  1. The NJOY King. The newest disposable making waves and flying off the shelf. With an ad campaign calling out traditional cigarettes saying they have "met their match" and the catchy little jingle (feels like the first time)...sorry it gets stuck in my head. My first e cig was an Njoy. I paid about 80$ for a starter kit and that experience left a bad taste in my mouth.....literally. So Im a bit bias against them. That and I know countless people that have bought an electronic cigarette at a gas station only to throw it out thinking that all e cigs suck. So lets see if the Njoy King can live up to its own hype, Below are 2 review styles Full: Detailed and technical tear down (see below) Basic: The short sweet truth (scroll to Bottom) First puff. WOW....wow.......give me a sec.......WOW. This is the most realistic "cigarette" taste Ive vaped. It is most similar to a camel light. I like tobacco flavors but I quit trying to find something like this a long time ago. After you quit your taste buds seem to come back to life and the taste isnt appealing any more. But right now, this is amazing. Im going to puff on it for a couple hours and test it out. Look and Feel. The Njoy King comes in a nice little flip top box. It comes with a little flyer in the middle with some information about the product and the recycling program (Ill cover it later) The top flips like a zippo lighter and over all its a nice way to carry it around. The cigarette its self has an amazing feel, its like holding a real cigarette. The King is a half inch shorter that a standard electronic cigarette and is covered in a paper wrap over the plastic tubed so it feels more realistic. The tip has a clear plastic wrap over it to keep it from getting wet in your mouth. The tip looks like a burnt cigarette and glows red to simulate smoking. Performance. The Njoy King is supposed to last as long as 2 packs....LIE. I used to smoke a pack a day, now I vape about 5ml a day. Thats 5 standard cartridges. 1 hour and 45 minutes, thats it, and the battery died.I have never been so impressed and so disappointed with an e cig. I will admit that the battery inside is about 35% smaller than a standard 808 (Blog, V2, Volt) electronic cigarette battery. The atomizer is a woven tube with a silica wick through the middle wrapped in a soft cotton like material. When I unwraped the wick it was almost dry again almost 35% smaller that a standard 808 or 510 (Blu, Volcano) So while they claim 2 packs (does vary depending on use) I cant see any way its capable of living up to half of its claim Overall/Basic Review The Njoy King is one of the most realistic cigarette like electronic cigarettes I have ever tried. It feels like a cigarette because of its smaller size and paper coating that again makes it feel like a real paper cigarette. It hits like a cigarette with a smooth throat kick nearly identical to a cigarette. It taste like a cigarette, mostly like a camel light. But I have never been more excited and disappointed with an electronic cigarette The MAJOR problem is that the size of the battery and atomizer cannot support more than a couple hours. At 8$ a piece and less than a 2 hour battery life it can never touch the 2 pack life claim. They do have a recycling program(click here) but it takes 8 used Kings to get 1 for free. They also have a free trial you can order for 2.99 shipping Pros: Great taste, really does taste like a real cigarette The paper texture even feels like a real cigarette The throat hit isnt harsh, and again, like a real cigarette They sell them every where it seems Cons: IT ONLY LAST A COUPLE HOURS 8$ a piece is two pack price around here Buy 8 get 1 free? Did I mention it only lasts a couple hours So there you have it. Amazing product, for a little while. Thanks for reading and click the picture below if you want to get a free sample for your self
  2. I tried to copy and paste from my blog but it wont take all the images. If you wasnt o see the full review click here I have been looking into a more traditional e cig. I get a lot of funny looks when Im using a box or tube mod in public. even when I try to explain it people tend to shy away from a 9" tube mod or a box with a tube coming out of it. I love my mods LOVE but if people are more receptive to mini e cigs, then by all means I would like them to ask me questions. I go to a lot of bars and restaurants where everyone goes outside to smoke. Though I do vape in side a lot, I run into a lot of people I know outside, and its a great opportunity to catch up and often tell them about e cigs. So in short I bring you,SMOKE REVOLUTION SMART PACK (PCC) KIT I know there are a lot of mass market e cigs out there. Im going to try to point out a lot of the differences between this kit and a lot of others. So load your carto, tank or atty and lets go through the kit I posted a picture the other day of the box, but before the box, you get to choose what comes in it. It comes in 2 configurations: a 2 piece e-cigarette kit, a 3 piece e-cigarette kit. So you can choose between an atomizer and a cartomizer setup. I went with cartomizers, one they are easy to fill and carry, two, if I can screw on a fresh one to let someone try it. The kit is $64.90, which is just a little under what you would expect to pay for a GOOD mini e cig kit. Shipping is free and took about 2 days to my home in WV. The biggest difference right off to me was a 1Yearr Warranty on the batteries and the PCC of course the atomizers and cartomisers have a shorter lifespan, but they come with a 15 Day Warranty. 1 year on a battery is huge thing in this industry, especially on a PCC that has a lot of functionality to it. So lets take a look at what you get The kit shows up in a nice box, all neatly packed to add to your vapemail excitement. You get the PCC, 2 manual batteries (yes manual, Ill explain later) 5 prefilled and sealed cartomisers with those little reusable caps, a usb to wall charger (its pretty small and flat, and the prongs fold in) and the USB cable. The PCC pack is really sturdy, I have had a couple 510 pccs and they were all pretty thin plastic. The Smoke revolution PCC is thick and heavy duty, has room hold 5 cartridges or cartomizers, an atomizer with a tip, and holds one battery while holding and charging another. The LCD is inset as is the USB port. The PCC is about the same size as a pack of regular cigarettes, but my favorite thing is the rubberized coating. It makes it really easy to grip, slide in and out of a pocket, and just looks cleaner. Its about as heavy as a zippo lighter and a pack of cigs. It has a single button across the front and is skinny enough that its easy to push, but hard to trigger in your pocket. The hinge is a metal pin through thicker plastic. There are two plastic indentions that hold the two plastic pins that are inside the top of the cover. Again, easy to open, but not going to fall open on its own. Little details like this are making me like this PCC. It adds to the sturdy factor I mentioned earlier. The LCD display, as I mentioned earlier is in set so its not going to get scratched easily. The silver bar below it is the button, well two buttons, one on the left and the other on the right. The LCD shines blue when showing how much charge the PCC has. When you screw the battery into the PCC and hold the right button, the battery LED