I Need To Know The Answer

I need to know this answer if someone could help. Like a earlier post I said that I am mixing my juices and need to find out the nicotine in my juice. I am using a 30ml bottle to start, then I add 50% of 555 that contains 4mg of nicotine. Next I use 35% of RY4 that contains 18mg of nicotine. Finally I top it off with 15% of Coffee that contains 24mg of nicotine. So I wanted to know what would be the total nicotine level in my mixture at the end ? So if someone knows the answer and tell me how they came up with the answer I would be very thankfull. :unworthy:

Youre total would be 11.9 mg/ml ( say 12mg/ml)

For the 555 you have 15 ml of 4mg/ml which equals 60mg

For the RY4 you have 10.5 ml of 18mg/ml which equals 189mg

For the Coffee you have 4.5 ml of 24mg/ml which equals 108mg

Add those 3 amounts ( 60 +189 + 108) and your total is 357mg

Now divide that amount by your total ml which is 30ml

The result is 11.9mg/ml

To the OP:

Since you know your percentages, and they add up to 100%, there is another simple way to calculate this:

Take your percentages, multiply by mg, add them together, and divide by 100.

First multiply percentage by mg:

35% at 18 mg=35*18 (35*18=630)

50% at 4 mg =50*4 (50*4 =200)

15% at 24 mg=15*24 (15*24=360)

Now, add your totals together: 630+200+360=1190

Now, since that makes 100%, didvide your total by 100:

1190/100=11.9

In essence, you are trying to find the average nicotine in the bottle.

Hope that helps! :)

Thank you so much ! Now I have to figure out how to bring the nic level up to 18mg. :help:

If you make a mixture that is 50% what you have there, the 11.9% and 50% the 24 mg coffee, that should make your nic content 17.95mg. Is that close enough?

Here is the math for you:

11.9+24=35.9

35.9/2=17.95

Easy peasy, if you have an extra bottle or room in yours. Remember, you don't have to mix up the whole batch if you are low on Coffee or bottles; just make whatever mixture you create half 24 mg, half 11.9 mg and you are fine.

Hope this helps!!

I wanna clarify the math here for future users: if you wanna find the average nic in a mixture of juices, just do it in this simple manner:

Let's say we have three juices, x, y and z.

Take the nic of each juice and fill in how many parts of it there are in the mixture.

For example:

1 part x, 12 mg

2 parts y, 24 mg

3 parts z, 18 mg

Add together all the parts:

12(1)+(24x2)+(18x3)=114

now we have 1+2+3=6 total parts

divide the sum of the nic contents by the total parts:

114/6=19

Your average nic content for that bottle is 19mg.

Hope this helps.
