  1. The tanks doesn't seem to wick the juice to the atty very well for me. The flavor is there, but not as vivid as it should be. Especially since it eats up so much juice, you'd think the atty would be damn near flooded. The drag is also a little too stiff for me. I have found that I have to take a serious long drag to get decent flavor and vapor. I am wanting to start direct dripping but I do have a question about it: I know LR atty's are best, but would just buying a standard 510 atty and drip tip be that much better than the tank? The reason I ask is because I am kind of hesitant on getting an LR 510 until I can afford to get the mega eGo battery with it, because I heard the LR atty's can drain the standard eGo batteries pretty quick, and I am a pretty busy guy, so I need my battery life!! But I also don't want to WASTE money on getting a standard 510 if it's not going to surpass anything that I am currently getting with the tank.
  2. what about the ego tank atty? can you take out the wick on those?
  3. i would just say screw it all and get a tekk mod, but I can't afford $120
  4. the only reason I would go with cartridges if I want to use a drip tip is that way I don't have to keep changing stuff out. For example if I am using carts, I just pop it off and pop the drip tip on. if I were using cartos, I would have to unscrew the carto, screw on an atty THEN pop on the drip tip. Is this correct or am I forgetting something? (not being sarcastic, I am being serious, cause I am fairly new at vaping). I would like to check out the mega carts but I read and watched some reviews on them, and they all got fairly good reviews, but they all said the same thing, and that was that since they hold so much juice, the juice has a lot of weight to it.....so, gravity takes place, and all the juice starts seeping down towards the bottom of the cartridge, eventually resulting in a flooded atomizer. But anyways I think I fixed my burnt taste problem (crossing fingers). I the atty in alcohol, ran the alcohol through it some, then hot water rinse, and let it dry 24 hours. I still got a SLIGHT burnt taste, so I took a paper clip and pushed the wick down through the spike just a little. No more burnt taste for about 2 days so far.
  5. well, the 50/50 I had actually worked better in my tank than the 60/40. the 50/50 was the high caliber "BOSS" Polar Ice from electronicstix.com. The 60/40 I am using now is re(4)nu menthol with double shot flavor and 24mg nic from vapor renu. So what you are saying is if I want to continue to use my tank then the best bet would be using 80/20 juice. BUT, if I wanted something higher than that, I could just buy a 510 atty and 510 cartridges? I think I might do that at some point, and then get a 510 sized drip tip also and just use the carts for when I am going out. But until then I think I will just get some 80/20 juice and see how that works.
  6. oh, and is it normal for the juice to leak out of the atty and onto the battery?
  7. the 50/50 blend was thin and light blue in color, sorry. and my current 60/40 is fairly thick and brown in color.....hope that helps
  8. i have the ego tank atomizer, is it safe to boil those? my juice is also a 60/40 blend.I had some 50/50 bland before I bought the 60/40 blend. it was quite thin and light blue in color and worked pefect through the duration of the liquid. I tried the new liquid and it worked for a day and half then burnt taste. then I also tried the second atty the kit came with and burnt taste after only a few puffs.....maybe it is the juice. I tried soaking in alcohol then rinsing with hot water and letting it dry all day, but then just got a burnt taste after a few puffs.
  9. well I recently bought a ego tank. I purchased some new e-juice (re(4)nu menthol) from vapor renu. it was working perfectly for a day and a half. but then I started getting a harsh burnt taste. the taste goes away if a drip a couple of drops directly on the spike that pierces the tank. But it only lasts about 5 or 6 puffs then right back to burnt taste. I need to know if there is a way to fix this.
  10. Well, I returned my blu a couple of days ago. Haven't got my money back yet, but I went to Vapor Galaxy and ordered the eGo tank, late last night. It has already been shipped and the ETA is Monday. I also went to Vapor Renu and ordered a 30ml bottle of re(4)nu Menthol, which is supposed to be Vapor Renu's version of the RY4, with menthol. Got a double flavor shot, 24mg nic, medium throat hit, and 60/40 blend (60% PG/40% VG). So I am looking forward to receiving everything, and getting my money back from blu! Thanks for everyone's advice and I will be back on here when I receive all the products to do a review of the ego-t and the juice I purchased! Special thanks to the VT administrator for supplying me with the coupon code for Vapor Galaxy! Saved me nearly $7 on my purchase!
  11. well I appreciate everyone's great advice! After taking in the advice given on here, and doing more research of my own, I am going to go with the eGo. I will get either the standard or the tank system. Probably the standard just to try it out, since I can just buy the atty and the tanks when I'm ready (the eGo's all being interchangeable is genius to me!). But first thing's first, I have to return my blu in through the mail to get my money back since I am still under my 30 day money back guarantee (we'll see well how that goes). Then, use that money to buy my eGo. Once I receive it and try it out for a day or two, I will come back and let ya'll know what I think about it! Thank you again for the advice!!!
  12. What's the difference between the standard eGo and the eGo T Tanks?
  13. would this be sufficient? eGo
  14. I purchased a blu cig, not knowing much about e-cigs. Battery life sucks, vapor is decent, flavor is good but faint, virtually no throat hit just a little itch or "tickle" on the EXHALE, but all the good things about blu are inconsistent. I am wanting to use e-cigs to try to quit smoking, so the appearance is some what important but not a priority. I am a pack a day smoker, so throat hit and battery life to me is most important. 2nd would be vapor production. 3rd would be flavor ( but I am not sure if the device has anything to do with how strong or vivid the flavor is, or if that's just dependent of the juice itself ), and lastly being appearance. I don't want anything TOO tiny ( because of battery life ), but I also don't want to look and feel like I am smoking a bong either, and also because of convenience of travel a transportation. So what do you all think would be the optimal e-cig for me?