will flash, and once the LCD on the PCC turns red, the battery is charging. You can press the right button again to see if the battery is done charging, the LCD will turn blue again. They say you can get up to eight charges off of a fully charged PCC. The bottom of the PCC has a flashlight, press the left button to turn it on. Hold the button for a few seconds and the light will stay on, press it again and it will go back off. Its a handy little feature, one you never need until you really need it. Its a pretty bright led, and creates a lot of light. The mini usd port is inset as well, and the mini usb is one of the most common ports. Any one with a old razr or blackberry charger has an extra on laying around now. The battery is a mini, just a little longer than the cartomizer its self. It really gives you that cigarette feel in the hand. Its not like holding a mod or something awkward, its like holding a cig. It weighs about as much an a pencil. The light is blue if you care about light color The switch is another big difference. It is pretty much flush so its not triggered in the PCC on in a pocket. Its a soft rubber button and stick up just enough to be easy to find and press. Most PCCs require automatic batteries, auto batteries have a hole up through the battery and lets juice in the battery if your not careful and will ruin the battery. Manuals are sealed and last a lot longer. Now for the performance. I used this for two days exclusively at work, and a couple of outings to local restaurants. I got about 6 solid charges on average. Usually the last or 7th charge depleted the PCCs battery and gave me about 75% charge on the battery itself. I did have to try to run out of battery. I have a car charger, I work on computers, I have outlets at work and home. I had to not charge it all day to run it out. I finally took one of the cartomizers and put it on my Bartleby and vaped them side by side on a full charge. The hit was identical, vapor production was the same. I did get a little warmer vapor from my Bartleby. The vapor and throat hit stayed consistent till the battery light started flashing to tell me the battery needed recharged. I wasnt much for the stock tobacco flavor they sent me. It hit really hard, and had great vapor production, but it tasted a little stronger than my taste, and had a sweet finish. I generally like rough tobacco vapes, but the sweetness was a little weird for me. I got a corner office recently, the largest one in the building, but they didnt tell me I would have to share it. Brent sets across the room from me and likes guessing the flavor of my vapes by the smell. he smokes cigarettes occasionally, and is in the process of quitting cigars. Hes dipping snuff now, so I finally gave up on letting him quit his way. I started showing him my new toy, and put on a new cartomiser and one of my old 510 batteries and passed it to him. He took a huge hit and coughed his but off. I explained to him that just because it was vapor didnt mean it didnt have throat hit. he started taking little puffs working his way up to where he was comfortable. Finally he sat back in his chair and started blowing vapor rings and grinning. "I like that" he smiled and said, "It taste like a full flavor with a sweet after taste, it taste like a cigarette but better. I dont have to chew a piece of gum to get the taste out of my mouth." I had to lend him the battery till I can talk him into buying something nicer. I shot Fernando at Smoke Revolution an email. He told me that the sweet taste makes it easier for smokers to transition to e cigs. I tried a couple of the other liquids I have (I will review those later) and they all have that sweet tobacco taste to them. I vape a lot of different liquids but these weren't for me, but Brent loved them. I had to pass out a few more. I caught up with a couple guys who used to come in the bar I worked at. After a few jokes, a few hits and a few coughs, they said the same. "Its good, like a little sweet mild cigar" "It just taste like a different brand" I guess its been so long since I quit smoking I forgot how bad cigarettes taste, but if your looking for something that taste better than a cigarette but still taste enough like one, Here you go. Over all this is my new setup for going out. I love my vv mod, I can turn the voltage up and vape myself stupid, but I have to carry extra equipment. My box mods are great but I still need to carry cartos. And the look on peoples faces when you open a bottom feeder and explain it, they would rather lilght up. Its nice to keep a few cartos in the PCC, charge it and leave it till I need it. I can just grab it and go. I dont have to keep batteries in my pocket, no extra bottles of juice, no chargers, I just grab my pack and throw it in my pocket. I dont even have to grab a lighter. Its easy, its got good vapor and throat hit, it will last me all night, by the time one battery is dead, that other is ready. The biggest thing for me is its so easy to get people interested in. If your looking for an all in one solution for the smoker you know you cant beat it. Sorry for such a long review, but Thank you for reading Check out Smoke Revolution, they have starter kits for $24, Want something bigger they have VGos, and Ill be reviewing some liquids from their soon too, As soon as I can find some smokers to help me out. 2]
  3. lol thanks guys, much appreciated
  4. Hey everyone. I'm sorry for my absence, but I have been on the road for a while and haven't had the ability to get any reviews up forever. But before I went on the road I stocked up on a few new things and the one were looking at today is Missy's Wet Box. There are a few vendors carrying this mod, I got mine at VaperDepot.com 39.99, you can catch an occasional coupon code and get one for CHEAP. Mine came with the box mod, feeder bottle, an extra bottle, and a couple cartos and a tip. I opted for 2 14500 batteries. I usually dont buy anything till I find it for a below average price, and Vaper Depot had the goods so to speak. The shipping was fast, customer support was excellent. I had a really good experience with them. Now on to the box. I had to spend a lot of time driving in the last month and dripping was out. I really didnt want to have to refill cartos at every stop, and I burn through CE2s really fast and lose flavor, and I hate the taste of my eGo Tanks, so bottom feeder it was. The cheapest thing I could get in a hurry was Missy's wet box. Yes I know there a lot of others out there but without having to wait for it to be built, build it myself, or lurk through classifieds this was my best option. It had a 510 fitting so it matched with 75% of my cartomizers and atomizers. I already had a multicharger that would fit the batteries, and it looked simple. Squeeze the bottle, get more juice. Above you can see the simplicity of the device. A 3ml bottle has a clear tube running from the bottom of the bottle to a syringe that has been fitted into the top of the cap. Squeezing the bottle injects juice into the bottom of your atomizer or cartomizer. The battery sits down in the box pretty tight with the spring, and they hide a small pin on the inside cover to clean the tube out if you ever get any crud in there. As you can see, almost all of the soldering is covered by epoxy. I have heard horror stories of these leaking into