the 510 atomizer that comes with the Spade is killer! I just ordered 2 more along with a bunch of juice. Chris, I noticed that this atomizer has a 4 digit number engraved on the bottom of the atomizer. Never seen this before but I remember seeing you mention something about the 'good' 510 atomizers having this. Shane

True, my very first 510 atomizer that I got with my first kit is still going strong and is still the best atomizer I have. When it dies I may have to bury it in the back yard with a lavish headstone. BTW it is my VT Exotic Tobacco atomizer, it so rocks.

if it works, vape it until it doesn't work anymore. New, old, doesn't matter. If it works and works well, use it. I know it's a non-answer but maybe a better way to approach your problem.

I agree. For my part I am willing to spend a few extra $ to know that what I buy is top quality and is going to work well. I think we have all dealt with the question of if what we ordered is going to be worth the cost. In the end, the security of knowing that we will be getting good merchandise is worth it. I prefer to buy from those that I know will ship a quality product, and if there is a problem, they will make good. If I get crap, even at a crazy low price, I will never buy again. Selling a product in bulk for a deep discount that you don't stand behind can only serve to hurt your business in the long run. The cost of one bad review is quite steep, much more than a 5-pack of Chinese atomizers. Your customers are your life blood, few deep cuts and you are dead. Shane

I've been using the pyramid tea bag for a few days now in my 510 and it does seem to work quite well. I am doing it the way that GrimmGreen showed on one of his videos. Basically roll it up, fold in half, cut to length, then make a few cuts vertically to sort of fray the business end. I think this is makes a better filler material than the polyfill. I remember Chris and a few others noting that the 510 seems to like to have a cart on it to get good flavor. If you just drip with not cart filler, there is a bit of a metallic taste from the atomizer. I tend to mainly drip but do use the cart where I put one drop on the cart, two on the atomizer (though I start with a good moist cart). That way you get good vapor, good flavor, and if you don't keep the cart too full, you avoid getting juice in your mouth which basically sucks. What I like about this filler material is that you don't get the burnt polyfill taste and it seems to wick much better and more consistently. Now if the atomizer/cart is getting dry, I just get a bit of the metallic atomizer taste and then I just re-drip using the 1:2. It's really easy to do and just plain works. Plus the tea isn't half bad. Shane

Yea the Spade is really nice looking, I actually ordered one. I am a 510 user so that just seemed to make sense for me. Though I also ordered the VP Passthrough as well to use at home. That way I can sit home with the PT and use the larger 801 atomizer. On the go, the Spade with the 510 atty is just smaller and more streamlined. Plus the black is so much more stealthy and slick looking. The VP2 looks great but I didn't really want something that big or shiny. Shane

I heartily concur on both points. I just pulled out a bottle of 555 I have and did a side-by-side with the exotic tobacco. And the ET is to 555 what Dulcis is to the RY4, a better version of that flavor that you know and love. I'm not sure that I would call the Dulcis less sweet. To me RY4 has a difference balance of flavor where you can taste the tobacco base a bit more. The Dulcis seems to punch up the caramel but also adds something slightly tart that cuts the sweet. I have to admit that coming off of analogs, my taste buds are coming back and the flavors in these juices are starting to change radically to me (in a good way). So what I am tasting may be very different in a few weeks and is currently different from what you and others taste. Shane.

I've had one or two small issues with my wall charger where it partially charges the battery and then goes green (on a 510). I noticed it when the battery was dead and then showed full charge way too quickly. I would unscrew the battery and then screw it back in and it would go back to charging. One thing that I have noticed is that there tends to be what looks like black carbonized gunk that builds up on the threads of the atomizer and battery after some use. I try to clean both thoroughly whenever I see it. Not sure if that build up tends to give a bad connection with the battery and stop the charger from working correctly. Shane

The exotic tobacco and dulcis both tend to live on the business end of my 510 on a daily basis I'm on the north end of Orlando, in the Lake Mary/Sanford area. It was really nice to wake up, walk outside and feel the cool, just wish it wasn't so cloudy. I'm originally from much farther south, Barbados to be exact, but I too love the cooler weather. Shane.

Well if you like 555 definitely also try the VT Exotic tobacco, similar nutty flavor but spicier. Now that my taste buds are coming back I am starting to pick up some wonderful spice notes in that juice, things like cardamom. The Dulcis is sort of an RY4 on crack, similar but more intensely flavored. And I too am finally enjoying some cool weather here in FL. Better enjoy it wile it lasts (all 3 weeks). Shane

It seems to me that RY4 and its variants are, or are becoming, THE classic flavor of Juice. Even Eliquid Planet refers to it as "The Legend". Several other suppliers have produced their own versions of this flavor, like my favorite, the VT Dulcis (fantastic stuff). So, say that e-cigs were banned tomorrow (god forbid), would this be the juice that people would be paying exorbitant prices to get, whose name is whispered with reverence in back alleys? Discuss...

I'll throw my vote in for the 510 as well. As others have said, the manual battery is a good thing. I think the manual battery is a much more reliable choice. The only down side is forgetting that it is in your pocket and sit down, a few seconds later you wonder what the hell that burning sensation is on your thigh Oh, and if you decide on the 510, I highly recommend picking up a PCC as well, these are a must. That should last you a couple of months for sure. I was a pack a day smoker and i probably go through a 10ml bottle of juice in a week so use that as a gauge. One other thing you may need is a few boxes of blank carts. If you are refilling your carts, you will find that they need replacing every few days. The filling material starts to not hold the juice as well and can give a bad taste after a while. Another option would be to just replace the filling itself. Others around here would probably be able to recommend the proper filling material. Shane
