  1. Actually, I was only thinking about the implications of having Wall Street on the bandwagon. If there's enough money to be made in e-cigs,

then I think the FDA would lighten up some. You know,"Good for the People"(that run the country).

  2. I think you made a good choice with the 510PT, Ray. It's wonderful and it will cover you in the power outage situation, plus, if you have battery problems, you'll still be able to vape. That should give you some time to let your credit card gain weight. I've thought of everything I can think of to keep myself covered for all situations, problems, and emergencies. I think it's a good idea to be prepared.

Between my spade and the PT I should be set for a while.

If I run out of juice, I guess I can always try vaping my peach water

  3. Well I made an after Christmas gift for myself...

    I bought:

    1 Car charger

    2 AC chargers

    7 Cartridges

2 Manual batteries 1 red and one green led

    5 Atomizers

Next up on my list a whole truck load of VT liquid

I just ordered a 510PT and bought a combo AC/Car charger. Now I have the power situation under control.

Now I gotta let my credit card gain some weight before restocking essentials like carts, atty's and liquid.

  4. I have been reading up on Li-ion batts to find an alternative source for them and have learned there is no memory effect, but fully discharging or over charging will kill the battery. That is the reason for the "Protected" batteries sold with various units. They stop working before being fully discharged. Haven't been able to find a source for the protected 10440 batts other than here at VT & dietsmokes. I'm assuming the 510's,901's, etc. are protected.Just make sure all contacts are clean and you should have no problem.

  5. You have to be old enough to remember Abbott and Costello, and too old to REALLY understand computers, to fully appreciate this. For those of us who sometimes get flustered by our computers, please read on...

If Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were alive today, their infamous sketch, 'Who's on First?' might have turned out something ADMIN EDIT: Super long quote edit to save space

    CAN'T STOP LAUGHING,,,,,,,,HELP

  6. Since I got my 510 about a month ago, I rarely put it down, hehe.

I try to make myself put it away for a little while but a 1/2 hour or so passes and I am dropping a couple more drops in it. I was a heavy smoker. I am expecting the novelty to waer off and hopefuly vape alot less. I am currently burning through 2 bottles of fluid a week, maybe even more it is hard to tell because I like to try so many flavors.

I have not had an analog since recieving my 510. At $8.75 a pack I refuse to give big tobaco and the CT government any more money from my addictions.

Just tried that Auto Drip trick with the spring and the wad and it works great.

Think I'll drip at home but use the Auto when driving. With 11 drips per cart, that would last me from job site to site.

Lots of useful info here. Wish I would have found this place sooner.

    Thanks all

  7. Happy Birthday !!!!!

Hope you get a birthday package, at least not snowing right now--more tonight--yipeeeeee (heavy sarcasm)

Where you from in colorado--just being nosey.

    Lisa

Got it at noon. WOO HOO!!!!

May go stand out in it tonight and vape away.

    I'm in the Springs.

Are there many Vapers in Colo. ?

Your the 1st I've heard from.

  8. May be to soon to tell, but anticipate being a pretty heavy vaper. Definatley a heavy vaper when at my computer. Once I start playing with carts, I'll most likely be a heavy vaper on my way to work and back (45 minute drive). At work today I was surprised that I didn't vape as much. However, to borrow a term from Jeff B, I "stealth vaped" in my office today. Nothing heavy or conspicuous, just an occasional hit. Maybe spreading out the nic like that kept me satisfied. Time will tell. :) Really odd thing about not smoking at work today is that I didn't drink nearly as much coffee as I normally do. Can't explain that one.

    Starbucks and Dulcis, dynamite combo.

  9. There is nothing I would recommend to clean up the scratch as the unit is anodized. It just wouldn't look the same. If it bothers you enough to not enjoy the unit then please send it back and I'll replace it for you :) (Just send me your order number)

As for the black caps, I'll look into getting some created and perhaps send them out to the members who request it. :)

Just got mine today and have used it for about 30 minutes total so far. Gotta work you know:)

Sleeker than jet, lighter than the Smoking Anywhere unit.

Hits very well even before it's been broken in.

Love it now, but the Black battey cap with the etched spade would be the iceing on the cake.

Let me know when you get them.

  10. Yes a Joye/Janty/Slb atty will all fit the spade. The Janty looks better because of the gold band on it. If the atty is a 510 atty, you won't have any problems. Unless you just have bad luck with an atty, I don't see you going through them at any major rate.

You are now entering the world of vaping. Calm down, sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!

    Cool.

Now if the Postman just shows up today I will have my birthday present.

    Snowing like crazy here.

  11. Yes there are many variations of the 510, the one that people will refer to as "genuine" will be made by Joye. All parts, genuine or clone, should work together without problems. Most of the suppliers here will sell 510 atomizers, the spade uses a 510 atomizer made by Janty, which I believe Vapor Talk is supposed to be getting in so you will be able to purchase them through here.

So both the Joye and the Janty 510's will fit the Spade?

    Guess I'm worried about compatibility.

  12. With analogs running you $80-90.00 a month, I'll just guess and put you at around half a pack a day. That should also mean that you won't vape heavily, so the atomizer may indeed last you a lot longer and juice as well. $50-60 a month should be very do-able, you're problem may be that you end up enjoying vaping so much that you vape a lot lol.

