  1. Good idea jeff. I contacted warthog about the VYPR. Sounds like a good place to get my feet wet with a MOD. Thanks for all your advice.
  2. That is fantastic. I would like to see a pic of the sign...
  3. The ecigology guys did a review on them. http://www.ecigology.com/cooper-and-gary-review-the-brand-spankin-new-clearomizers/ Hope this helps a little.
  4. Just wondering if anyone has a MOD starter kit. I love my eGo and see no real reason to upgrade, but I like new toys. I have a eGo and Riva 510 along with backups and a pass-trough. I am totally happy with it, but the quest must go on... I would like to get a starter kit that includes the battery and charger, etc... Looking to spend less than 150 bucks for the entire setup. I would like the ProVari but STICKER SHOCK... Maybe I will just bite the bullet and save up for it... Just looking for a shove in the right direction. Thanks in advance for your advice.
  5. Most vendors use PG to extract the Tobacco flavors. I think the best you may find is 50/50 mix. You can ask Todd over at VapeRite maybe he can suggest a mixture that will meet your needs.
  6. The answer to that question depends on who you talk to and it depends on what eJuice they use. I find that my atty's that I use with 100% PG NEVER need cleaning. I just blow them out every now and then. The more VG the eJuice has the more junk will get built up in the atty. With these I use Bulb Syringe method by TheGreen. I know some prefer Alcohol, Sofa, etc methods and that seems to work for them. I suggest trying a few different methods that work for you mixture of eJuice and run with it. Basically if we all vaped the same way and the same juice there would be only one answer, but we don't. Good luck.
  7. If you are using Cart make sure you are filling the Cartage until the filler looks like a Slushie or Slurpee and make sure you hit the top of the bridge with a drop or two of eJuice. It sounds like the bridge is getting dry and the fiber filler material is melting to the top of the bridge. I suggest tossing the filler material and Direct Dripping. Check out Chris's video on the How To's. Hope this helps.
  8. The charger should have a Red indicator on the plug and another on the connector part that attaches to the battery. Are they both Red when you plug them in? Also when you attach the battery to the adapter the button on the eGo should flash and the Red indicator on the adapter should turn Green. Does the eGo battery button flash? Does the adapter indicator turn Green?
  9. Don't waste your time on filling the cartages. Either use Cartomizers or use the cartage and toss out the filler and Direct Drip. Follow the video by Chris. Drip Tips feel more solid in my mouth and like birddog said you don't have the take it off every time you drip.
  10. Well that was easy... Email Sent. Thanks for the heads up.
  11. Check out www.vaperite.com. The organic line is AWESOME.
  12. Nice review thanks Smokie. That Black Cherry sounds good. I love Cherry, but have not found a Cherry that does not taste like NyQuil. Lewis Black nailed it when he said that NyQuil is the only thing on earth that tastes like Red and Green... If I could find a Cherry that tastes like a Jolly Rancher I would be in hog heaven.
