  1. Hi GTR, That's kind of a tough one because it depends on how much you vape and how much juice you go through. From what I have read, the battery itself can last 3-6 months (depending on use) and atty's 1-2 months. Since it's the juice that ultimately determines how much you are actually smoking that's a better way to find the equivalent. I have found that 3-4 drops of juice in the ecig gives me about 12-15 good hits which is, I THINK, equivalent to one analog. So (ok Jodie is squinting eyebrows and remembering how much she HATED math in school...LOL!) I do that about 5-6 times a day right now so that is for ME about 5-6 analogs. I'm guessing that is considered light use so I am going to assume my battery will last about 4-5 months and atty closer to 2 months. Since the atty will go out first, I will say I am going to have the equivalent of ABOUT 360 cigs in 2 months (6 X 60 days). Your mileage may vary.
  2. Good points Joe! I was already a very light smoker to begin with (2-5 cigs a day). Last Thur., after vaping for a week, I tried an analog (cuz I had a beer and it was a tough work day) and was shocked to see how grossed out I was after only 3 puffs. I literally couldn't finish it. The next night, I tried again just because I couldn't believe it and had one puff and began choking/coughing and promptly put that out too. In other words, I don't think I could smoke an analog now if I tried! And other than on the 3rd day of no analog's, I've not had a craving at all. However, you do bring up very good points about having backups. I had already spent some time online tonight looking to purchase backups. I got an eGo starter kit that came with 2 of everything so I'm doubled up at the moment. But I am going to get another battery and a few more 510 LR atty's. (I direct drip). Juice I got covered cuz I've been like a kid in a candy store getting sampler packs and 10ml bottles of all kinds of stuff! LOL! Jodie
  3. 1. I work out regularly doing Yoga and Pilate's. How odd but how freakishly cool it was today to finish a workout and sit down and vape a bit before hitting the shower. 2. My 11 year old daughter came home from school today and just came over and gave me a huge hug and said "Mom, I am sooooooo proud of you. If you can just keep doing this vaping thing and never have a cigarette again, that would be totally alright by me." (I'm on day 12 of no analogs today). 3. Tonight after dinner I took my last 1/2 pack of cigs I had left and ceremoniously threw them in the garbage witnessed by my husband and my 2 girls (11, 17). Life. Is. Gooooood. Jodie
  4. Yup, I am totally spoiled now!! And proud of it. Thank you guys for your input!
  5. Ok, so I'm confused. You can vape pure "juice" without PG OR VG in it? How does that work? Never heard of that. Or am I totally missing something that I will find myself going "adhuuugh" about. Jodie
  6. Thank you for the heads up on Bluemist.com! I just ordered 2 sample packs (in each sample pack you can choose 5 flavors in 3ml bottles for only 10 bucks). And I got the caramel tobacco there for my dad (who just started vaping today!). If I can get a good tobacco one for him, he's sure to make the switch permanently! Currently my number ONE top favorite is Kona Cream from vaperite.com Daaaannnnnngggg is that nice with coffee (the drink haha!) in the morning! But I could definitely vape it all day long too. During the day I do a mix of either vanilla and raspberry or raspberry and lemonade (all from vaperite, organics). I am finding that 100% VG or 100% PG is not flyin with me though (PG is too thin, makes wispy vapor and can't feel in your throat at all and VG is too thick in vapor and feels too "syrupy" in my throat. So gonna try 50/50 or 80/20 or something. I'm off to visit more eliquid stores! Wheeee!! Jodie
  7. Perfect! That makes total sense. (and explains why when using my 2 different units, I was getting 2 totally different experiences without knowing why). LOL! So from that experience, I have decided I TOTALLY love the LR atty much better. Thanks so much DV!