the switch, but at about one and a half months in mine is holding in well, and Im not a gentle person, I throw this in a bag full of junk, or in a pocket, and so far so good. I know the wiring isnt the highest gauge of say a Reo or a Phidias, but for a cheap mod to dip your toe in to the bottom feeder pool, this box is nice. In the picture above and the one at the very top you can see that the switch is tiny. I know a lot of people prefer the big button switches, but this is about the same thing that is on my Infinity, so Im happy with it. I has a real "POP" feel to it. You can hear it engage and disengage, and feel the pop when you push it in and pop back out when you release it. You can see the small black on/off switch here, a really nice feature to have on my road trips. I turned it on, vaped for a bit, then switched if off to save battery, and prevent misfires. As far as performance, this isnt going to knock your socks off. I have been using dual coils on it (though I have to drip every hour or so for the top coil to stay wet) and have been getting great vapor and throat hit out of them. Regular cartos preform well too, and having the juice feed is really nice on long road trips. I had a little learning curve with how much to squeeze at first but I didnt have any huge leaks. I found the it required a bit of a tilt to keep heavy vg juices like my bobas from getting sucked back down the tube. Mostly this is a good way to keep a carto full and wet or to drip with one hand. I did use this with an atomizer for a while to test a few new flavors with out having to commit a cartomiser to them. Overall I was really happy that for 50$ I had constant juice, I could switch out batteries once a day, and it took minimum effort to get it ready for the day. So if you like big batteries, juice feed, a small size, and a small price tag the Wetbox is a nice way to test out the bottom feed waters. For a seasoned bottom feed user you might want something of a heavier construction with more bells and whistles. As always thanks for reading
  5. Do you think you would need another set of slots a little higher to the top coil? and if so wouldnt that flood the bottom coil. Im glad to see a DIY on these though, I buy my own parts and make my own tanks but have recently lost interest in CE2s. I love dual coils on my regular ego batts, but they are a bit much for me on my infinity, I still prefer my boge cartos, so this would be perfect for them
  6. I hate to say I have spent a lot of time trying to find a vendor even close to the state and yes it seems altsmoke is the closest, though Im in Charleston the trip up the turnpike to VA is a lot longer drive due to the road. Gotta love WV hills. If you even manage to find any thing please let me know, Thanks
  7. Long time ECF member candy_93454 has made some of the most intense candy combonations I have ever vaped. These aren't single flavor, two flavor one even one off candy creations these are some truly complex mixes that leave you licking your lips and guessing what makes them so D@#N good. Vapealicious juices arent a new kid on the block either, a few lucky people have been sampling these DIY juices long before Vapealicious had a store. The mix of fresh fruits, candy fruits and unique candy flavors make these mouth watering flavors addictive. You have been warned. LOL. Today Im vaping my way through the whole 3ml bottle of Twig and Berries. I started early on this one and its driving me nuts. As usual Im using an ego battery, but Im using the new dual coil clear cartomisers, They make awesome vapor and have great flavor to them too. The juice is 24mg nic and here we go Flavor, first hit.Sweet and tart strawberry, mmmmmm. I dont do a lot of candy vapes but this may change my habits. Im getting a bit of pineapple that accounts for the tartness, but its putting me in mind of a candy flavor I know and love but for the life of me I cant figure it out.......I have a friend that has a candy store in the local mall. I have spent the last hour walking around his store vaping and tasting candy, I think I have finally found it....Strawberry Starburst Jelly Beans!!!!!!! The jelly beans are more tart and tangy that the candies but the match is really close to me. The pineapple is really subtle and blends into the flavor really well. The inhale is sweet like candy but the tartness of real pineapple comes in the aftertaste. The exhale is a fresh strawberry taste that is really accented by the smell of this juice. Im thinking that there is some gummie bear or bubble gum or cotton candy lurking in there some where but with all of these juices, its such a unique flavor its better to just enjoy it than drive yourself insane trying to figure it out. Throat hit, I get more tingle on the exhale, its not a throat hit but a smooth tingle on the exhale. Vapor production, its a little unfair with these dual coils, but its a solid vapor with just enough thickness to make the smell attract random co workers walk by and go "OH Whats that?" Aroma, As I have mentioned the aroma is a great strawberry almost incense smell most people seem to love it. Over all, if you cant tell I am in love with this vape, Im out and will have to order more after I finish the others, if i order it now I may never try anything else ever again. I loved vape heaven too but Im the guy that buys a bag of strawberry starburst from the candy store because they are so good they make the others taste like there not good enough I love almost anything strawberry and this is better than any candy I have tasted. thanks for reading
  8. I finally got a chance to sit down and got through my box of incoming vape goodness, and out came D's All day from vape a licious. They describe it as " Its a extreme rush of cool melon and berries that will leave you wanting more." Im using an eGo battery and my new fav, dual coil clear cartomisers. The juice is 24mg so lets give it a puff and see what weve got here Flavor, first hit.First thing I notice is a real melon taste, even that rind taste you get towards the bottom of a slice of water melon. This isnt like the candy flavors I have taste from them so far. A few more draws and the mint sets in, its not over powering like a menthol, its a nice cool mint. After the mint sets in and it starts to mix with the flavor. the berry starts to come out after the mint fades, and you get a nice strawberry juice taste with a melon after taste and a mint finish. I find it funny how some flavors show up in different orders depending on how strong they are and how they are mixed, and the mint more so to the end of this one makes it nice and refreshing. The exhale blends everything back together and makes for a nice smooth satisfying hit. Throat hit. The mint adds volumes to a weak hit, and it really is a nice tingle on the exhale Vapor production, again these dual coil ROOOOOLLLLLL but as I have tried a few liquids now and can gauge it a little better , this is a good vapor but nothing remarkable Aroma, watermelon rind, no two ways about it for me. Over all, its a nice change up, a fresh fruit blend with a mint that makes it really smooooth. Its a nice effect on the inhale and exhale. I wasnt wild about the flavor but once the mint set in it really made this a unique vape and a more analog like satisfaction, Its a nice vape that really works well as a change up from your usual run of the mil vapes. As always thanks for reading
