  1. I LOVE fun. I hate gettin beaned by a fish !
  2. OK, this is the part of Modding I hate, cause I LOVE these stories, but, we better get back on topic. I dont want Chris to gimme a whammy !
  3. Ive only had three stickers on all the Vehicles Ive ever owned. One was a US Navy sticker when I was in the Navy. Right next to that one, I had a Ronald Reagan for President sticker, cause ALL of us in the military wanted him in and Carter out. And the last one I had a few years ago said "Jesus is coming, and is he ever pissed". I believe a sticker should say exactly how you feel, so I cant wait for these !
  4. Great Posts ! My wife and I have our CCW here in Florida.Of course, here in Fla, pretty much the only requirement to get one is to have a pulse. It was great when we went to Missouri, every state we drove through recognized our permits as valid. I too, was HEAVILY influenced by my Father. He was 1st generation Irish. HIS father came to the U.S. under an assumed name as he was running from the British. He was a member of the Micheal Collins gang. MY father became a NYC Detective. My mother was born in Kilkenny, Ireland. So its no wonder Im just a leeetle bit stubborn. When my dad retired, he moved to a town in upstate NY called Walton. He was the Mayor for 2 terms (died during his 2nd term). He was SOOO loved by that town, his funeral was on TV, the papers, it was surreal. The 1st night of his wake, the phone rang, I answered. It was Gov. Pataki calling to say he was sorry he couldnt attend. The town built an Olympic sized swimming pool and a park and named it the John J. Kelly Memorial Park. Try fillin those shoes. So yes, there were some HEATED discussions on politics in our house. Luckily, I was always on my Dads side, my liberal brother, however, didnt fare so well. But it was always friendly arguments, never any animosity afterwards. And THATS what I love my Da for the most, he ENCOURAGED us to form our own opinions. And didnt love us any less for disagreeing with him.
  5. Mr. Richards - Sir, I bow to you ! I have read DOZENS of letters, even written a few myself, and that is by FAR the best, bar none. How ANYONE with one scintella of brain matter could argue ANY of the points you made is beyond me. Back when Tommy Jefferson wrote that little document called the Declaration of Independence, the other members of Congress stood back and said " Yupper, thats the one we'll use". Well, as far as Im concerned, YOUR letter should be the template for our cause. I seriously doubt anyone could say it better ! Bravo sir ! P.S. - This line actually made me jump out of my chair and yell "OOOOH RAHHH !!!!" "I have a 17 year old daughter. Who will stop her from buying e-cigs? The same people who keep her from buying alcohol, and tobacco now... me, and her mother."
  6. DONT LOSE FAITH, Fayth ! A LOT of us have been where you are now. I had the BLU first, and went thru the SAME frustration. One good thing I will say for Blu, is they WILL refund you. They dont have bad customer service, just OVERWHELMED customer service reps dealing with a LOT of angry customers. And for the most part, they are pretty fast with refunds from what Ive heard. If you gotta have analogs in between, have analogs. Its O.K. As long as you stick to your plan, its no big deal, and NO ONE has the right to judge you for it. Even though I dont smoke anymore, I absolutely support ANYONES right to do so. I cant be a hypocrite when I smoked for 30 years. You didnt let ANYONE down, the Blu let YOU down. So, adapt and maintain, and wait for the 510. We're ALL here for ya !
  7. Talk about "Great Balls Of Fire" !! Yeeeeowchhh !!
  8. LOL ! Welcome back Dd ! I was the same way when I was out for a few days with the flu. As I layed my aching, weary, stuffy head down on the pillow, you could hear muffled whimpers of " I need my VaporTalk", every hour or so. After an hour or so of fever induced sleep, I would pick my body up, determined to crawl to the computer, only to fall back in bed again, a tear streaming down my cheek. VaporTalk was my fuel to recovery. Sad ? Maybe. Effective ? Oh yeah.
  9. Awesome, another small voice in a vast ocean speaks the truth. This is the quote that EVERY opponent must read - "If the majority of users were substituting e-cigarettes for FDA-approved smoking cessation products, perhaps e-cigarettes would deserve to be treated like other nicotine-delivery devices. But the nicotine-delivery devices that e-cigarette users have given up are tobacco cigarettes. They are not using e-cigarettes because of any outrageous health claims on the part of retailers. They are using them because, unlike the FDA-approved smoking cessation products, these work. " I hope the truth eventually finds the path to these nay-sayers doors.
  10. Another thought, when a smoker tells you youre smoking a "fake" cigarette, you could always enlighten them with the fact that, when they're in the hospital breathing on thier "fake" lung, it'll be safe for you to smoke your "fake" cig when you visit them.