  8. I've heard a lot of you talking about the Bobas Bounty so I think I'm going to get that for him. Also there's one called Desert something or other I see a lot. Anybody know the full name of that and where it's sold? I just called my dad back to tell him something I just found out about the atty's in our kits (one is a LR and one is a Standard) and his wife said he had just gone outside into the woods to work on his deer stand.... WITH his eGo and NOT his pack of cigs! (they were sitting on the counter). He'll be out there all day with just his ecig. WOOT WOOT!!!!!!! Jodie
  9. Ok, so bear with the noob here who should do her work and look it up herself.... But I just found out that the kit I got has 2 different types of atty's in it. It's the Joye eGo dual kit from puresmoker.com (got it when they had the 49.99 special). One is a LR 510 silver atty and one is a "standard" 510 black atty. What the heck is the difference? One thing I did find out from the online chat gal on puresmoker.com is that the standard does not need nearly as much juice (I thought you just used about 3 drops no matter what?) so that is why it was leaking a lot. Please help a gal out! (plus I need to know quick so I can tell my dad who just got his kit today and I don't want him finding any excuse not to keep at it!) Jodie
  10. OH I am so excited! When I got my new eGo 2 weeks ago, I got two sets, one for me and one for my dad. He's 67 years old and has smoked average 2 to 3 packs a day his whole adult life. He's tried to quit more times than I could ever count. He's what I refer to as a northern (we're from Minnesota) hillbilly/redneck. He's pretty set in his ways, lives a simple life in the woods, prefers "eating out of the can" vs using a plate and if it can built with plywood and duct tape, that's good enough for him. I mailed him his eGo and he received it today. I just got off the phone with him after showing him the ropes and having him try it a few times and he is totally impressed! I got him 3 different tobacco flavors (he would not do it if it didn't have a good tobacco flavor) and the one he likes the best is vaperite's VG organic tobacco juice. He said it has a slight licorice taste that he really likes. (one problem though is I had ordered it at 24mg and they sent 18 by mistake) so I gave him a heads up he may need to toot more on that one or go back and forth with the other 24mg's that I got. So he's gonna give it a go and see what happens! Send him good vape-vibes guys!!! Oh and for those who really like the hard core tobacco flavors, please recommend some that you like best. Thanks! Jodie
  11. I start out every morning with Kona Cream with my cup of coffee (usually 2 direct drip atty's worth) and then the rest of the day I do a lemon/raspberry mix and in the evening a creamy vanilla. (all are vaperite's organic/vg blends). I've only been vaping for just under 2 weeks though. I'm now at the "gotta try many different flavor's" point in my journey though so we'll have to see how things morph.
  12. I am now 10 days into vaping (Joye eGo 3.7 volt, 12 mg juice, direct drip). Analog smoking I was having 3-5 cigs a day. And other than one little mishap last weekend where I didn't vape enough and got into MAJOR crave mode and had one cig, I have been analog free. BUT, I had an experience on Thur. that absolutely blew my mind. Thur. I had a helluvu work day and I vaped my way through it (I work from home). Got to the end of the day, hubby came home and we had a beer together and I was telling him about it. Was still pretty amped up and I got one of those "just gotta do it and don't think about it" moments and went outside to have an analog. I took 3 puffs and was totally and absolutely disgusted. Not mentally. PHYSICALLY! The taste, the feel in my throat, the feel in my lungs?! I literally was in shock about that and WILLED myself to take another puff because I just simply couldn't believe it. And with that 4th puff, I coughed it out and promptly put out the cig. I literally snuffed out a 3/4ths of a cig. (say whaaaa???) I know you all have talked about that experience on here but I simply didn't believe it. Until I experienced it. And just because I still couldn't believe it, I tried it again last night. Had ONE puff and started choking and coughing. I literally cannot smoke analogs anymore! HAHAHAHA!!! That just simply blows my mind to kingdom come. So, vaping is now my new smoking for good and I am soooo happy about that! Man, to wake up in the morning and suck in fresh clean crisp fall air outside WITHOUT coughing...holy canole what a treat. But I have some questions: 1. What is the experiential difference between VG and PG ( I know factual difference but what is the difference in how they vape?). Does one tend to dry you out more than the other? (that's the biggest "negative" to me is how it dries out your throat). 2. Has anyone ever experienced getting heartburn from vaping? I seemed to get that a lot with the PG but just a little with the VG. Especially on an empty stomach. Never got that with analogs. 3. I have 2 complete Joye eGo sets (came as a package deal) and on one of them, the juice seems to leak at the connection to the battery. I thought maybe I was putting in too much juice. (I use 3-4 drops). So I tried the other one with the same filling of juice and it hasn't done that at all. Defective? 4. I'm curious to know the longest someone has been vaping. From what I can tell, the longest I've seen is about a year. Anyone been vaping longer than a year? Oh and as for the eGo battery...HOLY CRAP! I charged it on the first day and that bugger lasted a whole week! (I was a light smoker to begin with so I really only vape like 4-5 times a day with about 10-15 toots each time). ROCK!!! VAPE ON!! Jodie
  13. One of the posts above (sorry, forget who it was and don't want to go back to look) stated that it takes about 12-15 hits of vaping to equal one analog. THANK YOU!!! I think that's my problem. I have been a "low smoker" of 2-5 cigs a day for about 10 years (less before that, like just when I had a beer or something). And I just started vaping 4 days ago. I've had 2 analogs in that 4 days. But this morning (4th day)I woke up cravin something awful! I didn't think I was "addicted to nic" but...silly me. LOL. When I vape, I've only been doing it during the times I would normally have an analog and only puff about 5-6 times (Joye eGo, 18mg direct drip). So it looks like I've been "undervaping" hence why I'm getting the withdrawls. It didn't occur to me to figure out the analog/vape equation to see what the equivalent was. Your post helped me! Jodie
