  1. Glad to see you picked up some good equipment, and reliable batteries for sub-ohming...

One thing I don't think anybody has mentioned, but I'll re-iterate if they have... When direct-dripping, you should use a lower Nicotine level. If you use 18mg in your Nautilus, you may consider 6mg or even 3mg in your TOBH. RDA's produce loads more vapor, and hotter vapor. The increase in vapor production means more nicotine delivered, and it is proven that heat increases absorption of Nicotine by the body, so not only do you get more Nicotine per hit, you're also absorbing it faster :)

My all-day-vapes are 12, 15, and 18mg Nicotine, but when I use my RDA, I use 6mg (sometimes), 3mg (normally), and 0mg (when I just want a flavor).

    .

Thanks for the info. I have been using 18mg juices in my tanks, but luckily I had a left over bottle from when I first started out that was at 6mg when the equipment arrived. I'll be swinging by a b&m this afternoon for some backup juice and I also have a nice vape mail order coming in with a whole range of lower nic juices. (I dripped a bit of 18mg rootbeer flavor, almost coughed out my lung, and immediately rewicked with the 6 mg. never again lol)

Interesting that the body absorbs more of it when warmed up, I was under the impression it was only because of flavor and excessive throat hit that lower nic was recommended.

  2. So an update: I purchased Sony VTC4 18650 batteries, an EFest Ohms meter, and the TOBH atomizer. I also have a small spool of both 26g and 28g Kanthal and some nice organic cotton for wicks. I definitely appreciate you all pointing out the numerous small, but essential items that I wouldn't have thought to purchase.

I have immediately went to work wrapping coils. My first build is a dual coil, 26g, 6 wraps on each side. It reads consistently at .45ohms. This vaper production is unreal compared to the MVP & Nautalis tanks I have been using and the flavors are amazing. It fires nicely and I'm happy with the setup overall.

This thread has been a major help to me. Thanks all!

  3. Well, the Black Friday deals that kept popping up in my inbox all day got the best of me. I just purchased the HCigar Nemesis Clone mod at a fantastic price.

I have been vaping for about 4 months. I currently have an MVP 2.0 with an Aspire mini attached as my go to device. I love this device, but have become more curious about dripping and would love to get into it.

Like my title says, I want to take my time getting into this, I want to be safe, and am eager to learn as much as possible. In fact, I don't plan on buying anything else until I feel that I have enough information and have learned enough to confidently begin.

I know I will need to start with an ohms reader, but what other supplies/tools/equipment will I need to get?

When it comes to batteries, I am a bit lost. There are just so many to choose from and they all come in different sizes and amps. Where could I get started on learning more, and does anyone have recommendations for a beginner?

Atomizers seem to be a matter of preference and price, but where would you point a beginner to start looking or what atomizers are frequently recommended for the Nemesis?

Like I said, I am eager to learn and want to be as safe as possible. I have watched numerous videos on how to wrap a coil and that seems easy enough after some practice, but when it comes to why coils are being built in a specific way, the number of wraps needed, ect it gets a bit over my head ATM.

Any reading materials, good youtube videos, or any other information that you fine folks can pass along would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  4. Very good device. I've had mine for about a month now and it has been running like a champ. I charge it every night next to my cell phone and it lasts me though out the day without even a thought that it might run out of battery. The VV/VW feature works nicely. The device charger is neat, but I don't foresee myself using it unless in a bind and the puff counter helps me moderate my intake.

    Love this thing.

  5. After only two months in I have smoke probably 3 cigs(given to me late drinking nights by my friends when my battery ran out. I have backups now)

All of my vape goals are being reached. I vape much less than I smoked, the tastes are enjoyable, I don't stink, my car is clean, and I feel healthier. That said I don't see myself quitting anytime soon or ever :)

  6. I ordered from Sweet-Vapes as my first online supply and juice order. Great experience.

I tried Pineapple Shake and Starbuckets.

Pineapple Shake was excellent. Tasted like high quality ingredients. It was sweet, but had a creaminess to it that blended nicely. Will order more soon.