  9. Dead bears, no not gruesome, a throw back to the psychedelic little icon that became famous from the grateful dead. They say "Beware the Bear !! Has a tendency to leave you wanting more." Im guessing from Candy's other candy concoctions that were in for another candy store treat . This was origionally a sample, now its made its way to the regular line up. That always lets you know that its a fan favorite. Im locked and loaded with an eGo battery and a fresh cartomiser, the juice is 24 mg nic, and Here we go Flavor, first draw, mmmmm melted gummie bears. Melted you may ask? yes once in college we had a bag of gummie bears that had melted in the car. Some how one got thrown against the wall and it stuck, so we bought a bag and melted them in a microwave and made a mural on the wall with Gummie Bears. Anyway, it taste like a bag of melted gummie bears, all the flavors mixing together in a nice fruity blend. In hale is a little weak on the flavor, but once you inhale into your throat the flavor makes your mouth water a little bit, the exhale gives you that feel of thick vapor and it disperses the flavor through your mouth again. I cant pick out individual flavors very well in this one, it is a nicely crafted flavor that way. I can taste organge some times, pinapple others but mostly its a solid gummie bear mix. Throat hit, its actually quite nice on the exhale it gives you that nice tingle, almost like a cold chill, and the fact that it dosnt hit till exhale takes you a little off guard, so its a nice surprise Vapor production, its a solid cloud, not like a VG of a big cloud but strong enough to let you know your taking a big hit or a little hit. Aroma, Its not a strong smell, it it a light fruity scent, but nothing thats going to hang with you for long Over all. I apologize for the side story but it was funny how unique that taste is. It just taste like a big bag of melted gummie bears. With the hit on the exhale and how the flavor hits your mouth again it reminds me of Kryptonite from goodejuice, that has a tobacco base. I dont know that dead bears has a tobacco base but its got a nice hit to the end of it. Thanks for reading http://www.vapealiciousjuice.com/
  10. There Gold in them there bottles! Well not gold but a golden juice that they say is " Indescribable but makes ya say yum-o- its vape-a-licious" With no clue what Im about to get it makes it more exciting. I can smell something sweeeeeet as I fill up a fresh cartomiser on an eGo battery. The juice is a 24mg as usual for me, and were ready to go on a Gold Rush Flavor, first hit. Georgia, Georgia. Sweet Georgia peaches. Its a really sweet nectar of a peach flavor. Im alcohol savant and this puts me in the mind of schnapps. A really sweet taste with a pucker and a hit at the end. It almost reminds me of hypnotic, or hypnotic mist with a much stronger peach taste and less after taste. The inhale is more of the sweet peach and the exhale gives me more of the schnapps taste. As with a lot of these vapealicious flavors its hard to tell what all is mixed in but the taste is great so Im not going to ask to many questions on this one either. Throat hit. Not a big hitter but is lets you know your vaping 24mg. Even with the strong fruit flavor you get a nice kick when you inhale into the throat and exhale. Not as hard as most tobacco flavors but a nice hit none the less. Vapor production. Solid vapor, not going to fill the room, but plenty strong enough to deliver good flavor and aroma Aroma, a fresh, almost under ripe peach scent. It only lingers for a little bit but its nice while it last Over all. Another winner in my book from Vape-a-licious. Its not the candy vape is a nice sweet peach with bite. Now if only I could mix it with Crown royal and cranberry we'd have ourselves a royal flush. Thanks for reading http://www.vapealiciousjuice.com/
  11. Time to kick this week off right, Vape-a-licious has some of the most complex juice I have ever tasted. Heres a little background on them from them "at Vapealicious we strive for perfection, taking care to custom blend each recipe until it has reached its gourmet status. All custom creations are blended with high quality ingredients and are bursting with flavor! We expect you will love them as much as we do!! It’s our goal to bring vapealicious juice at awesome prices." two things, Bursting dosnt even begin to cover it, second my order made it cross country in less than 48 hours. She is shipping these bottles out left and right. The store isnt up and running yet, but there is an ordering thread on ECF, Click the banner Now our subject for today is Vape Heaven. Thats an awfully big name for such a little bottle, they describe it as "A creation blended to carry you away. Vape heaven is just that pure tropical bliss" lets see what its got. As always a fresh cartomiser, an eGo battery, the juice is 24 mg nic and I dont have an exact vg/pg ratio but I would guess somewhere around 70/30. Flavor, first hit. YUM! Im getting a taste kind of like tigers blood but non menthol, thats a cherry and bloody orange taste, but the orange isnt as really there its more of a sweet not tart pineapple. Its really deep, as I keep puffing Im thinking bubble-icious. remember the cotton candy bubblelicious? that with cherry pineapple. I could be off on the fruit flavor but this has so much going on its hard to pick it all out. Im trying to figure out were they got tropical, so again I may be off a little on the fruit flavor, either way its addictive. You know its bad when all you can do is hit it and look at it. My poor little 3ml bottle is all gone already. Ive got about 1ml left in the carto and im sticking with cherry, cotton candy, bubble gum. it even sounds good and I still vaping it. I cant believe I havent tasted flavors like this. the inhale is like when you first chew a piece of soft bubble gum or cotton candy and it starts to disintegrate in your mouth and make your mouth water. You get the sweet fruity flavor that mixes very quickly to the cotton candy bubble gum taste. Exhale is still bursting with flavor. Even when you put it down (most likely because you are out) you can still taste it when you lick your lips. Throat hit, none to speak of really, this isnt a hitting kind of liquid, I imagine if it hit any more it would take away from the flavor and overall effect. But I have to be careful because it is 24mg, Ill vape myself sick if I dont watch out. Vapor production, good, solid vapor. Leaves a nice fog floating around the house. Aroma, If I could bear not to vape it I swear I would put it in a diffuser and make my house smell of it even more. It smells like childhood lol. Cotton candy bubble gum cherry or strawberry or watermelon or pineapple(whatever it is) it just smells great Overall, this is a great blend, never have I tasted such splendid, blended, vapealiciousness. I swear she stole Willy Wonka's Ompa lumpas and put them to work. This is such a great candy flavor once you try it you will be reordering shortly, its just that good. As always thanks for reading
