fran1959 Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Very cool, hopefully this means a smaller variable volt is coming soon
Emile Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 That is nuts but how do you know what voltage you're at? Volt meters don't work on Ego batteries.
Christopher Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Now that I have to say is pretty darn cool. It's now, only a matter of time before Joye Tech follows with it.
Brian Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Here's some FAQs about the booster: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/happyvaper/202635-ego-booster-faq.html Thought this was interesting: Does the Ego Booster work with the Riva or other 3.7 fat batt devices? Sadly, no. We found that 3.7 volt fat batts just could not produce the current required by the Ego Booster. As mentioned previously, if you connect an Ego Booster to one of these devices you will not damage the Ego Booster, however you may damage the battery. The Ego Booster uses the fact that genuine eGo batteries use what is called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to control the power going to the atomizer. If you use a device which does not use PWM, the battery must be capable of producing adequate current to power the Ego Booster. This is why we recommend high-current batteries for non-eGo devices.
Brian Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I reckon some people are going to start finding out that they have fake Joye Egos soon. LOL! This is really sweet though. I only take my eGo when I have to travel and this would be very nice to have.
