  1. Birddog beat me to it. Sometimes Swype isn't fast enough... Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using Tapatalk
  2. PG is propylene glycol. VG is vegetable glycerine. PG tends to hold flavor a little better and give more throat hit. VG tends to produce more vapor with less throat hit. Everyone has their own preferences, but it's fairly common to see blends of the two. I prefer 80% PG 20% VG. I hope this helps. Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using Tapatalk
  3. That's the one. Didn't know Art was involved in that. I will try to spread money I had for him to other suppliers that are trusted in the VT community. Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using Tapatalk
  4. The RY4 I'm partial to is the Wicked Vapor USA mix from ######. It's very affordable and very tasty. Not sure why the supplier was edited.
  5. Great. I feel bad because I actually placed an order from him. It was only the eGo carrying case, but I still don't like to give my business to anyone doing false advertising. I'm glad I saw this. The shipping was great and the case I got works just fine. I was going to kick him a little more money here and there, but I will save that for the VTstore and other reputable suppliers.
  6. Welcome to VT. I haven't been a non-smoker that long, but I vouch for the eGo. Before the eGo, I wanted to to look more stylish and have a device that was about the size of a real cig. I went with Blu and hated it. 4 different prefilled cartomizers to choose from and I didn't care for the flavor of any of them. I didn't want the hassle of filling my own cartridges. I didn't want to spend time learning 'dripping', mixing flavors, DIY juice, or all the other fancy terms that are foreign to a non-vaper. However I wanted to quit smoking more than all of the other 'not wants'. I gave it up after a week seeing the short battery life, weak throat hit, feeling like it was doing virtually nothing for my cravings of cigs. I got the eGo and didn't look back. Refilling cartridges is easy. Choosing and mixing flavors is great. I thought I would only like cartos, but I'm one of the few on here that doesn't like them. There are youtube videos for anything you want to try. There are the forums for any questions that you might have. If you really want to quit smoking and not waste any money on a stepping-stone type product, get a 510 or an eGo. Good luck to you and welcome to the community.
  7. Way to go Amy. Hang in there and you're doing great. The first couple weeks are the hardest Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using Tapatalk
  8. Thank you all for your words of encouragement. It was so nice to say goodbye to the analogs tonight. It reminded me of break-up sex. Part of me enjoyed it, the rest of me hated myself for it. And now in the end I know I'm better off. The last 2 draws had me wondering if I really wanted to give it up. I then loaded up the new juice I got in the mail today (Pina Colada 24 mg from ) and dripped my way into sheer bliss. No looking back for me. I'm glad I found this forum and read about how vaping has changed all of your lives in a very positive way. After reading the suggestions in this thread I decided to keep the last one as a trophy. I took a felt tip pen and marked the date down the side. Then on the other side I wrote "VAPE". Now if I'm staring it down in temptation I can roll it over and remind myself where I need to go. I feel good and don't think I'll be falling off the wagon. Thank you again to all of you for showing your support!
  9. Cone on for me, but I loosen it about 1/2 turn to get the perfect draw. Sometimes more if the holes on the atty aren't quite lining up with the notches on the battery.
  10. Well I started vaping earlier this month and I've been weaning off of analogs. The hardest part for me was the first thing in the morning smoke. I HATED the cig that I had this morning. I have 2 cigs left in my pack that I bought on Sunday (not bad for a pack a day smoker). Tonight I'm going to smoke one KNOWING it's the last one I'm going to smoke and going to throw the final cigarette away. I've been planning on quitting for months. Now that I found a juice flavor and strength that work for me, I know I can do this. I'm already feeling better since I've cut back so much. And I'm looking forward to not needing to run out to a gas station or grocery store to pick up smokes. My soon to be wife enjoys kissing me more too. Hopefully it's not long before my asthma starts letting up some. Everything seems like it's going to be great from here on out.
  11. Welcome to the forums. I'm not a huge fan of cartomizers, but they have their place. Usually I drip, but for driving and such I prefer to fill my carts with the aftermarket blue foam. That stuff holds a lot of juice and wicks better than the white junk that's preloaded. Once I get to the office, I start dripping away. You made a good choice with the eGo. Don't worry about getting everything up front. You can find upgrade parts all over. Just make sure you have at least 1 extra of everything. Some sites sell atomizers in bulk so you can stock up pretty efficiently. A good juice to start with (since you're a smoker) is RY4. It's a tobacco flavor, but it's got a sweet finish to it. It's not candy sweet. Good luck on your purchase and welcome to the community!
  12. Atomizers can last a week, a month, even 6 months. Sometimes they're easy to get DOA. A lot of it depends on if you're dripping, how heavy you drip, or if using a cartridge, how dry you run the cartridge. You can buy cartomizers for the 510 which has the cartridge and atomizer together. Many people swear by them. You can refill those and the life on them varies. If they're working out of the box, usually I can get 3-4 good refills out of them. Some have gone much longer, some die off right around 4 or 5. Cartomizers have cheaper atomizers because they're pretty disposable units and you can't do much to give them a good cleaning. But on the plus side, if an cartomizer goes out, you usually have another one nearby ready to go. Hope this helps.
  13. Welcome to the forums. One of my co-workers has the Smoke51 unit and it's pretty impressive for a cig sized automatic battery. I recently got my ego and I'm huge into experimenting and trying new things. If you buy a bottle of your favorite smoke juice you can easily refill the Smoke51 carts. The atomizer goes down into the cart far enough to make contact with the fiber filler so you won't be able to use a standard 510 atty with those carts. To refill use the end of a paper clip and stick it in the hole of the cap on the mouthpiece. Pry that off and remove the little fiber filter (set that aside). Push the paperclip into the little hole behind the filter to push out the cartridge filler. Drip a few drops of juice in there until the fiber looks wet, but not a puddle. Push the filler back into the cart, replace the filter on the other side and put the cap back on. You're ready to reuse your cartridge. If you upgrade to a 510 or eGo unit, the smoke51 atomizers will work on that. So you can keep any spares to use the atomizer and carts on an eGo. Hope this helps you and welcome to the awesome world of vaping.
  14. If you still have blu cartos, give them a shot with the ego battery. The atomizer gets hotter than with the blu battery and the flavor is stronger.
  15. Good news. I got my eGo in the mail and I love it. I vaped all night off of the partial charge it came with in the box. The blu cartos work great with the eGo battery. Much more th than with the blu battery. Cartos are easy to refill too. I'm planning on having my final analog this week. Thanks for the replies!
  16. I started out with the Blu starter kit last week and I like it, but the battery life is a joke. Nothing at all what they had claimed. So I've done my homework and going with the eGo. Along the way I've noticed several people use the Blu batteries with 510 attys in a pinch. This being said can I use the eGo battery with the Blu cartos without damaging the battery? I'm sending back the starter kit and they will not refund the cartos. The cartos seem easy enough to refill as well so I want to put them to use as much as possible. I don't care if I burn out the atomizer in the cart, just don't want to damage the battery.