  12. The full review and tear down is fairly long with pics, but you can view it here I started with the stock carts, but they tasted like a stale cigarette so I moving on to a few of my favorite liquids. just pull the tip off the cart and enjoy. The button placement is a little uncomfortable for me, as its on the bottom of the tube. Again this is a mechanical mod so there now switches, the button pushes against the battery, pushing it against the connection making contact and powering the atomizer. a lot of people prefer mechanical mods because there is not cheap circuitry or switched to break or corrode its just a simple button press. Its a gentle push, you can hear the atomizer sizzle. I have tried several methods for holding the mod to make the button a little more comfortable. I have had my hand broken a few times and my pinky and ring finger have limited movement, but it becomes like second nature after a few puffs. I recommend taking the battery out when your not using it so the switch doesn't get pushed in for too long and overheat the battery. Exploding batteries aren't fun. Im not going to get into unprotected vs protected batteries. Never use unprotected batteries in the HV thermo tube though, It is very unsafe, and protected batteries are a lot cheaper that medical bills. The atomizer rolls out a pretty steady vapor. Im getting really good production, the stock atomizer holds a good bit of liquid, and dripping last a little longer than on my 510 atomizers. I dont have any 801 supplies laying around the house to test on this mod but I think the stock setup speaks for itself. Great vapor production, good hit, full flavor, and a good dripping atomizer that dosnt leak unless you really flood it. Im using about 7-8 drops at a time. Battery life is pretty good. I have heard 10 hours, but Im getting about 8 solid hours of frequent vaping. Charging takes about an hour but its nice to get 2 batteries so you can switch them out with out having to worry about both of them going dead. They have a few different colors and styles, and the extra parts are pretty cheap too Conclusion, I haven't found another mod like this for under $50. and $29.99 is a great price for a simple mod that just works. Its nothing fancy but it vapes hard. Im going to have to check into some new 801 accessories for my new toy
  13. Give me a little background, who are Ares and Athena? the real people Wow, that's an open ended question. Neither one of us really knows how to answer it, but I'll tell you a little about us; Athena and I have been together about 5 years. We both love sports cars. Athena drives a Silver Toyota MR2 Spyder and I have a Black Toyota Supra Turbo. The company truck is a Black Ford Expedition. We both love animals. We've got two dogs, Akitas (Logan and Blaze), male and female, a cantankerous female calico cat named Newt, 3 chinchillas, 3 chickens and a 125 gallon saltwater reef fish tank. We grow some of our own food. Athena is a fantastic cook and a pretty amazing artist. She's very creative and I think this is why she can create such awesome tasting eliquid. I'm more analytical and business minded. I've got a background in computers and technology. tell me a little bit bout the company and what got you into the business. I smoked cigarettes for 27 years. In 2009 I started looking into ecigs, and like many people I got suckered into buying one of those small, overpriced under performing models with prefilled 'mystery nut juice' cartridges. I hated it. I spent a lot of time and money buying different models until finding one that I liked. After that I decided that there needed to be a company that helped spare people all of that trouble and that only sold "decent" ecigs -- Ares was born. Then I started wondering what was in this "stuff" that I was vaping. After finding that most juice was made in China and most people had no idea what was really in it, I started looking into making my own and the Ares USA made eliquid was born. Shortly thereafter, Athena got involved and I found she was better at making the flavors than I was. The first 10 or so flavors are mine, after that, the other 60+ juices are her creations. What is an average day like at ares ecig? We check the new orders, verify everything is in stock, make juice, pack and ship the orders. We try to get everything out within 24-36 hours of the order being placed. We return customer phone calls and emails. If we have inbound shipments we restock inventory and verify the website has the correct product counts. (We stock everything we sell, no drop shipping here.) The rest of the time we spend in the juice lab tinkering with flavors or testing new hardware. We're up to 77 right now. After the VapersPlace giveaway is done, we'll be releasing a bunch more. We also use everything we sell, and I personally use every new ecig model for at least 2 - 3 weeks before we're willing to post them for sale on the website. How do you create new flavors and how do you decide if they make the final cut? It's a lot of experimentation. I don't even want to think about how much liquid we've destroyed because it just wasn't good enough. The final cut, that's really subjective. Both Athena and I test vape everything over the course of a couple of days, if we both agree that it's something we'd buy ourselves, we'll put it up on the site. We also get suggestions from customers for new flavors, and if we make a liquid that they suggest and wind up listing it on the site, we send them a 30ml bottle of it free of charge as a "thank you". What has Ares built their reputation on? Quality eliquid and customer service. We're not looking to make a quick buck, we want long term relationships with our customers. If a customer isn't happy, they aren't coming back. We do everything we can to make sure our customers get good value for their money and walk away happy. Almost all of our customers are repeat customers, and many of our referrals are via word of mouth. I think that says a lot. Any thing new in the works we can look forward to? Lots of new flavors for now. We'll be coming out with the options for 50/50 PG/VG and VG only juice on most of our flavors soon as well. We're also looking into opening a retail store and manufacturing our own line of ecigs made here in the US, but that's a ways down the road. The business is 100% self funded and we have no investors or debt load. We want to keep it that way. It allows us to maintain our standards without competing outside influences. What are your best sellers and personal favorites? Sweet Tobacco is our best seller by far followed by Black Cherry, French Vanilla and Peach. Kevin-UP and Key Lime Pie are both quickly moving up and will probably both be best sellers very soon. Personally I vape Sweet Tobacco @ 24mg every day and Athena loves the Key Lime Pie @ 0mg. You are the first vendor I get to ask this and Im so excited. give us your take on the recent FDA regulation developments and how you feel it will help or hurt the industry and your company personally We're "cautiously optimistic". It's great that they finally have let go of the foolish attempts to regulate this as a drug. That's a win. But I'm worried about what regulations and taxes they will push down. No sales to minors, no nic strengths over 36mg/ml, quality standards, those are regulations I think are great. But I'm worried about how much they will drive up the prices via new taxes, or how onerous the regulations will be. I guess we'll have to wait and see. It's still a step in the right direction. Any thing else you would like to mention or tell