  11. I know this isnt DIRECTLY related to e cigs, BUT, in a sidestepping way it is. I dont think we stand a chance with the butt-clowns in office now, so MAYBE with a new crew in Washington, e cigs might stand a chance, along with a few other things, like our RIGHTS. ( I know, Im SOOO political ) NOVEMBER 2010 Start getting ready for the Nov 2010 elections. Remember the motto : If they're "IN;" they're "OUT." The 2010 Election Day .... Your U.S. House & Senate have voted themselves $4,700 and $5,300 raises. 1. They voted to not give you a S.S. cost of living raise in 2010 and 2011. 2. Your Medicare premiums will go up $285.60 for the 2-years and you will not get the 3% COLA or $660/yr. Your total 2-yr loss and cost is $1,600 or $3,200 for husband and wife. Plain enough?????? 3. Every member of Congress will get an added $10,000 which is putting them very close to $200,000 per year. Sounds like an elite class to me. 4. Do you feel SCREWED? They vote themselves a raise and better benefits. They only care about WE THE PEOPLE on election day, right? You never did anything about it in the past. The time for action is near!!!! 5. Do you really think that Nancy, Harry, Chris, Charlie, Barnie, et al, care about you? SEND THE MESSAGE-- You're FIRED. *** THIS IS NOT ABOUT POLITICAL PARTIES! IN 2010 YOU WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO GET RID OF THE ENTIRE SITTING CONGRESS, Up to 1/3 OF THE SENATE, AND 100% OF THE HOUSE. The election in 2010 will be a sea-change to the mindset of any member of Congress who may survive. It is ok to forward this to your sphere of influence if you ARE finally tired of this abuse. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
  12. My Uncle sent me this e mail, I dont know if its true or not, but HOW cool if it is true ! AN ACTUAL CRAIG'S LIST PERSONALS AD To the Guy Who Tried to Mug Me in Downtown Savannah night before last. Date: 2009-05-27, 1 :43 a.m. E.S.T. I was the guy wearing the black Burberry jacket that you demanded that I hand over, shortly after you pulled the knife on me and my girlfriend, threatening our lives. You also asked for my girlfriend's purse and earrings. I can only hope that you somehow come across this rather important message. First, I'd like to apologize for your embarrassment; I didn't expect you to actually crap in your pants when I drew my pistol after you took my jacket. The even ing was not that cold, and I was wearing the jacket for a reason. My girlfriend had just bought me that Kimber Model 1911 .45 ACP pistol for my birthday, and we had picked up a shoulder holster for it that very evening. Obviously you agree that it is a very intimidating weapon when pointed at your head ... isn't it?! I know it probably wasn't fun walking back to wherever you'd come from with that brown sludge in your pants. I'm sure it was even worse walking bare-footed since I made you leave your shoes, cell phone, and wallet with me. [That prevented you from calling or running to your buddies to come help mug us again]. After I called your mother or "Momma" as you had her listed in your cell, I explained the entire episode of what you'd done. Then I went and filled up my gas tank as well as those of four other people in the gas station, -- on your credit card. The guy with the big motor home took 150 gallons and was extremely grateful! I gave your shoes to a homeless guy outside Vinnie Van Go Go's, along with all the cash in your wallet. [That made his day!] I then threw your wallet into the big pink "pimp mobile" that was parked at the curb ... after I broke the windshield and side window and keyed the entire driver's side of the car. Later, I called a bunch of phone sex numbers from your cell phone. Ma Bell just now shut down the line, although I only used the phone for a little over a day now, so what 's going on with that? Earlier, I managed to get in twothreatening phone calls to the DA's office and one to the FBI, while mentioning President Obama as my possible target. The FBI guy seemed really intense and we had a nice long chat (I guess while he traced your number etc.). In a way, perhaps I should apologize for not killing you ... but I feel this type of retribution is a far more appropriate punishment for your threatened crime. I wish you well as you try to sort through some of these rather immediate pressing issues, and can only hope that you have the opportunity to reflect upon, and perhaps reconsider, the career path you've chosen to pursue in life. Remember, next time you might not be so lucky.Have a good day! Thoughtfully yours, Alex P.S. Remember this motto ... An armed society makes for a more civil society!
  13. Personally, I dont care if you call them fake, plastic, dumb, ***, stupid, or whatever. You should always tell them, the proof is in the pudding, you no longer smoke, and THATS whats important.
  14. Well, thats a tough one to answer. A lot would depend on what model you have. But, one important part of maintenance is keeping your attys clean. Personally, Im a firm believer in "if it aint broke, dont fix it". I dont clean my attys until I notice a big loss in vapor. You might want to check out the "Help, It Broke" section in the General Forums. Theres a lot of helpful advice there.
