I'm going to hunt down a DIY clone of BB. AlienVisions is always closed. AlienVapor is a forger (is that the proper term?). It's time to roll up my sleeves.

Just press the button a few times before attaching your atty/clearo/carto and it should be good to go. We do that anyway, without thinking about it, just to make sure it charged okay and is working okay. One should always err on the side of caution. It doesn't take much to take the edge off a little eGo. -
They're cheap enough to replace, if they do. I am like most of the users, and have dedicated one atty to just the Pluid. So far, my Richman is aok and it has insulators in the post area. (AGA-T-+ reDo/reModel atty). I haven't tried the AGA-T with it... shoot, I don't even remember where I put it lol. I'll have to hunt it down.

Great review of a controversial product, Blu! It's good to know they have come down in prices, and that a few of the flavors are enjoyable. I feel the same way as CE. If it weren't for Blu's advertising, the other companies riding on their backs wouldn't have it very far. Advertising is expensive, which is why their product was. We owe a lot to that company. Shoot, I just might have to buy a kit now, to show my support.

Their prices are always low. MadMurdock won't have it any other way. It's not a juice for the avg beginning consumer. You have to have glass/pyrex or Stainless Steel tanks. The o-rings of your contraption have to be out of condensation harms way. It's a beautiful Green. Food coloring is controversial.(use at your own risk/judgement) It's a super strong Black Licorice/Kiwi/your guess is as good as mine flavor. Try not to vape it 24/7. But, if you're ready, you can order it at VapingWatch. If you hurry, I think you can still make the contest in time. There are other flavors available too, all of them MadMurdock's crazy concoctions. 710 and Maha Raz seem to be a huge hit. Oh, and you'll need a blunt syringe, for taking it out of the glass bottle and inserting it into your glass tank.

AlienVapors??? AlienVisions is the original maker of Boba's Bounty, Gorilla Juice, and others. Have they changed their name and website?

Oh, and while we're on Battery safety, I'd like to add: NEVER ever leave your battery operated anything inside a hot car, or in direct sun. It's that time of year again, when things overheat, especially batteries, dogs and Grandmas. -

The link to the burnt IMR photos, takes me to Old Soldiers thread: Copy/pasted for immediate review: Please Note: 1. Shorting out a safer-chemistry battery in the pocket or purse can create a fire. These batteries can supply tens of amps when short-circuited - there is one that can deliver 70 amps. YOU MUST SWITCH OFF YOUR ECIG USING A MASTER SWITCH OR REMOVE THE CARTO, when putting it away in a purse or pocket. 2. Loose batteries must be placed inside a safe, non-conducting container where nothing can touch the terminals. A metal case is not ideal. 3. All well-known batteries are extensively counterfeited now, and this applies especially to AW and Tenergy. All AW batteries sold on Alibaba are counterfeit. Fake batteries are dangerous. Me: KNOW YOUR VENDOR!!!!! RTDVapor rocks!! I only buy from them. There are others too, of course, but I'm paranoid with chronic CRS if I remember right. -