Starbuckets also tasted high quality, but I personally didn't enjoy it. That is just me though; I have tried multiple coffee flavors, and even though I love coffee, I can't find an juice that does it for me.

I also ordered a Kanger EMOW tank. Love that little guy.

The order was shipped the day after I ordered it and arrived exactly when they said it would in the email.

    Highly recommend!

  7. Wow, after several weeks, I'm having a lot of difficulty going back to the stogies. The vapes are just so enjoyable. One cigar in over a week. This is bad. ;)

It's not bad at all! Be happy for yourself!

Just realize that you are enjoying new tastes and a new experience. Doesn't hurt that it is more healthy then the stoges you were smoking!

  8. I gave up on my protank 2 for this exact reason.

Some of the tips I tried to follow based on my research was flipping the rubber grommet upside down, thoroughly cleaning with vodka, and removing wicks.

The dry hit taste still wouldn't go away (I use a 1300mah EMOW VV battery and 1.8ohms coils) and with fewer wicks I seemed to be getting juice in my mouth.

I replaced it with a new Aerotank MOW and will not look back at a protank product.

  9. Just ordered a Kanger Aerotank MOW, a 15mL bottle of Sweet-Vapes Starbuckets, and a 15mL of Sweet-vapes Pineapple Shake.

New to vaping and this is only my third online order. I'm disappointed by my first. I found an awesome deal for a Kanger Protank 2 for $9.99, however it ended up being a fake(no authenticity code, but there was a blank card in the packaging, plus there was a bead of glue on the top of the top connection piece that caused me to break the glass tube when taking it apart to clean on the first day, and the damn thing seems to constantly spray juice in my mouth now that I have a replacement glass)

Decided to follow the KISS method and bought another MOW tank since I absolutely love the one that came on my EMOW starter kit and it seems to get great reviews on any site I can find that has them in stock.

Pictures will be posted when the gear arrives, probably around Wednesday is my guess.

  10. I started vaping recently because for some reason this summer I couldn't stand the taste, smell,or price of cigs anymore.

    Right now I have a 18mg rootbeer, a 12mg strawberry custard, and a 10mg kiwi custard.

Hopefully I can bring those levels down on my next juice order and eventually to 0mg.

I've really enjoyed the tastes, overal quality of life improvements, and generally like tinkering with things, but I'm not sure if I want to get to involved in the hobby side of vaping if my intent is eventually quitting for good.

  11. Wow 9 years ago and you still are having urges? Congrats on the willpower that it must have taken to stay cig free for all that time.

Definitely stay away from nicotine liquids. No reason to reintroduce that into your system at this point. Find some nice nicotine free tasty flavors and enjoy!

  12. Hello everyone, my name is Shawn. I'm from southern New Hampshire and I'm completely new to vaporizing. I'm extremely excited to get started. I guess I can tell you a bit about myself.

I'm 27 years old and have been a heavy, pack and a half a day, cigarette smoker for the past 10 years.

Over the years I tried to quit so many times. Gum, patches, meditation, and cold turkey, but always going back. I recently wanted to try prescriptions like chantix, but found out my insurance wouldn't cover the meds or appointments. Frustrated I began to ask people for suggestions. A friend recommend looking to find a Vaporizer shop in my area. I did a bit of reading and was very interested.

I found one about 20 minutes from home and stopped by this past Saturday. After spending about 2 hours there talking to the owners and testing out some equipment and juices(these guys were really helpful), I personally think my life has changed dramatically for the better.

I haven't smoked a cigarette in 5 days. I brought home a Kanger Tech EMOW starter kit, along with 2 bottles of juices(rootbeer and a strawberry custard). I have had a few urges to have a butt, however, I love this thing so far and I don't think I'll EVER go back to cigs. It's easy to use, clean, and the battery seems to last me all day. Is there anything I should know about this kit or can anyone recommend some extra tanks or upgrades for it?

I look forward to chatting with all of you here and learning along the way. I would appreciate any advice, suggestions, or support you all have for me as I begin this journey.

    Cheers!
