  1. Hi-5!!! You'll get to spend some extra years with him now. As for your brothers. just beat the crap out of them , take all their analogs from them and leave them started kits. What's family for anyways.
  2. I bought my first kit on a Tuesday. I still had a pack left, so I vaped a low nicotine juice and finished my pack by Fri 8-7-09. Since then I haven't needed an analog cig. I wanted one, but I just took a few drags off my e-cig and poof!!! craving gone. Like keenan, I enjoyed smoking and this is the best alternative to it. Give it try. You won't be disappointed. And remember, we are here to help you. All of us have done it with the help of vaportalk and all it's members, you can too.<---Did that sound chezzy????? If it's the investment you are worried about, some suppliers offer a satisfaction money-back guaranty. -TheGreen
  3. I think I have tried most of them. From Fluval to the brass screen mod, teabag mod, 100% poly-fill, etc, etc. I got tired of the juice leakage and poor wicking. I know there are some good cartridge mods out there, but I think I'll just wait until someone mass produces a quality one. I would have to say that I learned a lot about my e-cig by experimenting with it. Now I direct drip. It's simple, no carts to clean and refill. I also heard that the vaportalk store will have a direct drip device similar to the e dobit that has great potential.
  4. bz, I'd like to see some pics of it when it put together. I don't mind the heat, but I am curious what it'll look like.
  5. This maybe something overlooked by us. I've been vaping for 3 months now and it never occured to me to clean my charger. I took a paper towel and cleaned the threads of my charger as you would when you clean your atty's and batteries. Boy was it dirty . I could see this causing a problem in charging. So if you are having problems with batteries charging, the problem my be a dirty charger. Cya Later, -TheGreen
  6. Get the Joye510 from awesomevapor.com You'll be happy you did. I am
  7. The J118 looks to be the DSE901 branded the J118. It provides a good thoat hit. I would have to disagree with Sinikal though. I have a DSE801 and it provides a great thoat hit. Better than the Joye510 due to it's larger atomizer. I would suggest a DSE401. They are good units but a downfall of having an automatic battery. I think overall the Joye 510 would still be a decent choice. Just get e-juice with a low mg nicotine content. This will reduce the "thoat hit" and still have a quality e-cig with a manual battery. Hope this helps, -TheGreen
  8. A watermelon and strawberry mix cause that's all I have left My juice should be in today Whew!!!!
  9. You know if you drop the relationship, you would only have to work one job....j/k. But who's going to wash the dishes???? Oh well, better keep the second job.
  10. Very sweet!!!! I like the baby J. Nice features. It's cool to see new products coming out. Hopefully there will be some redesigned atty's soon. Also, he needs to talk to Sean so he can fix the mirror image on his cam....lol
  11. I get a better thoat hit with the high mg. I like to hit the 24mg after a fustrating day or when dealing with the ex-wife. I don't really notice much change in the taste or vapor production. I do like to add a little VG to the high mg to make a thicker vapor and lower the mg.
  12. Santa's not real??? Next you'll tell me there's no Easter Bunny.... Which I would believe. bunnies don't lay eggs. If they did, eggs would be 10cents a dozen.
  13. I started with a cartomizer and now I use an 801 at work and a 510 at home. I like to play around with the cartomizer once in a while just for fun. I also got an 801 pass-thru from SmokingMan from the classifieds here on VT that he had laying around collecting dust.
  14. My own mix of 1/3 strawberry, 1/3 watermelon, 1/3 VG, and a few drops of Lorann's watermelon flavoring to give the VG some flavor. Which works out to about 18mg nic........ YUM!!!!!
  15. This didn't happen to Chris, it happened to a member on the ECF (e-cigarette-forum). ....@ chrismonk..... The batteries in standard e-cigs like the 901, 801, 510, etc, are protected batteries. That's why the led flashes when the voltage in the battery gets low to protect from over discharge.
  16. Nice find!!! I listened in and it seemed to be pretty positive for E-cigs. I think a podcast can be downloaded of the interview. I don't have time right now to find it, but if someone can and post it, that would be great.
  17. Welcome to the forum, Derek. Your story is quite a common one. I started off the same way. And as you did, found Vaportalk which really helped me succeed in giving up the analogs for good. It's been 2 1/2 months for me now and it feels great. TheGreen
  18. I think it's a good idea. I know of another forum that does this but it is so unorganized. Maybe have some sub-catigories so it will be easier to find what we are looking for.
  19. Our recommended dilution is 1 drop of tobacco absolute per 5ml of pure grain alcohol (PGA). Same as everclear that you can pickup at a liquor store.

    Help?

Hi Niki and welcome, I started out with a similar model to yours. Like Chris said, it takes a little time to get the atty (atomizer) broke in. Unfortunately with a cartomizer you have to do this every time you change carts (cartridges). As with most of us, you will be ordering a new 3 piece e-cig in the near future. The 3 piece unit like the Joye510, DSE901, and DSE801-Penstyle, deliver more vapor and are less expensive as you are only refilling with juice and not replacing the atty after the cart is empty. Hang in there. With our help you will be "analog smoke-free" in no time. It only took me 4 days to drop the cancer sticks.
  21. The guys at work make fun when I reload my cart. I use a brass screen mod and I found the best way to refill it is with a syringe that I got from my diabetic sister-in-law. I can only imagine what to cars next to me at the stoplight are thinking when I am loading up the syringe.
