  1. Well I'll have to figure out the source.. Any ideas where to start? Maybe if I post pictures of the untouched battery? (My brother has the exact same eGo from the exact same store and they are 100% identical) Might give some clues.
  2. I will make sure it is made by Joyetech before doing anything else, and will never buy a PV anywhere but direct from manufacturer. Online is better, at least you have the website pinned that way! I bought mine at the B&I, which is a sort of strip mall store thing where each store is separately owned. NEVER trusting that again. 35$ eGo which blew up vs a 60-70$ eGo that doesn't... Worth it.
  3. I do have pictures of it AFTER the explosion, which aren't with me, but I will post them when I go back home. My brother has the SAME eCig from the same place, so I can take pictures of his and post those as well. After the thing blew, I called him immediately and had him unplug his, which was plugged into his computer. Would be bad if that caught on fire, too... I'll post them tomorrow around 5pm PST (GMT - 7) or maybe sooner.
  4. How can I find out? I looked at Joyetech's site and the starter kit for eGo is IDENTICAL to the eGo starter kit I have. Is there any other things to check to see if it truly is a Joyetech? Edit: If it IS an eGo by Joyetech... Is there anything I can do to pursue them in making them pay for their faults or, because it's a Chinese company, are they void from USA lawsuits/settlements?
  5. It did NOT overcharge the battery. That much is clear. I hadn't charged it the night before because I went to my Aunts housewarming party and it died there (which SUCKED because it resulted in me relapsing to analogs), and so when I got home I plugged it in immediately. Explosion occurred within 15 minutes. I'll test the charger to see for sure but the outlet was fine afterwards and it didn't trip the breaker either. Leads me to think it's the battery. If it WAS the charger, I don't see why it would matter, really, since it's also an eGo charger.
  6. I will look into that. It looks identical to an eGo battery, but better be sure I suppose.
  7. Hello vapers, I was just wondering who the creators of Joye eGo are and where I can contanct them. The only site I could find was ###### Are they the makers of Joye eGo?
  8. To all users of the Joye eGo starter e cig, I highly recommend you to stop using it! Last night, after less than a week of use, I was charging it when the battery BLEW up and caught my living room carpet on fire. My son(8 months old) was less than a foot from the explosion. I'm taking this to the company that makes the eGo ecig and getting an attorney as there is no way it was anything other than a faulty battery. Proof is that even the charger is undamaged, while the battery is a charred mess. Be safe, fellow vapers.
  9. Yeah I'll definitely start with small recipes until I find something I like Gotta make sure I write the recipes down as I go :P
  10. Oh okay so I just gotta decide if I want more vapor or more flavor. Hard choice but I'm a flavor guy So I wanna get PG based Nic, VG, PG, flavors, especially sweeteners. And obviously the tools used to mix the eLiquid. I hope I'm not missing anything cause tonight will probably be shop night and I wouldn't want to miss anything! :P
  11. Oh well I'll just splurge and buy both I'll use the calculator when I start mixing, and so you use VG based Nic right? I'm damn careful around kids they don't know any better and I'll make sure to leave extras in a dark area I have a nice walk in closet that is typically cool and dark, so I think that will suffice
  12. Yeah I understand it's lethal I've heard stories but in my own opinion, I can use it one time safely. Get child lock caps (like 20 cents each cap) and gloves when working with it, and it should be safe. I have a 7 month old, so I won't be taking the risk multiple times I'll probably cut to 48mg/ml to be safe. Kit: I don't have an android anymore, I only have iOS. And so I should just get VG standalone but not PG? Oh, and Kit, thanks for linking me to something that accepts paypal btw! You thought of me
  13. A good friend of mine has had some heart issues in the last couple years, not from smoking, but this is a reassuring article I can show him to get him to make the switch to eCigs! Great article to give everyone peace of mind that they can vape without worry of heart disease! Thanks for sharing. Edit: My favorite part of this article - "Previous studies have found that the electronic devices would have to be smoked daily for four to 12 months to achieve the levels of nitrosamines, a carcinogen, that are present in a single tobacco cigarette, the researchers said."
  14. I had to choose all the reasons! What reason is there to stay with analogs in comparison? I feel bad for the people who won't make the switch. First of all, and the main reason I'm vaping, its healthier. My health is something important to me, being that I'm still pretty young, and don't wanna screw my whole life up with lung cancer. Yes, vaping is more affordable. I live in Washington, most cigarettes are at least 6.50$+ for a pack of smokes. However, there's an Indian reservation here (Puyallup), and I would get these smokes called 305's, 30$ a carton, but they got busted by the feds (tax evasion) and now only sell King Mountains, 40$ a carton. I typically won't smoke those things through an entire carton, too harsh, so I had to switch to Newport Reds which are 8$ a pack. That's a lot of money even though I only smoked about a half a pack a day. I'm in love with the flavors of eLiquid so there's another reason. You know why else I prefer vaping? I found you guys because of it I know, it's cheesy
  15. Thats too bad man. Vapings much better, tastesbetter for the Vaper, and smells better to the non-smokers Oh and healthier. Good luck this time. I smoked 2 analogs in the 2 1/2 days I've had the PV which I'm disappointed for sometimes the temptation just doesn't go away. We're all here for ya though!!
