  1. Bob, Welcome! I've been absent from the site for a long time.. most probably think I've died (I'm back ya'll).... However, what you'll find from the people here is TONS of valuable advice, lots of support, and the knowledge to keep the alternative to analogs alive!! If you've got an inkling of a question, ASK! Congrats on your 7 weeks! I'm getting close to my one year THANKS TO THE VT FORUMS!!
  2. Hello there, I tried searching for an answer but cant put PG into the search engine cause it's only two letters....any thought appreciated. I've been vaping for about 6 months now. I realized that the flavoring wasn't my "need" so I bought some Nic Juice, ordered PG through the local pharmacy and bought VG at Walmart. I've been vaping 12 mg , 70% PG 30% VG with no flavor. (it's not as bad as you think....kinda sweet. Anyway, my room mates commented that I'm ALWAYS tired now. I hadn't thought about it as I have a new job this year and attributed it to that. However, after thinking about it, I've been pretty heaavy on the vaping and usually just about fall over after a calm vaping session while at home. Has anyone else experienced this with a strong PG mix? I just mixed some 80% VG and 20% water to see how that affects me over the next day or two but any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks,
  3. Thanks Juice I'll have to try this out. I wasn't aware of the 4 part PGA to 1 part Crystals.
  4. Thanks MaryAnn. I've got that on my list! I haven't done much mixing lately....haven't had the time, plus bought the full sampler from VT! Have to vape that down before I splurge again Hope to see you soon! B!
  5. Thanks Kits. I'll be playing Sir-Mix-O-Lot a bit later today!
  6. Do it right the first time.. buy back ups and generally at least one of whatever you can get your hands on i.e. cartomizers, drip tips, low resistance cartomizers etc. If you do I like I did you'll constantly be wondering what else you COULD have, and what could be better for you. It's taken almost three weeks to find "my perfect fit" but I've found it and am even more hooked than when my ego arrived. Welcome to the community. There are TONS of GREAT people here to answer any questions you may have. I can't believe I've learned as I have in the past three weeks! Save $, Vape More!!
  7. test post.. sorry all I'm having issues.
  8. Happy Anniversary!!!! and Contratulations!
  9. I too just got the Mentha with nic.. OMG I'M IN HEAVEN! I don't taste the bitter you're talking about but then again, I've not tried any w/o nic. BUT.... I've been off analogs for 19 days and am really staring to taste the various flavors. At first I was not as impressed with the various differences between them ( bad taste buds from 25 years of analogs) but now.....OH YEAAAAA BABY!!!! In fact, tonight was the first time that Jack In the Box tacos reallyyyyyyyy hit the spot on my toungue!!! I may actually finally gain some weight...food it soo much better already!!! Stick with it! 10. OHHHHH I need a bigger vape budget!! All these flavors, all these vendors, ALL THESE RECIPES!!!!! However, did just recieve my 10 pack VT juices! Sampling away! So far, LOVING Mentha, Dulcis is a close second, Grape Soda is nice along with Midnight and Sweet Dawn (for the lighter side of things). The VT tobacco is very strong to me on the tobacco flavor!! Here's my main ?? for the night! I've got some 48MG nic juice,no flavor and the 16 mg VT Tobacco. The rmmate need a higher nic level and a less potent Tobacco flavor. So.... if I were to remix the Tobacco and unflavored Nic Juice...any suggestions on ratios to to reach a nic level of about 24mg? Yea, I know.. usually we're trying to cut the nic level....I always come up with the "Doozys". Thanks in advance because I just KNOW that one of you all have the answer I need. Save $, Vape More!
  11. Bwhahahaaa... if she were still smoking analogs and was out she woudl've stopped at the store between the funeral and the meal to pick up her flavor of cigarettes- I just see the pacifier addiction continuing on
  12. HEY NEW PEOPLE.....INDIVIDUAL TASTES ARE DIFFERENT! Start by TRYING the recommendations, but sample others as well....you may find a flavoring brand or specific flavor you like better than what was recommended... How was that Nana? How'd I do? Huh? Huh!? Huh??? did I do okay???? Hmmmm???? Yes, I was born to be a clown
  13. English Toffee, Cherry, Creme de Menthe, Rootbeer, Chocolate, Grape, Apple, and Coconut. What I have left that seem okay to me are : English Toffee, Creme de Menthe, Chocolate, Apple and Coconut. The bad ones so far are : Root Beer, Grape, and Cherry - Cherry seemed mediciny and not strong enough for me to taste Oh well... The experimenting lives on!!!
  14. OK.. IFLADA-(I feel like a dumb ***)! I usually catch typos before I open my mouth and put my foot in it! With all the talk of various "Stay away from this, that and this) I thought there might be a new line of Lorann's that I didn't know about! LOLOL Gotta keep it fun...that's my motto! Cheers!
