  1. Okay, the last day or two, maybe just one day, I'm not sure, sometimes when I push the button on my Zmax, it doesn't fire it up. Has happened with a couple different tanks, so I know it's not the coil.

I'm wondering could be caused by me dropping it, or is the button just bad, and how can I figure out which one it is? I mean, I don't want to contact the vendor and work on getting it exchanged if they are just going to get it, discover it's from me dropping it or something, and charge me $75 for the replacement.

And for the record, according to hubby, it was not in my hand during any of my three seizures, so it didn't go flying. It's only been dropped a couple times, and that's just normal dropping, not flying out of my hand. Like, getting knocked off my desk.

I don't really think that there is such a thing as "normal dropping" when electronics are involved. I knocked my original ego twist battery over on my desk. It didn't even hit the floor. It just fell over. It stopped working after that. It was totally my fault.

I don't think that it would be fair to go to the vendor for a replacement, when you haven't properly cared for the item. That's just my option.

  2. I started getting gurgling and leaking into the connection area towards the bottom of the tank, so the coil around 2mm silica without a flavor wick isn't working for me. I'll continue using the 2mm flavor wick on top of the coil until I can get some 3mm silica to experiment with because I never have problems with that configuration. It works equally as well with both KPTs & EVODs.

Thanks so much for the follow up. I should be getting my wick & wire on Tuesday. I'll let you know how it goes.

  3. See my title...

I have loved/hated zombies since I was 6 years old, when I saw "Night of the Living Dead" in a drive-in.  Yeah, had interesting baby sitters when I was a kid.

I have a nice little cache of weapons, but guns are secondary.  You will run out of bullets, I have 2 custom hammers (yes, custom designed and hand forged out of 4140 CroMoly High-Carbon steel) ththe first is 4 ft long and has a head with a flat side and a straight spike (4") that will not stick.  I have, in one swing, split a 4"x4" post in two and will go through 6ga. plate steel.  My smaller is about 18" long, short, thick spike and a faceted head.  It will crush a kevlar helmet like an egg and will pierce a kevlar vest.  Will get photos this weekend, we are finishing up the handles this weekend.  It is good to know a bladesmith who makes full combat weapons.

    zombie hammers?
  4. I have been using 2mm silica to wrap my coils onto, and then putting another 2mm "flavor wick" on top. I do this because a single 2mm wick doesn't seem to fill the side wick slots completely and I've been afraid of the excess gap promoting leaks. I think I'm going to try 3mm wick next time, though. That should fill the gap without having to add another piece of wick on top.

How's the 2mm with a 2mm on top working for you? What do you use that configuration in?