But honestly, if you vape like you smoke, you will stay within your cost range easily.

Actually It was about 3/4 to 1 pack a day and with this cheesy starter kit I have I TRY to vape away the the withdrawls, plus trying to

get the hang of it. Dripping, or carts, Dripping and driving, etc.

I understand from Chris's video that the Spade uses the 510 atomizer, where do I get them?

Seems I've seen more than 1 brand called the 510 or am I mistaken?

  13. An atomizer will last me for three weeks tops, it will vape for about 4 but after three weeks its not a good vape anymore. I reorder when I have two left in my stock. I try to order as many as I can because the 801 Low Bridge attys are hard to come by.

I direct drip, With the 801 I drip 3 to 4 drops and get about 7 to 9 good drags. The vapor will start to taste Burnt or Nutty or Metallic, that is when I know it's time to drip again.

That is an OK way of doing it, just don't over fill it because it will leak.

Ask in the Suppliers forum about their juices or just post a topic in the General E-Cig Forum Area

We really mean it when we say we want to help, so don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have.

    Oh MAN!

    I'm expecting my Spade tomorrow.

I thought the atomizers lasted longer than 3 or 4 weeks.

    How much are they?

I see you guys talking about the 510 & 810 but no Brand.

    Where are you geeting them.

I feel like vaping is a cleaner way to get my NIC, but I was expecting it to be a lot more economical than analogs.

Analogs ran me about $80.00 - $90.00 a month just for me, plus the wife has to smoke B&H Deluxe Ultra Light Menthols that run $65.00 a carton every 2-3 weeks.

Think I'm going to stay under the 50 - 60 a month cost????

  14. Richard Simmons...That is a scary thought!

The Dulcis is a very good juice, my second favorite. It's sweet and carmeley with a hint of tobacco, but not too sweet.

The Midnight taste just like Wrigley's Juicy Fruit Gum, really sweet, really good.

The Dulcis leaves that carmely aftertaste in mouth for quite a while and makes me crave the taste as much as the NIC fix.

Any suggestions for a good all day flavor? Tobacco maybe??

  15. Hey Ffreys

I've been smoking for 30 plus years and I got the 16mg with kit.

It didn't feel the same as a cig,but did keep the withdrawls to a minimum.

I just got some 24mg from VT and man what a difference.

I don't think I'll need to buy a backup pack of "Analogs".

Now, if they can just come up an e-M&M I could quit those also.

  16. hey hey welcome, im a noobie too. those questions answered above helped me out without having to ask them too wooo lol

im a little excited tonight because i get to order mine very soon im so sick of regular cigarettes with this FSC on the paper its tearing my throat apart so this is going to be refreshing. im getting the joye510 or the janty dura c with some extra liquid.

question though if ive been smoking reds for my entire smoking life will i need ecigs with 16mg or should i just smoke those and refill with 24 or higher?

  17. Just ordered the Spade and should have it by Monday{ 53rd birthday} Can't wait.

Dulcis is the first juice I ordered and am using it with my 1st unit. BAD IDEA!!

Dulcis tastes sooo good, now all others will be measured by that.

I thought Vaping was fairly uncommon, but it seems there's a whole culture out there.

Reminds me of the 70's and the other smoking alternative.

  18. Thanks everyone for the response.

I feel I sort of wasted 130 bucks on my 1st ecig, but then again, learning something worth while does usually have a price. I have been holding back getting one because I wanted to actually see one and try it first.

The guy at the mall didn't seem to be very knowledgeable.

He tried to tell me that a 50ml, bottle equals 600 packs of ( I LOVE THIS TERM!!!!!!!) "analog cigarettes".

    That's 60 cartons for $20.00.

Found it to hard to beleive.

I won't bash the brand, but there seems to be a lot of dealers overpricing their stuff.

    Thanks again

  19. A newbie here.

I'm wondering about the measurement of the nicotine. For example, I bought 3 10ml bottles of juice at the 24mg strength.

Does this mean there are 24mg's in the bottle or is it per ml,per drop or per draw.

I've seen places that offer 50ml bottles at 24mg. Is that 24mg's in the 50ml bottle?

The strength is per ML. So in this case it would be 24mg per milliliter. If you had a 10ml bottle it would be a total of 240mg.

Also curious about the claims that 1 cartridge equals about 1 pack of cigs.

This is a complete lie. One cartridge will only last about 3-4 cigarettes max. Your best bet is to purchase bottles liquid and refill the cart or direct drip. Info on direct dripping can be found in the FAQ section of the forum :)

How many puffs would equal a normal cigarette?

One cigarette will normally give you about 7-10 puffs depending on how you smoke.

Is 1 draw of an ecig equal to 1 draw of a cigarette?

If the model you purchased is good, then yes it usually is. Although you have to keep in mind that vaping is a little different than smoking. You'll see what I mean when you get your ecig in the mail. When vaping you take long slow draws where as on an analog you take short hard draws. Either way you'll adjust in no time.

Oh, and welcome to the forums :D
