Cold/sinuses causing irritation with vaping?

Okay, I've only experimented with flavors I can kind of taste this morning because the sinus/cold situation has decided to hit me hard, but a lot of my flavors are giving me throat irritation when I vape them. Since this is the first time I've actually gotten sick since I started vaping, I'm assuming this is normal?

And just a note: when I smoked analogs, it didn't reduce my smoking when I got bronchitis like other people would. I might put the cigarette out early, but I still usually smoked at the same rate.

Since I switched to vaping I've only had one (or was it two?) sinus infections and one sore throat. When this happens I switched over to the blueberry with some peppermint thrown in to smooth it out. I can certainly taste the peppermint and it helps with the sore throat. I like this blend so much I've added it to my daily rotation. :)

Right after I started vaping but was not completely off analogs I got a very severe case of bronchitis and if I tried to vape it would make me cough even worse but so would the analogs just not as bad and then about a week after the worst of my infection cleared up I still could not vape without coughing so for a week I went back to the stinkies until I could vape comfortably. I am now completely off stinkies!

I've found that some juices will dry my throat out pretty bad, and with a little sinus infection it seems worse. In the mornings when my sinuses are acting up (seasonal allergies) I get a little metallic aftertaste when I vape, but it goes away as the morning progresses. Like you, when I was sick and smoking analogs, I rarely slowed down and never stopped, even in the worst of pneumonia or sore throats, mostly because analogs have a nice anesthetic property, and I was completely hooked on them :)

I think Tam's suggestion of adding a little peppermint might be something I'll try next time I have a cold or sinus issue... seems logical!

During allergy season I can't vape anything fruity especially in the morning, late evening yes.

Mint does help the soreness, I also switched to 40/60 pg/vg and I have less of a problem.

I do bakery flavors in the am, sweet buttery does better anything tart and I'm miserable.

I agree with vaping mint. It is such a soothing and natural flavor.

But you are also sick so your body is trying to rid itself of 'toxins'. Vaping e-juice isn't a natural thing that the body does or even need (other than to stop yourself from acutally smoking real cigarettes). So when your sick putting more unnatural things into your body (vapor from ejuice) seems unneccessary and unhelpful to the healing process - maybe explaing the sinus/ throat irritation.

Personally I would try to take a break off vaping ONLY IF YOU CAN. There might be a reason as to why your body is rejecting it at the moment. Maybe fall back onto some other excericeses to ease cravings - cough losenges, candies.... etc

Hang on in there!
