  1. I finally got tired of filling my carts up all the time. I decided to try direct dripping last night. I don't have a drip tip yet, so I just emptied my cart and tried it that way. It works ok as far as the flavor and vapor but it leaks and I get a lot of liquid in my mouth. How many drops should I be putting in at a time? I'm thinking of just going back to the cart and trying the blue foam.
  2. I get that often, but I just figured it was from the drying out that everyone says you get from vaping. Also, I would be really interested to know if any of our long time vapers have had a chest x-ray, and what it looked like.
  3. From what I understand, most coffee pot cleaners are 100% Citric Acid or basically lemon juice. If that's the case with this cleaner, it's very safe.
  4. Seriously? I blew mine out with canned air right before I left work today. I hadn't read this thread and thought I had thought of a great idea. Do you think that it could hurt me? I've been vaping with the atomizer all night, now I'm concerned.
  5. For me it's both. 24mg of nic for me is way too high. but...PG by itself is also way too harsh for me. It's trial and error to find the perfect fit that's right for you. for me it's 10mg of nic in a PG/VG mix. that's what works for me.
  6. 24 mg is a very high dose of nic. I've vaped my friend's 24 mg juices and choked as if I had puffed on my first analog. The higher the nic, the harder the throat hit. I can do 18mg but I mostly am down to using 10mg, which may be too light for you especially just starting out. I also make sure mine is a PG/VG mix. Of course I'm only speaking from my own experience.
  7. Hey Dude, we were just informed about a month ago that we are NOT allowed to vape at work. I agree it would be better for them if they would allow us to (not that we don't when no one's looking). I think they just don't want to take the time to try to understand it. I guess they'd rather have sickly employees. We've switched about 7 employees to vaping now, there's only 2 or 3 smokers left in the building.
  8. Is the eGo charger compatible with my Riva batteries? I am trying to find a faster charger and all I can find are eGo chargers.
  9. I know Jodie, and what really gets me is that it had to have tasted that terrible the first few times I smoked, yet I continued to keep sucking them down until the addiction kicked in. CRAZY.
  10. Thanks for the tip Aimee! And thanks everyone for being such great support to everyone on here. And btw, my extra batts weren't in the mail. I'm sure they will come tomorrow.
  11. Yeah tell me about it! The problem is my husband is famous for losing things, and just recently that included a few of our battery backups. So we were short for a while. I'm trying to replenish them as money allows, in fact I should have some in my mailbox when I get home today. As for my quit meter, I figured out how to post it on my profile, but haven't been able to figure out how to make it show up when I post.
  12. So I don't know if anyone remembers, but I had a really hard time at the beginning switching to full time vaping. I finally made the permanent switch 40 some days ago. Last Friday I was out and both my batteries had died. I vape heavily when I'm out at bars . So I took an analog from a friend and smoked it. I just wanted to tell you all that I got so sick from that nasty thing. I immediately ran to the bathroom and puked my guts out. I don't regret doing it, because now I know for sure that it's disgusting, so I think I'm good now, no more analogs for me.
  13. It took a few months before I was ready to make the switch to the bigger and better battery. Honestly if I would have been told not to bother with my 510 and to go with a big cigar looking battery, I would have giving up and kept smoking. I think that when some people first quit, having something the same size of a cig is just as important as having the nicotine. I still use my 510 batts as spares when my Riva dies on me. They are fine to start out with, IMHO. I really don't consider it a waste of money because later when you're ready to switch you can buy some eGo or Riva batteries without buying the entire kit. Everything else is compatible. This has been my experience and what worked for me, everyone's preferences are different, especially (it seems) when it comes to vaping.
  14. A Joye 510 will probably be perfect for you. I do want to point out that a pre-filled cartridge is never going to last long, but direct dripping is different than filling a cartridge with your own juice. Instead of cartridges you should probably just get some cartomizers, they hold a ton of juice so you don't have to worry about refilling them as much. Hopefully someone else will pop in here that can help you find a good supplier, I just look for the cheapest deal at the time. Good luck and don't give up, you will be so glad you made the switch.

    Smell?

I'm not sure what anyone else is smoking, but my husband and I smoke some strong fruity flavors. Our friends who vape are always asking us what we're vaping because it smells really good. No, it may not be a lingering smell, but it definitely smells. I did notice the tobacco flavors don't have much of a smell.
  16. I liked Jolly's answer, so I have to go with #4, #3, then #1 in that order.
  17. Raspberry Bubble Gum by juicyvapor.com is my absolute favorite.
  18. Well yeah because they've taken all the antifreeze out of it to put it into our e-juice!
  19. Before I quit smoking and started vaping, I researched and researched and researched until my fingers fell off. I highly suggest that to anyone because I think people should be made aware of what to expect. These are all normal side effects and length of time really does vary with individuals. My friend told me she quit cold turkey once and was horribly sick for 6 months (she went back to smoking eventually). Our bodies are all very similar yet different. We all recover differently. Eventually you will feel great, I think that everyone here that's a longtime vapor (I'm not yet) can promise you that. To be honest I kind of thought they were all nuts in here with all their talk about feeling great, especially when I felt so bad all the time, but it turns out they were right. Good luck and keep on vaping!
  20. It really sounds to me like the dentist was only half listening and only heard "smoking" and probably has no idea what an e-cigarette is. He probably just thought it was a type of analog. Maybe your friend could provide him with some printouts and information. The more professional advocates we can get, the better!
  21. I had absolutely horrible side effects that have just recently begun to go away. For the first few weeks all I wanted to do was sleep also. I think for me it had more to do with just wanting to sleep away all the side effects. What finally got me to quit analogs altogether was I woke up one morning with lung seizures (that's not a technical term, I made it up because that's what it felt like). The Dr. told me it was allergies and gave me two inhalers to use. The inhalers did help a great deal but I still hurt and ached alot. On top of that I had horrible pains in my heart and chest and a constant internal itching (the cilia growing back probably) that was just miserable. Even vaping ended up making my lungs hurt. So I basically ONLY vaped when my husband and I would go out and we were around smokers. With all of that going on I also got depressed which also made me want to sleep more. I was miserable and cranky and unable to even vape most of the time to help with my symptoms. Anyway, for the past few weeks I've been feeling much better and I am now a vaping fiend (just got my Riva the other day and loving it!). The weirdest side effect I'm noticing now ironically is that I have a ton of energy and don't sleep near as much as I used to. It's taken a lot of getting used to because I thought that I loved to sleep before. I could literally sleep for 15 hours straight if I was left to my own devices. Now I sleep 6 or 7 hours and then I'm wide awake. I'm certain that all of those toxic poisons were what was making me sleep so much all my life. Oh and my allergies have been absolutely horrible this season, and I wonder if it's because as my lungs clear out a little there is more pollen getting in there? I don't know it's just a thought. No matter, I have no intention of ever going back to analogs. I can't even stand the smell of smoking or smokers now. And I want rosie cheeks too!
  22. Creme De Menthe VG 10 mg by Juicy Vapor. Hate menthol but love this!
  23. Yes! When I'm drinking, vaping is just not the same. I hope that one day I will get there, but I just had to come in here so you know that you are not alone. I think it's great that 99% of the vaping world started vaping and never looked back, but my reality is much different. I have a friend who struggles also. I just keep trying.
  24. I'm not upset about it, I've had it for over a month so I guess that's not too bad for it to die on me now.