  15. What is ND loranns? I have a post about the horrible taste of the Lorann's Root Beer. Is the ND different from their normal? As stated in my other post, the normal Root Beer was VERY dark and tasted burnt immediately even starting with very little. I've tried this twice with less RootBeer and still get the same results. Had to soak the atty in everclear for over an hour to get the taste out! Oh, BTW, same with Lorann's grape. VERY dark and horrid taste.
  16. Brian, how did your flight go? Any probs with security? Did you get the scan or the pat? Did you ask to see your picture or enjoy the free groping? LOL
  17. Well Thank GOD it's just not me! I was begining to think my taste buds were trying to simulate the taste of analogs which I imagine taste like sh#T after vaping. I'm not about to try one to find out though. I have found that as a cart (yes I'm using them until I can order LR cartos), gets about 3/4 empty, that I'm tasting much more straight VG- that non descript mouth coating feeling/taste. I guess I'm just learning when it's time for me to refresh Nana, that recipe sounds great! I'll have to do some shopping at try it! I did try lorann's grape, can't seem to get it strong enough to really taste it, but, the rmmate came in and said "What is that smell?" I thought he was talking about the BURNT smell from the Rootbeer, but when that wasn't it, I said Grape? YEP, that was it! Apparently my buds were shot last night. I'm going to drip some of the "test" concoction and see if I can taste it tonight. Looking forward to more recipies from you all. Save $, Vape More! Bahamasboy
  18. OK. BAAADDDD recipe tried...and looking for a good one to replace it. Tried Lorann Rootbeer according to Todd's calculator. Only put in about 3/4 of the recommended flavor because the Root beer from Lorann seems REALLY STRONG! Well,, it was.. I tried to dilute with straight VG but couldn't get that BURNT flavor outta my mouth and atty. Boiled it for 10 minutes, blew it out with an air compressor, then dry burned the atty... I CAN STILL TASTE IT! Does anyone have a good Rootbeer recipe? Also, Made a pretty good "Mounds" out of Lorann Chocolate and Coconut. I did a 50/50 of the flavors to start, then put those in at 40% flavors with Todd's calculator. It's not that bad, however..... if you start to burn it (dry atty), you'll acutally get a burn coconut taste as well. I tried adding about 5% Wilton Vanilla, but didn't make much difference. I'm going to up the chocolate so that I'm at about 75% chocolate and 25% Coconut. If that works, I'm gonna try adding some Creme de Menth to see if I can get a hint of mint out of it. I'll keep you posted.. but seriously.....ROOTBEER recipe wanted !!! LOL
  19. Getting ready to order some LR's. After all I've read lately, they seem to be the only way to go with cartos.
  20. That raises a ??? for me Dayvape. Does thinner give you a better vapor output on cartos? I just dont seem to get anywhere near the exhale on cartos that I get on carts or drip. I know it will be reduces some but it pretty dramatically reduced.
  21. LOL.. if he was vaping English Toffee, it might mask the smell a bit! Just my $0.02
  22. Matt, Welcome to the vape world! I started with a Green Smoke (very similar to the Blu, almost identical) however quickly realized after doing two full weekends- literally- of reading these forums (ok so maybe not so quickly) that I was missing out on many of the options available on the 510 and the Ego's. My Green Smoke had a 30 day return, which I did and it more than paid for my Ego! Whatever you choose to do or buy, spend some time reading through all the posts here. You'll learn more than you ever thought possible about e-cigs and vaping. I'm glad that you discovered this alternative while you're still young. It took me 25 years of smoking analogs to finally find something that has gotten me on the road to healthier habits and the transition was totally effortless! Good luck and keep us posted! We like success stories!!
  23. ohhh very SMART idea...drop downs!!! Touche!!
  24. OK, I only thought I had solved the issue! Can liquid get UNDER the atty somewhere between the air holes in the threads and the actual atty well? Same atty this evening gurgling again, but this time with a drip tip. I've completely blown it out, left it sitting all afternoon to drain, not much on the tissue. Fired it up w/o any drops and NO vapor. Tried this about 3 times just to be sure. All sounded clear. Added 2 drops and it gurgled away again. I've found that if I hold it horizontally while vaping, it clears up after about 4 long drags and gives much better vape, although less flavor and gets a hotter vape. But... then 2 drops after no vapor and it gurgles again. I think it's just time to retire this one, however, it heats fine. I'll keep experimenting with it while trying any other suggestions you may have. TTYS! Bahamas BTW, bought another EGO for the rmmate. Also got two drip tips....HEAVEN!!!
