  1. Hi Opie. I haven't been vaping much longer than you have but I've quickly learned that pure VG is the way for me. For my wife, she can't handle PG at all. For me, VG is much easier to vap (PG gives me a sore throat) and the vapor itself is just so pleasant. I've had my hands on some of Rath's pure VG i got from electronicstix, and I love it. I got: Ebacco, Pina Colada, Mocha Mint Coffee, and Ebacco Menthol. Also got a few of the PG liquids, but I hardly touch them due to the sore throat issue. I love all 4 flavors, my favorite of which is the Ebacco. I wish it were a little stronger flavor-wise, so I'm actually in the process of shopping around for another pure VG tobacco flavor with a little more kick (but not more nic). I have no idea what your preference in menthol is like, but if you prefer light menthols that are very smooth and not very raspy or harsh, then you'll love Rath's menthol juice. For a menthol, it's very light and not very strong on the actual menthol crystals.
  2. Apologies in advance to the Mods, as I may be getting off subject here. Thanks Brian and FTJoe! I swear when I checked them out 2 days ago they were sold out. But, there are so many sites that I have a hard time keeping them straight. Good to see that at least some folks have them. I tend to shy away from totallywicked's site. Not 100% sure why, but I guess the site design has a little too much pomp and circumstance for me and somehow turns me off. I totally shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, especially considering that 5 pack of attys you referenced. But that does bring up an interesting point: the site mentions that the attys are the same as the singles that they sell and that they take off the 28day warranty due to the cost and nothing else. Makes sense, but has anyone here ordered some from them and found them to be the same type as the genuine Joye510 attys? I'm unfamiliar with the Titan versions.

  4. An excellent question for noobs such as myself. Especially considering the fact that black 510 attys are near to impossible to find right now (check out all your normal suppliers, everyone seems sold out; due to the popularity and chinese new year i'll have to assume). So this is actually something I'd be very interested in.
  5. Hey FTJoe, rock on with your zero nic-self! That's great. I'd like to get there one day. I've not bought anything over 11mg so far (but may need one for those social drinking occasions), and would like to back down to zero sometime. But, I'm not going to rush it. I'm just totally enamored by this VG vapor. It lingers and dances around, tickeling my beard as I exhale....... ok that sounded retarded, but it really does feel kinda cool Nice shopping list ya got there. Really I think 6.95 for a 10mil bottle is very very affordable considering this is premium "designer" juice.
  6. Ordered direct from http://www.electronicstix.com/main.sc The PG liquids on his site are called "Niquid". I'm not sure if that's just an in-house branded name or perhaps some other type of nickname. The Niquid flavors seem to be the generic/basic chinese PG flavors (like Camel, 555, Newport, Grape, etc etc). But they're definitely not marked as USA-made. He does however have a niquid base that is marked as USA-made (also a VG base) if you want to mix your own. I got 7 flavors in total. VG flavors = Ebacco Menthol, Pina Colada, Mocha Mint Coffee, and Ebacco. The PG Niquid flavors = Coffee, Vanilla, Pepsi. Side note about the menthol: It's pretty chilly here, and the liquid is still cold. There are solid menthol crystals in the mix and sides of the bottle. Sign of true menthol in the ingredients since menthol crystalizes just below room temperature. I just tried the Ebacco VG on my lunch break, but my atomizer is totally stuck with the Pina Colada taste, so I can't really tell what the Ebacco is like. Seems that with some of these specialty premium flavors, you need to clean your atty (or just use a different one) for each flavor. I love the vapor from VG juice. Very thick and almost sticky. Very appealing to me.
  7. My order from Rath came in today. Super fast too, ordered it Friday morning. Got 4 VGs (for the wife to try) and 3 PGs. But I just couldn't wait for her to get off work, so I busted out the Pina Colada. Holy guacomole batman, it's outragously good! Creamy pina colada, dead-on with what I would expect a virgin pina colada to taste like. And just as Adam and Jack from VaporCast so eloquently describe it, the vapor production is just redonkulous. I do notice it's very drying to the mouth, but no more so than an analog cigarette. So far, that's the only complaint I could think of, and really it's a very small one. I just couldn't wait to try all the other ones before posting. Had to jump on real quick b/c I was so excited.