  15. Welcome. Yes, I too got the blues from my Blu. It was my first vape and like you, it let me down in a BIG way. It was a tease and like you, I thought, well the concept is right and it works in theory so..... I took everyones advice and got the 510. I havent looked back. Now, I ordered the Blu because I wanted one that LOOKED like a real cig (analog). But after the Blu, I decided to go for production rather than looks. I still have my Blu JUST IN CASE something happens to my 510. ( In 4 months its STILL goin strong). But I highly recommend you start with the 510. There are MANY suppliers here in the supplier section. Arno @ awesomevapor.com comes HIGHLY reccommended by many members, and hes where I purchased my 510. Arno is great at answering any questions you might have as well. Good luck, and keep us posted on your progress. DONT hesitate to ask any questions you might have, thats why we;re here !
  16. Just goes to show you just how MUCH power Big Pharm has over all our buddies in the House and Senate. It takes a LOT of money to approve an OBVIOUS joke like Chantix, and turn a blind eye to e cigs, cause we have no big money lobbyists on our side. When the next elections roll around, we need to send a LOUD message to all of them, "YOURE FIRED", and vote EVERY incumbant out, regardless of party.

Hey Beemer. I was JUST like you when I first started, skeptical to say the least. I tried EVERYTHING, the gum, the lozenges, the patch ( couldnt keep it lit ), cold turkey, EVERYTHING. But, thing is, I didnt WANT to quit. I LOVED smoking. Hated hacking up a lung oyster every day, hated feeling weak all the time and out of breath. But, quite frankly, I didnt care, I liked smoking. What caught my eye with e cigs was the "alternative" to smoking aspect. I thought to myself, "self, I get to stop smoking, and KEEP smoking ?" Just seemed to good to be true. So I went into vaping, NOT intending to quit.I figured, if it could even just cut the cost down a little, thats a plus. But, these things ARE miracle workers, at least in my case. After making just a few minor tweeks at the beginning, without even realizing it, I wasnt smoking anymore. I didnt WANT a smoke anymore. It snuck up on me. It was SOOOOOO friggin cool. And the proof is in the pudding, the Govt thinks its wrong, so it MUST be right. Also, I have NEVER belonged to ANY forum before VT. Never even looked at one. I was SOOOOO lucky to find this place. I think the BIG reason the transition was so easy was because of Vapor Talk and all the great people on here. Everyone here, and I mean EVERYONE, looks forward in the most sincere way to helping you and everyone else become a part of the Vaping community, because when you win, we win. Keep us posted with your progress, and remember, we LOVE helping noobies out. Heck, I STILL consider MYSELF a noobie, Im ALWAYS learning something new here. See ya round !
  18. Ahh, but now, we must protect his rights, afford him free legal counsel, feed, cloth, and offer health care for the next 5 years before his trial begins, which will surely result in appeal after appeal if convicted, or instant freedom should he be found innocent because his rights were violated in some way. At the very least, he will worry not for the next several years while the rest of us struggle and scrimp and save to get by from paycheck to paycheck while paying the taxes that will support this arseclown. I know, I know, its not perfect but its the best legal system in the world. Well, IMHO, it can be perfected. Put this jerk on a plane, by himself, with a bomb, and let him finish his job. Tied to the wing at 35,000 feet before it detonates would be justice as far as Im concerned.
  19. I usually get 2 - 4 hours off a 510 batt, and thats with chain vaping. If you have access to your car during the day, a car charger might help. Im not sure I would take a mod to a jobsite, just because its too easy to have one break, and they are a little more expensive to replace. One thing to consider, units like the Blu or Volcano with auto batts are easily tripped off by sound, so working heavy equipment MAY kill yer batts REALLY quick. A 510 or any unit with a manual batt is the way to go, IMHO.
  20. I got over my flu. My granddaughter got her Barbie dollhouse. And last night on VT, I witnessed one of the nicest acts of kindness Ive ever seen. Im a happy camper ! Merry Christmas everyone ! ( Oh yeah, and tonight Ima eat me a WHOLE buncha turkey !!! ).
  21. Remember this story, it has a HAPPY ending ! Merry Christmas everyone ! The grinch in Sonoma Co., California, who had the Angel removed from a tree at a Govt Building, is probably not smiling today. After public outcry, and outright refusal by some Govt employees to remove the articles, the decision was overturned. Read it on Foxnews.com. Merry Christmas evrybody !

Welcome BMW ! Im gonna move this post to the Noobie section where your question may get answered quicker.
  23. Well, first, let me start by welcoming you Oper8tor, and good luck. I gather your looking for advice on which unit to purchase for your first model. I can only tell you what I use, which is a joye510, and I love it. BUT, Im not operating heavy machinery. So Im gonna let some other members help you out with that. Im also going to move this post to the area where a lot of people will be able to help you. Good luck, and keep us posted on your progress, we;re here to help !
  24. IMHO - Dulcis is a close 2nd to Traditional Tobacco ( Keenans Private Stock ). Its not as bold, a little smoother, but very very good.
