What if your juice actually freezes? The HIGH temperature at my house today was 5. Not wind chill, actual temp... 5 degrees Fahrenheit.

Hi Crimus, welcome to the forum. I think you're going to have a tough time getting a straight answer to these questions. It's all such a matter of personal taste. One persons good throat hit, might be totally harsh to someone else; or, might seem like nothing at all. Some people like to buy very high nicotine content juice, almost all of that is a solution using PG. That's Propylene Glycol, a chemical that is used in some antifreeze, but is not nearly as harmful as ethylene glycol, PG's more toxic, less expensive (therefore, much more widely used in antifreeze) cousin. This high nicotine juice can then be cut down to a reasonable level with the addition of more PG or vegetable glycerin, VG, and flavored using a variety of liquid flavorings, available at e-cig cites, or just your local bakery supply store. I believe there are sites that offer a juice that has no PG in it at all, in flavored and unflavored, but you'll have to search a bit to find that. PG and VG give a different "feel," and, the amount of flavoring can change the throat hit also. You're perfect blend, (or blends) will come from a mix of these ingredients. If you can find one premixed the way you like it, you'll be way ahead of the game. Chances are, if you really want it perfect for you, you'll have to get some supplies, and do some experimenting. That's the stage of vaping I'm at right now. Just ask more questions on Vapor Talk whenever you need to, and read up on properly storing your juice. (There's a topic going on about that right now.) That's probably the one thing that will affect the shelf life of your juice the most.

My cat is definitely strange. She'll lick the floor after my wife sprays perfume. She licks the lotion off of my wife's legs in the morning. My personal favorite is when she licks my arm pit, because she likes the deodorant. (What a way to wake up!) So I have no idea what she'd do with PG. I just know I don't want to find out.

I decided to post this here, instead of in the e-liquid section, so hopefully more people will see it and spread the word. There are some health risks involving PG (propylene glycol) and cats. Here's a PDF with some info. So be sure to keep your PG stored in a safe place. Thanks to jmhester for pointing this out to me.

Thank you FTJoe. After considerable research and lots of reading, I've made a decision. Mostly based on the fact that the wireless card in my laptop is not easily supported by Linux (Ubuntu is what I was most interested in) I will go "Cool Hand Luke" and do nothing. Sometimes I forget what a wonderful option that is. When this Compaq finally dies, I'll buy a MacBook.

Although I did buy a flat black 510 kit, my original copper set from Electro-Nic Stix is vaping awesome. Jason only has the real Joye's.

I would say that Propylene Glycol USP, is Propylene Glycol USP. If you have any doubts, you could order some from the DIY Flavor Shack and maybe pick up some other stuff at the same time. Type "PG" into their search box and you'll find that they have 20ml bottles for $2.50. I've read a few good things about them, and think I might try some of their stuff.

What I'm saying is, caring, and being outraged, and investing time, and writing letters, and talking to local government, seem like such a waste when, not only do you not see any positive change, but things just spiral further down the drain. I wish I could just not care, mostly because I care so much.

Take a sharpie (I used a red one) and color up the positive end of the battery. (on the sides, not the actual end) I know my 44 year old eyes have trouble easily seeing the little + and -, especially considering that it's black print on a gray field. Maybe I should post this in the mods section... "Easiest mod ever!"

So, last week I got some 24mg clove flavored juice from a site I can't even find anymore. It's okay, but not quite the throat hit that would remind me of a real clove cigarette. Then, today, in anticipation of my 54mg "base juice" from Totally Wicked, I stopped at the local bakers supply store to pick up some Lorann flavors and a bottle of VG. When I saw the clove oil, I grabbed a dram of that too, and then started wondering about mixing an oil into e-juice. I came home and found THIS RECIPE and I'd love some input before I try it.

I used to go through 20 or 30 analogs a day. Now I'd consider myself a heavy vaper. My biggest problem is that I vape much later into the evening than I ever smoked, probably because I don't have to go outside. I should probably try to change that.

I have two words for you, VapinCT.... Hy sterical! I've had people tell me that there's a kiosk in one of the malls here, but I haven't seen it yet. I'm just glad you stepped it before somebody got suckered! I absolutely abhor salesmen like this. I hope I'd do the same thing it that situation.

Actually, I think you've mixed it down to 27mg. (75% of 36) I'm glad to hear it's working out for you, because I was just thinking of picking up some VG tomorrow.

I'm sure you know, Travis, that the problem with common sense (like this) is... it's not common.

I can think of one way to quickly remove every tattoo this creep has above the neck.
