  1. I did see the same video about the darker juices and like you I am still quite the noob with only a few weeks of vaping under my belt.

Right now I have six juices (actually not that bad a collection I guess) and my two darkest juices are my colada from the VT store and fmy French vanilla from vaperite (Yum might I add) both of which I would say are no darker than say a Sam Adams beer. Both have vaped perfectly fine with the tank.

Not entirely sure if that helps but that's all I have to offer!

  2. As far as the battery, I have the standard and I am getting a solid day out of it as well. I have been averaging about a tank and a half, to two tanks a day all on the same battery so I think the standard is just fine.

Given I am only on my fifth day with it I can not speak to atty life - other than to say I am on the one atty all five days with no problems and have just blown it out 2 times and its working like a champ.

  3. You're in luck - I just refilled the tank. I didn't fill to the max (somewhat better results if don't fill it to max capacity), but close and got 25 drops in the tank. That was with a 50/50 PG/VG liquid.

I can honestly say I haven't counted that out before since I just pop the cap off, and squeeze the bottle - takes about 2 seconds to fill it.

  4. I thought it was funny

Always happy to provide some humor.

For what its worth as well and I know I am beginning to sound like a shrill - for a beginner I think the tank atomizer and system is just a great option - for the first week I was dealing with carto's and attempting dripping and had mixed but successful results - I received my tank cartridges and atty this past saturday morning and I can not tell you how much I am enjoying it for ease and consistency of use.

You might want to look into the eGO tank system, its a beginners friend for sure.

  5. I have had my eGO for just about a week now and with the standard attys that came with it I had no luck with dripping.

For what its worth, I got my eGO-T atty with the tanks yesterday and I am loving this system, its so simple, and consistent. You might want to consider it.

  6. I ordered my eGo starter kit here at the yap or talk store and added a five pack of blank 510 cartomizers. I have now added the sgo-t tank and think I will going that route for the foreseeable future !

Wow didnt see the autocorrect on my ipad changing Vapor talk store to yap or...sorry

  7. Well my tank system arrived this morning. Got it from Todd at Vaperite along with a 100%VG and a 50/50 French Vanilla (boy I am shocked at the flavors I am trying).

Filled a tank with the Key lime, set it up and tried it out. Wow first of all the flavor is great but the tank system really works well. As I am very new to all this I was thinking in the first week that I am going to get tired of filling cartos and so far seem to be direct drip challenged.

I can see the convenience and ease of the tank working very very well. Assuming all the parts hold up for a reasonable period I can see this being my primary method for some time to come.

So to sum it up

  8. It seems like everything I have seen and now confirmed in the previous posts it is an E9 - is and E9 the same as KR808D-1 ?!? I have no idea but I would be shocked.

Its my belief the E9 is meant to keep you bound to their products.

  9. Yeah it was fairly unpleasant which actually was good positive reinforcement !

I have the windows down in the garage for the night but will do a full interior cleaning this weekend, some leather cleaner and conditioner should go along way!

  10. If I'm not mistaken, the GreenSmoke is an E9 model, same as the red dragon.

Yes it is an E9 - thats correct.

For now, I'm sticking with Green Smoke. I like them. Day 3, no real cigarettes! I'm feeling better today about it. I don't have any complaints about Green Smoke. They have plenty of vapor and taste fine, once you get used to it. I like the ease of use. Maybe the price is a little higher, but hey, I'm not smoking and I cant put a price on that. I am going to try some flavors from the VT Store and maybe get a passthru for when I'm at work. I'm gonna find me a pretty little jewelry box to store everything in (I'm not liking the tackle box idea). The whole idea is to quit smoking, for me, not start a new hobby. I definitely don't want this whole set up to take up more space that my carton of cigarettes did.

Whatever it takes is correct. I am on day 3 as well and going well - I did the GS for about 2 weeks but was still having a smoke or 5 or day so it wasn't enough. I needed something just a bit more, and the ego has fit the bill on that. I use both depending on which mood I am in.

I suspect I will make more of a hobby of this than you, but isnt that what its all about, what ever you want it to be as long as its not analogs.

On a side note, had to run out today for bit (I mostly work at home) and got in my car and whew - it stinks, yep I smoked in the car. I think I will be doing some car interior cleaning today. Amazing how three little days effects how your senses work!

  11. While I know its WAY to early for me to give up on any flavors at this point - heck I most likly have no idea what they taste like yet :rolleyes2: .

So just curious over time, do you ever find yourself juice swapping with others - I saw that on some other forum I was poking around in were they had a favor exchange just wondering if any of you have tried swapping flavors with others that just didnt work out for you?

  12. Well those are great ideas - I knew y'all have this figured out. Right now its easy enough since I only have four flavors and four cartos, but I know this will become more challenging as the collection expands.

    Thanks.