everyone about Ares? We really do care what goes into our juice. Our base liquids are USP grade made in the USA. We use natural flavors 99% of the time. (Some flavors you just can't go natural with, like butter. Natural butter contains dicetyl and it's dangerous to vape, so we use an artificial butter flavoring. Our juice is dicetyl free). We hand craft this liquid and consistency and quality are our primary goals. We even use bottles made in the US. We've also recently opened a wholesale division with some pretty aggressive discounts so other vendors can have a reliable quality source for US made eliquid. Last question, why should I buy from Ares ecig? We'll treat you right. We'll sell you a hand crafted top quality elquid for a reasonable price. We're not in business to compete with cheap juice from overseas. Ask around, talk to our existing customers. I suspect you'll be hard pressed to find an unhappy one. We treat people the way we want to be treated. If you ever have a problem with something we've sold you, let us know and we'll make it right. I won't say the customer is always right, but the customer is always the customer and deserves to be treated well. Vaporchaser aresecig.com
  14. You know the drill." and if you havent heard, ARES is doing a giveaway over at The Vapors Place the winner gets 1, 10ml bottle of each of there 77 flavors + a Riva kit. Thats 770ml of juice and a Riva kit!!! here at VaporChaser we will be going through 5 flavors from ARES to give the low down on these juices and on Saturday well have an Interview with ARES to give you a peek inside what makes these juices worthy of the gods. Today, Apple Menthol Tobacco. ARES describes it as "We took the unique taste of our sweet tobacco, added the tastes of a fresh green apple and combined it with in infusion of pure menthol crystals. A very interesting and refreshing vape." Sounds great. Some flavors dont really mix with menthol, but crisp apple and menthol is a great combination to me. This is the first tobacco of theirs I have tried, so lets give it a try. Fresh cartomiser and an ego battery as always, 24mg nic and 70/30 PG/VG. Here we go. Flavor , first draw.Sweet and cool. I taste fresh fried apples or apple butter. If you have never had either imagine fresh apples fried with cider and instead of the usual cinnomon, menthol. Im pretty sure that dark sweet tobacco is what is giving me the apple butter effect. Its not too sweet but it is AWESOME with apple. On the inhale the menthol is the strongest of the flavors, then the sweet tobacco and apple hit your throat at the same time, and the exhale is completely different from the inhale. Its sweet apple tobacco. this is a dark tobacco but of the three it is the weakest flavor, It gives the apple a sweet smokey flavor but its more of a supporting flavor, its not going to over power or over shadow the apple taste. Throat hit, While this is a tobacco its not a throat killer. It gave me that nice warm relaxing hit I love so much but it wasnt harsh hit. Nice and smooth just like the flavor. Vapor production, Nice strong vapor. On par with the rest of the ARES juices Ive tried, good vapor, but no fog machine. Aroma, its strange to smell that sweet apple with menthol. Its not bad at all just different Overall, of the hardest types of flavors to mix, fruit and menthol, easy. Fruit and tobacco, not that hard. Fruit, tobacco, and menthol, Tricky. I think that is why I like this flavor so much. I can really appreciate how much time they spent to get this one just right. They succeeded beautifully. Thanks for reading Check out ARES for more great flavors
  15. To start if you didnt know ARES is doing a giveaway over at The Vapors Place the winner gets 1, 10ml bottle of each of there 77 flavors + a Riva kit. Thats 770ml of juice and a Riva kit!!! here at VaporChaser we will be going through 5 flavors from ARES to give the low down on these juices and on Saturday well have an Interview with ARES to give you a peek inside what makes these juices worthy of the gods "Named after pretty the lady who discovered it for us, Rachelberry is simply a 50/50 mix of our Watermelon and Strawberry juices." I couldnt resist this one, and with my recent experience with their other juices, I cant wait to try this one. Im using a fresh carto and an eGo battery. The juice is 24mg nic and 70/30 pg/vg Flavor, first draw. Fresh, but my mouth is so confused. Im getting fresh strawberry on the tip of my tongue, but the watery feel of watermelon fills your mouth then a strawberry after taste with just a bit of the watermelon hiding behind it. This isnt a strawberry flavoring taste, its not the candy flavor or the baked strawberry filling flavor, its fresh strawberry. The watermelon makes your mouth water and has that clean watery taste of watermelon. I know the new big kick in e liquids seems to be organic, but I cant say enough for how real these flavors taste. its like biting onto a strawberry thats filled with watermelon, as I said the mix confuses your mouth with the strawberry water melon strawberry change up. Really Awesome! Throat hit, very subtle if any. its a 24mg juice but the TH isnt really what Im looking for in a fruit blend, its got the nic tingle but not what Id call HIT. Vapor production, a strong vapor but again not clouds. It delivers flavor on inhale and exhale and unless you just like to see vapor lingering and filling the room, all you care about is the quality rather than the quantity. Quality is excellent. Aroma, Every one at the office has stopped and ask what this one was, Its got a really good scent to follow a great flavor Over all another one out of the park for ARES, If you on the new organic kick, remember Ares. The flavors are so realistic, its really refreshing to vape on a real strawberry, or a real watermelon. I wish I could mix this in a pitcher of margaritas, its really that fresh cut fruit taste. Like strawberry?, watermelon? fruit? Get a bottle and be happy. Ares Ecig
  16. The full review is pretty long with pics, but you can view the whole thing here They arrived in an old eGo atomizer box with not notice and no instructions. All I had to go on was their poorly translated website. " Instrution: 1.Install the concave type atomizer to the battery. 2.Open the tube cap then squeeze the e-solid(like using toothpaste)into atomizer properly(recommend 0.1g, just one soybean) to the bottom of atomizer 3.Then,fasten down the empty cartridge and smoking. Because the procedure for e-solid—liquid—vapor need some time, so try to not smoke sharply first, please wait for 2-3 seconds. Remarks: A.The atomizer should be concave type, the battery capacity is bigger than liquid e-cigs Suitable type is:510, EGO,TGO etc manual type. B.E-solid should reach to atomizer bottom, but do not cover the whole atomizer, especially avoid the centre of nickel heater. It should be proper quantity." It sounded easy enough so I gave it a try. I left one side uncovered as I had read in the one other review I could find. Now Im going to try and give it a puff. Nothing. Burnt atomizer. I took a toothpick and poked some of the gel down into the atomizer. I was getting a little bit of the flavor, Its the same nasty tobacco I remember starting out with years ago before I knew that all e liquid didnt taste like crap, and with a flavor that already taste terrible its hard to tell when your hitting dry atty. Im having a nightmare of a time keeping the wick wet. Im thinking the chunkiness is accounting for the fact that once it gets hot its a nice liquid. Every so often I get to a chunk and it goes dry on me till I puff really hard into the mouth piece till it fills the gap again. Finally i filled it full and cut off the air flow, and pulled on it till it pulled some through and started wicking. I have been puffing on this for quite a while and its showing no signs of wear, as in the gel packed inside looks almost as full as when I filled it about 4 hours ago. read more
