  1. i use the 510 ZFM carts, and have been using them for a few months with my ego. most of the time they work, and work really well for me. accidents can happen though, if you do not insert the little silicone plug properly things can get messy. i have used the ones with the hole cut, and the H cut. the H cut is my current favorite, but both have worked for me. i have not wrecked one yet, but i have lost one temporarily in a reclining chair. these little silicone plugs are tiny, bouncy things. they can be interesting to juggle at times. once i got used to handling these things though, i have not found any better alternative for me yet. i've tried 510 cartomizers on my ego and still default to using the zfm carts when i leave the house. i plan on trying the new ego cartomizer when i place my next order for supplies, but i will not be throwing out the zfm carts.
  2. some possible reasons for this ban: lack of interest in reasonable research on the actual activity or contents of any byproduct...there's a cloud of "smoke" produced, "that must be dangerously offensive to someone."...ban. lack of understanding, smoking cigarettes will kill you. vaping is probably not as dangerous, but not nearly as myopically scrutinized as tobacco has been. the research is not there. those that have chosen to engage themselves in the act of vaping are (i hope) not holding a lit cigarette in the other hand. some people just do not *see* this. these people do not seem to understand that we have either stopped, or are trying to stop, using tobacco products for our own reasons, in our own way. we may choose to vape instead of smoke because we see it as a viable alternative that we have some control over. some people see- hand to mouth, inhale... exhale>cloud=smoking. the stigma of tobacco is so strong to these people that the only perception possible is that "this is a vile and deadly thing that should be immediately squashed before my children see"...ban what about our children? i ask this in all seriousness, when we are proffered a myriad of alternatives that do not seem to work completely for us, and we find something that can potentially end our personal servitude to tobacco thus giving us more and better time with our children, why would someone want to take it away? i can think of a couple of reasons, not good ones though. land of the free, home of the brave indeed.
  3. no, i did not do anything but clean them up and put them back together. the mouthpiece does need to be aligned with the atty properly to work best here. that has been the only thing that required any thought by me so far. :-)
  4. i am happily using one of the 510s now. he shipped promptly, over all a good experience. they take a little getting used to, but it has been worth it for me. good flavor, less frequent fill ups, but i go through juice faster
  5. ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit...ow, quitit... ow, QUIT IT!
  6. TeriJo, congratulations on your soon to come EGO. if the first impressions of a noob like me are any indication, i'd say you are going to be pleased with your decision. i started with a 901 january 8th, ordered a DSE905 a week later, and have been very happy with it since. i wanted a back up for the DSE905, and wanted something less conspicuous. the first battery came off the charger for my new EGO a few hours ago, and i must say WOW this thing is amazing. it hits like a two ton heavy thing. three and a half hours in to the first battery and still going strong. as far as the DSE905's battery life, i did have one episode where i forgot to change a battery before going to work and ended up making it a total of 36 hours on one battery. i did sleep for 7 of those hours though. that happened during the second week i had it. i don't know if the same battery would do it again now. i swap them every 12 to 16 hours just to be safe.
  7. funny topic. now that you mention it, i had noticed it. i caught myself vaping in my music studio last week while at the computer. i keep a hygrometer there to monitor the humidity for the instruments. i tried to make the reading change, but lacked the attention span to make a noticeable change. got to try harder next time. the fact that i noticed it in my facial hair is what got me to try though.