  13. I am not one for Mint or Menthol, but I have heard that mixing Menthol with a Fruit flavor is the way to go.
  14. Riva vs eGo Well my backup unit arrived yesterday. I got a Riva 510. The look and feel is just about the same. I have noticed some slight differences. 1. The button. It is rubber and has a nice feel. The way it fires is different. There is a slight delay after you stop pushing the button where the atty is still active and the button still glows. Its only about a second. 2. The button ring. The eGo has a slight depression ring around the battery. The Riva has a ring but is not inset. 3. The Cone. The code does not seem to fit as tightly around the top of the atty. This leads to better air flow. 4. The air slots. There are air slots at the top of the battery of both the Riva and eGo. the slots are a little wider on the Riva. This changes the draw and air flow making the draw easier on the Riva, but only slightly. 5. Charging. While charging the Riva's button glows BLUE the entire time. There is a RED indicator light on the plug and a RED indicator on the part that screws on the battery. Couple that with the BLUE on the button, looks cool in a dark room. I charge my equipment in the bathroom. Its dark in in there and makes a nice night light. 6. Battery. Riva 510 Power: 4.1v to 4.2 at 750mAh - eGo Power: 3.7v to 3.8v at 650mAh. I also tested my eGo Passthrough and that one was at 3.7v to 3.8v at 650mAh. Over all I am very pleased with the Riva and will be buring this one in for the next few days. The biggest difference is in the Voltage. There is more popping and snapping because of the higher Volts. So far I am really digging the Riva. For now it is my primary device. If you have a chance to pick one up for a good price GO 4 IT!!!! To be honest I only ordered the Riva for the spare parts like the charger and cones, etc. For now the Riva is my go to device. ============================================================== TECH TIP: mAh stands for Milliamp Hour, a technical term for how much power a particular battery will hold. 15. There does not seem to be a clear pattern as to what strength nicotine you might need. Some people find they need higher strength than they thought. Some find that they need lower strength. The general rule of thumb is get something maybe a bit higher if unsure. You can always get some that is lower to cut it back with. Hope this helps.
  16. I am not one for reviews but I have to drop a good word for VapeRite organic eJuice. Gear = eGo Atty = de-bridged 510 Site: VapeRite site was easy to navigate and checkout was painless. Response from Todd: Always friendly and super responsive. Mix: 50/50PG/VG Nicotine: 18mg Shipment: USPS - Took 3 shipping days to arrive. Packaged well and not damaged. Every order of organic juice comes with a 3ml sample of another organic eJuice FREE. I got the Carmel Corn as the 3 ml sample (WOW, yeah I have ordered that too). Clouds of vapor and the flavor is outstanding. The best I can describe it as a creamy banana. Very smooth and a lot of flavor. Vapor = 9.5 Flavor = 10 Throat Hit = 5 or 6, but that is the way I like it... Overall = 9 I would recommend this to anyone.
  17. Welcome to Vapor Talk Pennelope71. Have a look through the Supporting Suppliers. There are sales all the time.
  18. The one most like a analog cig in size if the regular 510, but I would recommend the eGo. Which E-Cig Is The Best? Hope this helps.
  19. First of all Welcome to Vapor Talk. This is the age old question... The Noobie Guide Jargon for Noobs Which E-Cig Is The Best? I can tell you I love my eGo. Most of the Supporting Suppliers have what you need. In a nut shell you need a Starter Kit and some eJuice. Juices are a little harder to recommend only because what I LOVE you may HATE. Go for sample packs. If you have a specific question about a Starter Kit feel free to ask. Hope this helps.
  20. Depends on how yummy the juice is and the time on my hands... I would say less then one mil a day one some days.
  21. Glad you fond the issue. I have heard that some people are more sensitive to PG, but this does not seem to be your issue.
  22. Cartridge or Cart - The part of a three piece electronic cigarette which contains the liquid. These come blank (with no liquid), or prefilled. The Three pieces are Cartage, Attomizer and Battery. Cartomizer or Carto - The part of a two piece electronic cigarette which contains the liquid. These come blank (with no liquid), or prefilled. The two pieces are the Cartomizer and Battery. I mostly put this together for me so i can keep it all straight. http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/9784-jargon-for-noobs/ Hope this helps.
  23. I am going to throw my hat in the ring for the eGo, but there is nothing wrong with the others. I can tell you this. DEATH to those who touch my eGo. LOL... For a starter kit the eGo has it all for hardware. The choices for Juice (software) there are a million vendors. You can't go wrong by selecting any one of the vendors listed here on the forum. http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/forum/189-supporting-suppliers/ Make sure you read The Noobie Guide by Jolly
  24. @Aaronh, LOL. I think we need someone that knows the guts of these, but I think the coil gets junked up and there is no good way to clean it because the filling surrounds the coil. I have heard there are cleaning methods that can prolong the carto.