  17. Im loving the smell of this one as Im filling the cartomiser, as always a fresh one on an eGo battery, the juice is 24mg nic, and 70/30 PG/VG. here we go Flavor, first draw, Wow, citrus rush, really smooth, not too sweet.Im not sure how they replicate the "soda" taste but its got BITE. The description Ares uses is really correct, the flavors are really crisp and clean. I get straight lemon on the tip of my tongue, lime toward the back of my mouth, and that sweet soda bite by the time it hits the back of my throat. the exhale is just like its name sake, no not Kevin, the seven up part. But I cant rave enough how clean this is. The flavors are PURE, its almost an organic taste as you can almost taste the citric acid. The liquid is clear and clean just like the flavor. Most lemon lime flavors are sweet a syrupy, but this has a citrus bite. Most sodas taste like flat soda or syrup, this one POPS because its still crisp but sweet as it leaves your mouth. really great job reproducing the effect of the flavor and not just the taste. Not many juices in the industry can do that.read more

I started preparing for this week by playing countless hours of God of War on my ps3. Than and a new order of fresh cartos appeared in my mail box, begging to soak up a few ARES liquids. Im starting with Smores, 24 mg 70/30 pg/vg in a fresh cartomiser with an eGo battery. But for now the wick is wet and the battery is fresh, so lets get started Flavor, first hit. Creamy, almost a banana flavor. maybe I just had banana on my mind because that faded fast, now Im getting a really smokey marshmallow. The campfire taste is very nice, as I keep vaping Im picking up the graham cracker really well. I taste the marshmallow really smokey then sweet on the inhale, then the graham cracker is all I taste by the time in inhale it into my throat. The exhale is more blended and creamy, with less smoke and more sweet. it think it finishes even better than it starts. But wheres the chocolate? Now that Im trying to to taste it I can pick out a little on the inhale but I would never be able to tell you it was a smore if I didnt know what I was vaping. The chocolate is pretty vague, but the vape is awesome either...read more...
  19. Not much originality to it, but I happened to get some new tank parts in and I had them setting out new to my new Vortex cartomisers. The idea had to happen sooner or later, so I made what I think Ill call Tornado Tanks. Its a very simple, tried and true method. I took two rubber grommets, a mouth piece off of a regular cartomiser, the left over tube of a metal ce2, (though I could have cut the stock plastic one, I think it would look really nice with all clear parts).Parts used and more pics here
  20. Step by step pictures, with the guide below HERE Yesterday I posted my initial review of the gotvapes Vortex cartomiser. I liked a lot of things about it but in the end it didnt stay wet enough for me. But in all fairness, I hate stock clearomisers, I hate most stock CE2 anything. They have historically not wicked well enough. But again in all fairness I love my clearomisers after a couple tiny modifications. So today Im going to tear apart a couple Vortexes and figure out what makes them work. Now the first thing is getting the outer tube off, there is a glue or epoxy inside of the tube, So I found the best way for me is to hook it to a battery for better grip and to hold the bottom of the tube while wiggling it back in forth in different directions Once the glue starts to break loose you can pull off the outer tube, and pull the cup and inner tube out. I havent found a way to do this with out ruining the foam filler around the cup, but for this adjustment you wont need it anyway. Now you have three parts, the bottom coil/battery connector, the outer tube, and the inner tube/cup. The first thing I did, (do this at your own risk, just because I prefer it this way doesn't mean you will) was tear off the white filler around the cup. Then I took a scalpel and scraped off most of the glue. The glue was actually around the base of the notch . I did not make any cuts to the groove in the cup, i only scraped off the glue that was also on the tip of the wick on this particular cartomiser. So I took a small knitting hook and fanned out, or fluffed the ce2 in the coil. It was packed in there so tight Im not surprised it couldn't wick. I also spread the coil out, as you can see its all bunched to one side. Space it evenly across the wick and it will preform a LOT better. Simply ripping off the filer did not give me the best performance Now its a reassembly project, cup back over the coil and the outer tube back on as well. Make sure the wick is over both channels on the sides of the battery connector. Ive ran through about 2ml in 2 vortexes so far and I havent had a leaking issue. There is a little condensation inside the cup, but it isnt enough to cause a problem as long as you clean it out after each fill. I know Im being really in depth with something as simple, as "take out the white filler" but I wanted everyone to see what I was seeing. After this change I still had to let them soak in pretty well before starting to use them. One big plus so far with these is they seem a lot harder to burn, as soon as you start tot taste a difference in the liquid, STOP, let it wick a little more. Once it gets started and is wicking nicely, it seems to stay saturated. This little change has made all the difference in the world to me. I am now getting the pure flavor of the liquid. Just like my clearomisers, all it took was a little more juice. The shorter wick may not hold up as well as the longer ones, but well have to wait and see, but for now let me revise my pros and cons based on this minor modification PROS -Easy to fill, the simplest piece of equipment you will ever find to fill -Flavor was great, -Vapor production was good across the board -Extremely quick and easy to clean and reuse, easier than my beloved tanks -Sturdy construction, a little bit thicker that the regular clear rubes -No leaks, This was one of my biggest worries, but even the condensation only left a drop at the bottom of the connection. I even had it in my pocket half of the day, but watch the mouth piece it can fall off easy in a pocket CONS - Some modification required -mouth piece gets really loose if you get juice on it Conclusion, it just needed a little tear down to get it wicking right. I also noticed that the second fill always wicks better than the first. They are so easy to fill and clean, but the shorter wick does seem to equal shorter life. But so far Im happy, now if they lowered the price just a bit I would be more than happy to replace these on a regular basis just because of the ease of use.