  13. Okay I will add on to the noob questions of the carto's. I am having the most luck with them getting started - it seems like a great beginner method - but also has a good deal of other applications. That being said I have what I know are some really simple questions but figure you all are likely to provide so great insight here. I think it makes sense to add them in here but if its considered a bit of a hijack just say so.

    So here they go:

    1. Do you generally only use the same favor juice in a carto - at least in between cleanings?

    2. How do you tell your cartos apart, right now I have two active and filled cartos - besides vaping with one, are what do you do to organize of label them?

these might be silly questions, but when its all new to you - you just don't know.

  14. Interesting, I was thinking for sure I have just ordered juices at too high a level. I did fill a cartomizer with Dulcis today using the carto condom method - thought I would try that, and I have been having more luck with that one.

I will say I did try Direct drip yesterday and that didn't work out so well but no doubt this is both a science and an art, so I will hand in there for sure.

Thanks for the prefilled idea - oh goddie, more to order!

  15. So today is my fist fully committed day to vape not smoke! I received my eGo yesterday and VT favors (four of them) and was absolutely shocked that this arrived to me in FL before noon when I only ordered is Saturday after 5 PM ET. Way to go VT store!

Anyway so I played with the ego some yesterday and my challenge is this - I am getting too much throat hit, and not enough vapor. I ordered all 16 mg Medium flavors as I have (now formerly smoked Camel light menthol - which tend to be a bit stronger) and thought that would be the correct MG but I am almost finding it to be too intense.

With the slightest of draws I am finding it to almost burn the throat, which makes me back off and thus produce little vapor. I do fully taste the intense flavor, which I like but its almost too much.

So I could use some guidance. What can I do to balance this out some? Any and all thoughts are welcome - not that I have to say that since I have found in just a few short days that y'all seem to have great suggestions.

    Thanks

  16. thanks for the input. Its so all so foreign to a noob like me after years and years of just going into a store and asking for 2 or 3 boxes of your normal cig brand to think about the different options, flavors, hardware and software that its just such a challenge to get your hands around and make a sound choice to get started. I have come to accept that I will make mistakes along the way and this will be a trial and error approach to the journey of transitioning from a smoker to a vaper.

Its pretty simple to envision what a bottle of 10 or 20 ML looks like but how that translates into how many drops does one typically get out of a bottle -- whew. I of course realize that typical is always the challenge, what is typical to one person is so varied from person to person.

To that end I have pulled the trigger and my eGo is packed and ready to go, with my tracking number in hand. I went ahead and got four flavors and the trial and error method round 2 is underway - or will be in a couple of days.

Thanks to all who are willing to share and I hope to be a contributing member of the community as my journey gets going

  17. Hey all,

So I am getting ready to pull the trigger and step up to the eGo. I was poking around in the store here and really want to go stainless eGO - I like the look of it just a bit more than the black matte finish (if someone knows any reason this is a bad idea I am open to hearing that!)

Anyway it I went to add it to the cart and keep getting a message "please choice one or more options to add this to your cart". But there are no options to choose from. I notice on the non-stainless one the option choices are about the free bottle of ejuice.

I have used the contact form on the store site to ask about the problem with ordering but I figured I would mention it here an ask if anyone has any insight and as I said, it also got me wondering if the black matte finish is preferable of the stainless - you all seem so quick to provide the insight you have built up I thought it cant hurt to ask!

  18. Well hello all. I just want to say this is a great forum, tons of great information here and a great resource and its greatly appreciated.

Like most noobs I jumped into vaping without a clear sense of what it is all really about. I thought it would be about replicating the smoking experience, thinking that was more about the form factor then the actual throat hit and lung hit, and vapor production. I ordered from Green smoke and instantly liked it, but within the first days of using the automatic battery and cartomizers quickly started having very inconsistent results - I am sure I am going to try to call them on the money back guarantee but every part of me thinks thats not going to go well. We shall see. I now realize that I really dont care what it looks and feels like in my hands but rather the actual experience it provides - lesson quickly learned!

So that leads me to my questions:

    Question set 1

Pretty sure based on all I have read here I will be placing an order for eGo (I really like the stainless, thought I would mention it). So it says the kit comes with a "full size bottle of eLiquid - your Choice" I have seen the vids and know you should do about 2 or 3 drops and that should give you about 5 to 7 puffs. So first is that correct? Assuming so, a full bottle gives you about how many drips (or 2 to 3). I am asking so I know if I should order more bottles at the same time.

Question 2 - so I did order a bunch of cartomizers from Green smoke and while I can return them I suspect the restocking fee and shipping makes it more trouble then its worth to return them. So I am wondering if anyone knows if I can use the cartomizers on the ego. What I do know is the auto batteries with Green smoke are 9MM battery threads.

I think thats all I have for now, any help and guidance is appreciated.
