  1. Yesterday, I got my Ego Tank (Which I love) and My husband and I made a nice midlife crisis purchase of an Dodge Challenger (Which I really, really, really Love)

serious power and I really love the Hemi engine :unworthy: . Mind you, This is technically My husbands car, but he is in Hawaii 3 weeks out of each month....:innocent:

We even went for the retro orange color. This beast is really amazing. I am completely a truck/4x4 type of girl and have never had a use for cars (until now).

I'm thinking my next purchase needs to be a radar detector....

Definitely qualifies as a midlife toy. RED, SHINY & FAST :police: YeeHaw

  2. It was good to read the original post again.

This is something all newbies should pointed to when they first join us and something all of us should reread from time to time.

I've gotten pretty lax since I first joined and have not been contributing like I did at first, but when I read something this good, it gets me charged up again.

  3. Unfortunately, my wife doesn't let me use (HER) stove or (HER) kitchen for that matter, so I can't comment on boiling.

So being the innovative guy I am, I use an empty 50ml plastic bottle, ream out the top so a 510 atty fits snuggly, thread side in, and use it to flush out the atty when the burnt flavor shows up.

After blowing out all the water, I find that if you flood the atty with juice and blow it out a couple times, it seems to do the trick.

It may take a few times to break them in again.

This works well enough for me, hope you find your method.

  4. Hey everyone.

Does anyone remember the name of a mod that looked like pieces of pipe(Plumbing)

It was pretty pricy, and you could build it with a reservoir. I think it was something like the Gmod or something like that.

Trying to find a unit my truck driving brother could use since he can't drip and drive or have to prefill a bunch of carts.

He's using the ego right now, but the one I'm thinking of would allow him to fill the reservoir and drive on.

If I remember right, the pieces were made of brass and you bought different pieces to accomodate different batteries.

This was abot 8-9 months ago that I saw it somewhere.

Anyway, if it sounds familiar, shoot me line.

    Thanks all

  5. Any additional feedback on the Precise would be appreciated. New reviews or follow up.

I do like the slimmer ecig as opposed to those big fat fattie mods. Don't care about vari-volts.

Been using it exclusivly since I got it and couldn't be more satisfied.

Added a drip tip 3 days ago and now I'm only doing direct dripping.

As long as I have have plenty of batteries I have no worries.I get them from http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.36026

It is slim, but has a good solid weight to it.

  6. i have seen alot of questions about cleaning and when to clean atomizers and cartomizers. so i thought i would help.

    Very nice vid Ben.

Just wish I could say WEEKS when talking about attys.

For me it's only DAYS :veryangry:

I know, keep em wet and don't dry burn.

    Use only JOYE 510's.

I've tried everything. Maybe I just vape too much.

I vape more than I used to smoke.

    Oh well, that's just me.

    Good job.

  7. So I've seen this mentioned before, and don't know what it's about? Why do you have to do it, and HOW do you do it? I ordered a couple of new atomizers a while ago, and now seem to be needing some help!

    Patty

I got this advice direct from Janty USA.

I do find that the darker liquids seem to get more carbon buildup than the light colored ones.

They also warranty the Dura for 6 months.

They replaced the one that stopped working already.

Personally, I can't get one to last for more than 2 weeks.

  8. Very nice review Ray tks.

Good looking unit wish he's make it in 5v.

Thanks all. Not much of a writer.

Snuber:The Super Six can take 2 batts. He just lately started recomendig due to the batts that exploded.

  9. Well, thought I’d make an attempt at a review.

This PVD is for users of the 10440 battery only. It will ONLY work with “Protected” 10440’s.

I’ve been using the Precise for a little over a month now and I must say I’m very impressed with it.

It is completely mechanical, so you don’t have to worry about any components breaking.

It is a well made piece and as the name implies all parts are made to precise specs.

The weight is only half an ounce heavier than the Spade and is about half an inch shorter.

I bought mine with brass ends for the looks.

The feel is very reassuring; the operation is smooth and “precise”.

Having the button on the end may seem a bit strange, but it feels very natural and has a very easy throw.

With the recessed end, I haven’t experienced any accidental firing. I carry it either my shirt pocket or in

a Mag Light holster in my front pants pocket when I’m working.

This unit comes with a 3 year warranty, but I believe it will last a Lifetime.

As long as you can buy 10440’s it will never let you down.

It uses the 510 atty, but also comes with an adaptor of your choice.

    510 to 801 or 510 to 901.

Battery life is dependent on the battery. Good batt, good life.

    Good atty, good life.

I have noticed that it does push in the center post of the atty, but since I use this exclusively it does not present an issue, and you can use your finger nail to raise it back up if needed.

All in all, I’d have to say that this is the most reliable unit on the market at this price.

  10. I'm sticking with 100% mechanical.

Mods are pricey and componets burn or wear out.

Batts and attys are reasonable compared to packs of analogs, so if the mod lasts, you'll be able to save in the long run. IMHO

Of course, I'd be willing to BETA TEST anything :innocent:

  11. Ouch you took it apart! Jeso will love that lol. Vaprlife offers an out of warranty option. They will repair and refurbish any broken unit for $30. Just purchase the option on their site and send that sucker out. Jeso usually gets the unit fixed pretty quick. He'll also replace any worn out parts.

Hey, I didn't have any parts left over like I usually do when I work on my wifes car

And I can still do multi laser pointing :laser:

But I will send it in for a retrofit as sson as I can.

In the meantime I'm using my 510pt waiting on my Precise from T-Man.

  12. Glad everything is working out! Not sure how I missed this post :)

Sometimes the center poll on the custom units will go bad (under warranty so not an issue) but most of the time those batteries are the real culprit. You just can't find 3.6 volt batteries in the states. China is our only option :(

But battery junction is awesome! Rather than sell the batteries at mark up I just send everyone over to Battery Junction. Win win for everyone :D

@Chris-I think if mine was under warranty(Purchased in Dec. 09) it's not anymore. When it quit working, I disassembled it as much as I could to try and fix it myself( :construction: )Bad idea. :censored:

I would like to send it in for a refurbishment if I can, I'll need to know the cost first.

  13. Okay,

    Here's what i did

    have

    2 adapters (1 never used)

    5 batteries (2 totally charged)

    2 510 attys

    4 901 attys

I tried every possible combination. Not an easy feat and yes very time-consuming.

it is the Spade at fault here.

I did see the adapter guts were pushed in and found the adapter totally comes apart.

used Spade with new adapter with 4 different 901s

used Spade without adapter with 2 510s

got the same results every time

lot's of light, then with a slight twist when the atty or adapter makes contact with Spade -- Voila!! Lights go out. not a thing, no power soon as contact is made. With a slight twist to release the adapter or atty and -- Voila!! Lights go on!!

Gotta be the Spade --- wadaya tink??

Did you ever get your Spade fixed?

Mine died at the worst possible time.

I was down to 2 batts and 1 atty.

Ordered 8 batts from China(3 week delivery)and 6 attys from madvape on 4/16.Spade DIED on 4/19 in the morning(Hate Mondays), attys arrived that afternoon. CRAP!!

Luckily I had a 510 P/T to keep me from buying a pack of analogs.

I'm using that exclusivly right now.

Going to order a Precise From T-Manufacturing tomorrow since I have all those 10440 batts and the Precise is totally mechanical, no parts to fail.

I'll probably send the Spade in for a refurb when I get a chance.

  14. Personally, not to knock the creativity of modders, I prefer to use the ones that are actually Marketable. They just look better and tend to be slick.

Besides, I'm LAZY to the MAX.