I'm with Rixter, the only batts I've heard of exploding were where NON-rechargeable batteries were charged (totally blond moment for that person I tell ya), and when 2 batts were stacked but not used in series. ANY battery is dangerous when fresh off the charger. It's the Vaper's rule to use batteries that are at least an hour off the charger, hopefully more. With that said, here is what the link you posted said. Copy/pasted for immediate reading: Current advice So that is the basic information we have at this date. As a result, the following advice can be given at this time: For ultimate safety, use a single-battery mod. For high-voltage, use a single-battery mod with a booster circuit of some kind. No APV with full electronic control has been implicated so far, so statistically these appear safe. You might want to play safe, though, and consider one with gas vents. Use the best and most expensive batteries you can get. It doesn't seem worth it to economise on batteries. Our opinion is that, at this time, the AW IMR 'red' cell has the best reputation. It is a lithium-manganese 'safer chemistry' cell that does not need the integral protection circuit a Li-ion cell needs. Although these have never been known to explode, no lithium battery, ultimately, is absolutely safe: they will certainly meltdown with plenty of heat and flame if abused; and if they were sealed into a perfectly gastight container, and then made to fail, an explosion might result under those particular conditions. We know that using a two-battery metal tubemod is intrinsically more dangerous because these are where the explosions are. Using such a unit without large gas vents seems to involve the highest risk. You should think very carefully before buying a metal tubemod with no physical safety features. APVs need safety features because nobody really knows what battery they have, you just assume it is what it says on the label. But there are a whole lot more Gucci handbags out there than the factory ever made. Lots of people think they have a Gucci handbag but they don't. So, you may think you have two AW cells, but they could be cheap clones with counterfeit labels. And they might not even be Li-Mn cells: they might just be unprotected Li-ion cells. APVs need safety features because users make mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes. If your safety depends on never making a mistake, then you are not safe. APVs need safety features because the battery condition may be faulty but not have been noticed. Some owners don't even own a meter, so we know this is going to happen in some cases. APVs need safety features because batteries can easily be counterfeit. Fake batteries will be the cheapest sort, and most likely rejects. The label may say 'Tenergy' but no one can tell what it actually is. APVs need physical safety features because electronic ones might fail. That's what electronics does. And according to the most basic law of engineering, it will fail at the worst time in the worst way and in a chain of failures. People who say it can't happen aren't engineers and should not be building consumer products to be used in front of the face. You should think very carefully before buying the cheapest batteries you can get, then stacking them. Especially in a metal tubemod. And especially in one short on safety features. Batteries all have a C Rating. Don't use batteries with a C Rating below 2 amps (2,000mA) as they ARE NOT up to the job. Bigger batteries are safer because they can handle the heavy load an atomizer puts on them. No big battery (i.e. an 18500 or larger) has ever caused an explosion. All batteries can meltdown and cause a fire if faulty and/or abused. DON'T put an APV in your pocket or purse with the atomizer connected or the master switch (if fitted) on; or along with keys and change. Adapters can be treacherous, so be careful - they can short out. With that said, I bolded a few of the sentences. Of note, is one that I meant to investigate but never did, so with the pleasant reminder to do so, I will do it now. ARNIE, is your mod VENTED? (sorry I never got a chance to take a look at it) -

That's an interesting post. Did the battery go KABOOMY or did it get hot and melt it's surroundings? Did it also have an add on fuse attached? (shortstop, or resettable, or bug,) Here's an ECF thread I took to heart awhile back, and still consider it of great value. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-issues/254690-protected-batteries-vs-imr-safety.html (please read every post. Noted is a few blurbs about AW-IMR with a safety fuse...) Also, here is a FAQ taken from the Battery University: http://vapcentral.blogspot.com/2010/08/battery-faq.html and Here is the Battery University: http://batteryuniversity.com/ ::: off to find some more fun links:::: -
They come engraved, but I wouldn't hesitate to have one engraved, that's for sure. The Tree is the icon signature for Vape-mods, a guy who makes amazing ePipes and stems (drip tips that you don't drip through, they're called Drip Tips out of habit, not out of function. They're just mouthpieces really). From Germany. The Graffiti style signature on the Nahual RBA (a reBuildable Geniesis style atomizer with SS tank) is the icon signature of the genius creator, Urqiduez, from Arizona. The Nahual is totally different from all the other genesis style RBA's out there. (to date). The Celtic Uma was a special surprise gift from the makers of the Roller Mod, who designed both the Mod and the special engraving.. The Roller Mod was a special gift from a super poster friend who was so busy during the Olympics he couldn't keep abreast of the goings ons in the vaping world for the year, and when I posted the video on the Roller, he just happened upon it that day, loved it, and bought one for him and one for me in appreciation. (even if it weren't an extra sentimentally special mod for me, it would still be my most favorite of all the mods I own, just because it's perfect for me). From Greece... egads, or Italy!!! I should go look that up. LOL, I can't believe I'm drawing a blank. (oh yes I can). Long story short... Thanks!!

I haven't kept track of them, but I believe they are to be released soon to various vendors. Here is a site I found that says it will update as info is attained. http://www.ihybridmods.com/Products.html -
LOL, it's not too hard in the country. The cold beers snuggle nicely in the spring water runoff. (or creek). The fresh veggies and fruit stay nice in the clay pot fridge. Clay Pot fridge? Yes.. easy peasy, and something every city dweller can have on hand for brown outs and so forth too. Take a huge clay pot, (whatever you can afford)... fill the bottom with sand, insert a smaller clay pot, fill the wall space between the two pots with sand, wet the sand down, place your veggies in the clean smaller clay pot, cover with a damp/wet kitchen towel, place in a cool spot. The new Coleman Igloo Xtremes will stay cold for 7 days or so. Sometimes longer, depending on the weather. Ice cubes and marqureta mix ... I missed. Dreadfully missed. But, I appreciate those things even more so when I visit others. Oh, and the kids live close by, just a few miles away, so we use their fridge/freezer when there's room. (freezing ice packs). The dogs get the leftovers... I do ramble don't I. lol. But, everyone needs a Backup plan when the Main plan flubs up. LOL, I saw you got th 115ml!! Good for you. It's good stuff. (ya either love it or hate it). Wednesday?? Yippy!!! I bet I won the Triple tokens ROFLMFAO!!!

