  1. what about the firing buttons? I know there are probably a few vids on youtube etc. but given the computer at works firewall. i cant go see any videos. i dunno my button tends to get hot and i noticed some crud on it... that mod is due for an overall cleaning/soaking.

Would rubbing alcohol do the trick?

  2. Shouldn't be a problem running a tank on a mec mod. For the tobh it's really going to depend on what build you have. Jason said it, get that ohm meter before even attempting to put something on there. At first when building I was a little iffy and gradually went down into sub ohming. My comfort zone is around 0.2 and even then, you have to be VERY careful not to overtrain the battery and make sure there are no shorts, make sure you put it down at the first sign of uncomfortable heat. I personally have a very low tolerance, as soon as I feel it getting hot. I stop. Simple as that. There is cleaning to be considered too. My mod is due for a cleaning and the button gets hot when I vape a dozen drags in a row. There's crud on the pin which doesn't make for good contact.

My rule of thumb is, if it's not vamping like if it was brand new, there's something you have to adjust or clean or adjust. Something isn't right!

  3. Im still searching too. after almost a full day with that 5pawns im going to keep it as a desert vape at home. its delicious, dont get me wrong, just scared to get sick of it. it might be better with a different build where its less hot and dense. anyway going to pick up some shocker from... i forget who in an hour or so! strawberry lemonade? sounds right

  4. I wont try to rain on anyones parade but, with my history. i was also on welbutrin for a while. the side effects for me made things worse with depression. they were supposed to stabilize me but it put everything on a rollercoaster with a jet engine lol. probably just wasnt the right one for me.

after stopping I decided to take a natural approach with excersize and juicing. this helped rediculously. of course finding time for the gym is hard at first especially if you have kids. but that 45m-1hr a day does WONDERS!

on welburtin (just typed that twice and it still came out wrong so it will stay as is haha) I still smoked and although i would find myself skipping days where i didnt smoke the habit took over more than the need so I guess i just wasnt mentally ready

  5. im probably going to be looking into that for a nice gift from me to me for christmas lol

YES I SAID CHRISTMAS... its coming... a lot faster than we all thought!!!!

I gotta get my vapelyfe mod before.. ive been eyeing it for months and friday is the day i pull the trigs

that being said though this box sounds freaking awesome. a local shop just received a 100w box from... i think sigelei and they dont know what price yet but they were thinking 150-200... which is over the top for me knowing that online it can be found for 100$

  6. i like the look of the plume veil ! I was thinking of doing that too lol!

actualy I have a post up about clear coating and/or painting a mod. havent had any answers yet but I was mentioning that maybe putting some brake caliper paint which is heat resistant might work. since those things take a pretty hard beating it shouldnt be too tough on a mod.

if not, ive seem tobh and patriots and tugboats too.

  7. you said it " whatever works works"!!!

vaping is such an individualistic hobby or whatnot. at first its all about finding what works for you. higher nic or lower , the voltage that gives you the draw you like(since youre using a spinner you can adjust it)

I too started with some generic flavors from this random shop that only had no name liquids and a few starter kits. when i got into better juice which cost me the same from an actual vape shop, the whole world changed!

like they said before, your taste budds will be changing so dont get frusterated when a juice you LOVE turns into something youre not too fond of. it might come back or it might not but the best thing is tht there is sooooo much variety that with a little trial and error you will definately find something you love!

welcome to VT and dont be shy to post and ask anything! its a great bunch and there is no such thing as a stupid question here.

if ever youre too shy to publicaly asks omething you can PM me and although im not a pro, i have had a bit of experience with my own extensve trial and error. even now I dont feel fully satisfied and im still looking for my unicorn.

  8. thats 24g by the way, if you're using 22 then probably not gonna work.

I have a soft spot for 24g too! 22-20 seems to have too much ramp up time for my taste since i look for 0.2ohms. going super sub ohm would change that but ... not really my cup of tea.

didnt get to rebuilding last night... hopefully i find some time today, those coils are getting gunky :S

how many wraps is that? 10 or 12? im not sure i counted right lol

  9. nice! thanks munster!

im guessing they buy batteries from the main producers and wrap them themselves. no idea though... im kindof over it haha

on another note. the VTC 5s that i found in my car work good... tend to drain SUPER quick... like half the time the efests take to drain. and tends to easily make the mod hot.. or maybe it was my fault for not leaving enough time between puffs...

  10. I am however looking into some of the 50 watt and up electronic mods that have replacable batteries such as IPV2/2S/3, Sigelei 100 watt, and Cloupor T6. I am not going to pull the trigger anytime soon, but It would be nice. I like the "best of both worlds" approach, mechanical power, electronic safety.

i honestly think that the hardware in those justify the higher price-point. but hey thats just the way i see things. some people justify buying 250$ jeans, never in my life i would do such a thing. call me cheap! but i will spend over 250$ on a nice supper with the wife. to each his own!

  11. Exactly. I hear this from time to time. "Efest are just rewrapped LG batteries that couldn't pass the test." Or "Efest are just rewrapped batteries that couldn't be called VTC4." The funny this is that 1.) There's never any photo evidence showing this to be true and 2.) The claim is never for the same brand of battery. It's always a grab bag.

I also hear a lot about Big Foot sightings. Similarly, I never see any credible photo evidence of that either.

i have seen photos of this. but just like bigfoot... until i see it myself. i wont be 100% convinced...

on the other hand it is true that only a handfull of companies make these batteries which might support the theory that they are rewrapped. but in no way supports that of them not being up to par.

  12. well the title says it.. and yes i know this has been covered before but the lack of detail in the posts i searched left me hungry enough to start a new one!

    SOOOO

My brass cartel is slowly starting to look like a turd, im going to be shinning it up with a jewlers cloth hoping that will give it a second life. if not what can I soak it in to really get it golden & brand new?

Secondly. i will be getting a copper mod. its in a box somewhere around the world. I was looking to clear coat it from the start to really keep the brand new look. or painting it white and keeping a couple areas copper... anyways thats all in my mind but it will eventually be cleared.

Point being. what clear coat would work best? I was thinking of getting the same kind that one would use to paitn and then clear coat car rims? or even heat resistant ones for brake pads? im guessing that stuff is ++++ durable right?

If any of you have done this before either on wheels or on mods, could you please tell me your story and what products youve used. good or bad experience, since obviously im going to avoid something thats going to leave my hands dirty for days haha

p.s. for soaking a mod to clean it, i woudl appreciate most details possible... like what to soak it in is great but for how long would be very appreciated too! rinsing it after or not? etc.

p.s.s. you guys are awesome, but you already knew that!

  13. i might take some heat right now... but I do not see the point in buying an authentic, unless it has a new space age kindof thing that cannot be reproduced... its nice and shiny and fun but when you come to the basics... im definately not paying close to 100$ for a metal tube...

THAT BEING SAID i will pay that much for multiple tubes lol

in all honesty earthling hit the spot. hcigar infinite ehpro are the most reputable clone makers in my book. I would personally only buy from those three since they have a proven track record.

depending on the mod youre looking for you can definately find one under 40$ and some go even lower!

ive seen some crazy stuff on fastech but heard so many stories about them that im very hesitant.

I started with a hades clone. the black one made of... i think its stainless... it was good. i mean its purely mechanical. twist the caps, hit the button, and it goes. i see how some could get anoyed by a button that doesnt fire but there are adjustments one can do to get rid of that.

for your first one dont worry about it. go with the mentioned companies and you should get something great. the penny is actually an amazing mod, if you see one for cheap it would be a heck of a good way to start!!!