  8. Thanks for the support everyone! I'm very happy how it turned out. May have even planted a seed in the head of my sister in law. I loaned her my 3rd set for the night and she loved it! Really enjoyed not having to get up inbetween fights to go have a stogie outside too. I'm thinking for those drinking occasions though, I should either have a higher nicotene juice on hand or just something with a little more kick. Got some menthol coming from Rath, so maybe that will do the trick.
  9. I obviously have no experience on this topic as I've not received my flavors from Rath yet (hopefully tuesday?). But as Chris stated, GrimmGreen did a review of his waffle juice (i've watched every one of his videos btw, the dude is awesome). The first one he received was total crap. Second one was totally awesome (1st one was very light, second one very dark). Here's the vid since he explains it better: I'm interested to see if I have the same experience.
  10. Thanks Snubber Test passed! Soooo happy about it too! This evening was the most challenging day so far. And I really feel that if I can pass this test, I can pass anything. Keep on vaping! I'm off to bed
  11. Brian and Uma, thanks for the tips! I switched back to my first atty (after the overnight cleaning) and found it to perform close to the same as my 2nd atty (flood vs famine). But Uma you touched on something I noticed: that first drag is very light and bubbly, so I've slowed it waaaaaaaaay down... That alone has helped a bunch! But I also found that I've had bad technique too (which seems to be contributing greatly to my lack of success). As stoopid as it sounds, I've been holding my 510 in a close-to-vertical position. Ya know, at about a -60 to -80 degree angle (down from my mouth). Pulling it up closer to 0 degrees or a little below has helped greatly! That coupled with slowing the drag waaaaay down seems to be fixing the problem! In my noobism, I assumed holding my 510 in a near vertical position would yield the best results (all the fluid would pool down on the atty, making the most contact area). But that seems to be counter intuitive, flooding the atty. At least, that's my thought. So holding the darn thing near horizontal has really improved the situation. I really feel stupid having to ask a question for something with such a simple solution, but I've still got enough noobism to let me get away with it Any other thoughts or updates, and I'll post them here. Thanks!
  12. For me, nothing comes closer to the "ultimate test" than watching UFC on pay-per-view while drinking beer with friends. As a PV noob, tonight is the hardest moment of my life in regards to trying to pass down an old favorite analog cigarette. So far tonight's UFC is definitely not disappointing, and that makes it so much harder (I'm typing this in-between rounds). Throw in 4 friends who love their analogs and I've got a tough situation to roll through. So far, success! I'm fogging up my living room with some awesome vap, and making everyone jealous that I don't have to run outside to grab a drag between rounds. Eat your hearts out! I'm staying strong and enjoying every moment... May have even converted my sister-in-law during the process (she's loving the extra 510 set I loaned her for the night, and hasn't gone outside for an analoge within the past 2hrs). 510 batteries, please don't quit on me now! I've got several more hours to go before I can call this test "completed". Will update when I go to bed (I have to work tomorrow, unlike everyone else in my house). Vap on!!!
  13. ...between flooding my cart and having it too dry. Using genuine Joye510 (verified by checking the comparison pictures elsewhere in the forum) and basic/generic china PG juice. Classic noob mistake, I took up direct dripping too soon! I suppose I should just stick with filling carts, but I wasn't getting the throat hit and vap that I needed. So I can't seem to find that sweet spot. 2 drops into my atty floods it for the first 3 drags (low vapor production, gurgling and bubbling sound). The 4th drag is perfect! But then the 5th is foul, tasting like burnt metal and very dry. This is consistent like clockwork every time; a very predictable pattern. 1 drop into the atty floods it for the first drag, 2nd one is near perfect, but then the 3rd and 4th starting tasting foul very quickly. Any suggestions? I've blown out my first atty into a paper towel until it was completely dry then left it upside down overnight. I haven't switched back to it yet, but plan to soon to see if that does anything. What do you think I'm doing wrong?