Hybrid Elite Mod by Rainbow Heaven
Uma replied to Rixter's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
ummm, no thanks. China is still trying to master the regular attys they clone, ... the hybrid is way out of their league. I imagine it's riddled with frustration. For a few dollars more, you can pick up the iHybrid Pure by Faceless... He knows what he's doing. -
It's a pretty one, and it's affordable. It's also chrome plating... which means, you don't want to use it for very long, because chrome has a tendency to flake off, peel, and you don't want that in your juices. But, it's probably a good one for playing with, for learning the ropes. I think it's a Vision Eternity clone, which is a clone of something else... But, some say it's better, some say toss it and get a better one. I've never tried it. Let me look for a vid.. Here's one. But be sure to watch a bunch of vids, to get a truer idea of truths. My disclaimer. The only RBA's I highly recommend are solid Stainless Steel, or Titanium ones built by trusted Modders who know Kitchen grade SS from cherynoble recycle material. Modders who know what they're doing with calibres and planning the distances of holes and stuff. But, the clones are great for short term practice.

I can't, I can't! Not until I splurge for a backup or two or three... back away, and nobody get's hurt!
-
Sweet!!! Now you're rockin' the house!!

Great review Rixter!!! I caved in last year and bought one. Still haven't braved using it, for fear I'll break it lol. I wanted to wait until I had a backup for it in case I couldn't live without it like the others who try it. I wish we could send them in for free and have them rebuilt lol. If the Zombies ever take over, you're all set with your RBA's and know how to use them. Try SS Cable wick yet? (twist together your kanthal, like rope looks). That's the next best thing to the hh 357. I'm with you Imedic, I don't much like the RDA's either. Silica and I just don't get along.
-
You got that right!!! yep, and a few other chineese fu fu words at that.
-
It is so worth it! Thanks. It should be okay in the fridge too. The only problem with fridges, is the cross contamination from fridge smells.... left over liver and onions might make the peach joose taste/smell a bit funny the next time you take it out. Well, it certainly was before God's helpers turned up the heat to cook a few Grasshoppers

Let's keep track of the ut'oh's and rut'roh's that we hear about okay, so we'll know how they're holding up. (I so want to recommend these). 1. the bottom pulling out when removing the usb cable. A little super glue and all is good. 2. same as above. (so far, 2 people that I know of have reported this tiny fixable issue).
-
It's not for beginners, Patricia, so don't worry about trying to understand it yet. Here's the same pic with descriptive terms to help grasp the overall idea though. (the button is on the opposite side, face down, at the moment, hidden from view, just so I could show off all 3 engravings... the tree on the VapeMods pipe stem Drip Tip, the graffitti handwriting on the Nahual RBA, and the Celtic Uma on the Roller Mod. ).

I keep mine in an igloo, on the cool floor. Until lately, I haven't had a refrigerator for over 6 years. (just igloos, with ice packs only when it's super hot outside, and one battery running igloo that worked for about 4 months). All my juices have been fine. They're in a dark, cool, spot. The top of your closet might get warmer than the bottom, but if you have children, and not a locked box, then the top is the best place, yes. The pantry cupboard stays cooler too, I guess because of all the coolness of the cans? So yes, a cool dark place, is best. On really hot I'm so melting in the heat days, I put ice packs in the cooler... and the nic base liquid for DIY in the new (yay!!) fridge. Just make sure the sun isn't hitting it. My black purse gets extremely hot super quickly, so I don't keep very much in there.
-
I know right, and it will be so nice for the purse, keeping all the liquid in one pouch away from batteries and stuff. I'm picking up one or two too when I can. I'll keep an eye out for a 50ml.. that would be great for the igloo wouldn't it! Or in the fridge. I don't like to carry larger than 10ml bottles in my purse, because they'll cook when my purse is exposed to the sun. I don't mind wasting 10ml. OH, that reminds me. I also use those little key chain bottle buddies for the 3ml sample size bottles! I carry a spare Cell Phone Battery in one, 3ml samples in another, spare 14500 batteries in another. A lot of Vendors carry them now. https://www.rtdvapor.com/online-store/accessories/battery-cases/nylon-battery-case-w-carabiner-detail