  21. Backwoods Brew knows they have a winner on their hands with this one, "Applewood Tobacco is a Backwoods Brew exclusive. It is one of our most popular and original blends. It is a top shelf full flavor tobacco with a slightly sweet and crisp finish. It is one of our biggest sellers. It's that all day vape that you have been searching for. You will love this one." With my pervious experience with BWB......everything they said sounds about right. I have steeped this one for a couple months. Always steep any tobacco from BWB it will completely change in a couple weeks. The juice is 70/30 pg/vg and 24mg, Im using a fresh cartomiser and an eGo battery, lets give it a puff Flavor, first draw. I can taste the wood notes in the flavor, not too strong but really easy to pick out. The apple is crisp and fresh, not a cider style apple. They show red apple in the pic and this taste like a granny smith or a Washington apple, very fresh tasting. After a few puffs I really get that flue cured woodsy tobacco on the inhale and a nice crisp apple flavor towards the end. The exhale is like pure apple juice if it were ash barreled like whiskey. I usually go through about a 1ml during an entire review, I vape, write, vape, write, but I had to stop and enjoy this one for a second and Im already through 1ml, i have to refill.... Yep, still good, I love these signature tobaccos, I really cant compare them to any other vendor. If you told me Don at BWB grew his own tobacco and made the extracts himself I would believe you.read more...
  22. I finally got one apart, I fanned out the wick. I was packed in there so tight it wasnt getting anything. Im tinkering with *** now trying to get some more liquid to the wick
  23. The full review is very detailed and pretty long, you can read it and see the pictures here PROS -Easy to fill, the simplest piece of equipment you will ever find to fill -Flavor was great when the wick was wet -Vapor production was good across the board -Extremely quick and easy to clean and reuse, easier than my beloved tanks -Sturdy construction, read the cons and youll see what I mean -No leaks, This was one of my biggest worries, but even the condensation only left a drop at the bottom of the connection. I even had it in my pocket half of the day CONS -Chain vaping leaves me reminded of the problem I have with the eGo tanks, no flavor -This is less of a con for most and more of a personal gripe for me. I have tried to take one of these apart and managed to break it. The cup splintered on me after I tried for 30 minuets to pry it out gently, I pulled till it broke with a pair of pliers. I was already thinking tank mod, but I think my imagination got the better of my logic on that idea. I hate stock clearomiser, I cut them with a scalpel so I can notch out just enough to get better wicking but not flood. I cant change how well I want these to wick
  24. Flavor, first hit. OHHH,It hits hard. You dont have to read their site to know this is their Maxborro (thought it has been renamed Bacco) It has that light analog taste, and being steeped really brings it out, when I first got it, it was all watermelon, no tobacco. Now its a whole different story. Usually the first hit is strong and then your mouth gets used to the flavor it backs off, but with this its a sweet analog flavor then the melon hits the back of our tongue. The exhale is sweet but satisfying cigarette taste hangs with you. I gave up looking for that cigarette taste once I quit smoking, I had been vaping for a while and tried smoking a cig, and it just tasted terrible. if I would have found this first off I think I would have stop looking all together. It does taste like a watermelon cigarette. The melon is sweet and tangy and the tobacco is a lite but strong flavor. read more
  25. For those of you who aren't familiar with Stormy, aka, Cloudburst from ECF, she makes some of the simplest, most user friendly, inexpensive tanks around. She started selling on the forum, and now shes expanded into her own site. Her storm tanks, mini storm tanks, and clear tube mods are really easy to assemble. They are made from affordable and very particle parts, carefully constructed, and accompanied by excellent customer service. Stormy's response time is second to none, and she has a wealth of followers on the forum that will even help you figure out any issues you may have. Let me preface this with the fact that I have ran nothing through this but dark thick VG and it hits like a champ. Unlike most tanks that reuse the stock rubber CE2 rubber cap, the mouth tip lets the user adjust the flow manually. The old caps were notorious for keeping the wick dry and cutting off the juice flow, leaving you with burnt wick, I usually cut mine. But with the tip its fully adjustable to how you want it. You can push it up or down to adjust the flow of each fill and each juice. The tank it sturdy, I thought I had to have broken it a few time, I dropped it, stepped on it, threw in in my desk drawer, and it never leaked out. I had the cap a little too loose and had to blow out the excess as Stormy warned me but other that that little drip no leaking. Its a TANK, it held up really well, and didnt shatter or splinter like clearomiser. read full article with pics and rebuild tutorial
