  1. I have to agree that in general the USPS tracking is awful. But that said my packages arrive quickly, so no big deal really.
  2. That sucks, but as you pointed out the real problem is the batteries. Hopefully more people can recognize that.
  3. Throat hit (that tickle that makes you cough) is generally associated with the nicotine content, so yes the higher nicotine juices tend to deliver more throat hit. As far as the acclimation period is concerned, vaping will dry out your throat, and some people find that the PG based liquids irritate their throats more than the VG based ones. It's really just some trial and error for the most part. Just stick with it and eventually you'll find the products that suit you the best.
  4. Great link. I just started really getting into mixing my own juice and have been looking for some good high nicotine content base that isn't overpriced. They offer free shipping on orders over $60 so I picked up a 5 pack of Joye 510 attys. After the 10% discount code they provide for VT Forum users I got my 30ml of 100mg flavorless PG base and 5 X Joye 510 attys for $60.28 shipping included. I'm really looking forward to giving this stuff a try and will post my results after I play around with it a bit.
  5. ditto I feel like I need to clarify my point a little more. All major news networks suffer from the same flaws. Ultimately they are all businesses run by people with personal agendas. Don't trust any of them, use multiple sources and research of your own if you really want an accurate view of any "story".
  6. No need to feel stupid Nana. I'm merely suggesting that what you described seems way out of the normal in my experience using the VP-PT. So much so that I would personally be worried about the safety of the device. I've never had any kind of spark when connected or disconnecting my attys. While 5V @ 2A is not really a life threatening amount of electrical current (unless you have a heart condition) it's still something you need to investigate further.
  7. Just like Fox was for the previous administration.... Again I think there is a need a conservative news network along with liberal news networks, but "Fair and Balanced", come on, who are they kidding.
  8. Yeah, I see what you are saying. But if you really had a spark big enough to burn your clothing when you attached your atty that is something you need to look into further. Sounds extremely unsafe to me Nana.
  9. Hey Nana, something just got me thinking about your problem. In my head if it sparked when you attached the atomizer you either had the button pushed in and were supplying power to the atty when you attached it, or your PT may be stuck in the on position, causing it to melt your carts. Seriously, contact Chris on this one. I'm just guessing here, but it sounds to me like you may have a bad unit.
  10. I just pop the tips off of the white part of the cart. Where did you get your carts from?
  11. Holy Sh*t! It actually sparked? I have never seen that happen myself Nana. You are correct however, they recommend removing the atty before disconnecting or reconnecting the power supply. As to melting carts... I really just direct drip on my VP-PT, but today I'll toss a cart on it and see if I can replicate your issue. Might wanna' ask Chris or Jeso this question, seems like it could be serious.
  12. OMG Fox news is the worst. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that there isn't a place for a conservative news outlet, but enough with the cocky and ignorant reporters just talking trash for the sake of of talking trash. I'm not even going to get into idiots like Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity...
  13. It absolutely is thicker than PG, it even seems to me that it helps when I direct drip because the juice is less likely to just run through the atty if I overfill a little.
  14. I have also been cutting my PG juices with VG over the last week and I really like the added vapor production from the VG personally. It does slightly diminish the throat hit, but I really prefer my juice to have some VG in it now.
  15. I think my worst was cherry and menthol... nauseating.
  16. The way I see it you potentially waste juice with either method. With dripping you will occasionally flood, with carts you will waste what is left over in an old cart when you finally throw it away. There's obviously more to it than that, but all I'm getting at is as people are saying find what works best for you. I like to drip about 70% of the time. But I still use carts when dripping is less than convenient (mostly when driving, though I've been dripping and driving lately too). There are also some cart mods that users swear by, just keep trying till you find the right solution for you.
  17. After reading some forum threads it seems you just have to bore out the battery chamber as you said above. I didn't see any mention of changing the electronics themselves in any way. It does seem however you need to watch for the 1000 puff cleaning cycle as at 6V it can melt a cart. I'm sure you have read this thread as well, but just in case this is where I found the most info- http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/53998-dse905-6-volts.html
  18. I have to agree with that statement, I had a couple attys that just weren't performing well at 3.7 volts anymore and at 5V they seem to work fine. I also like to use my VP-PT to break in new attys, they seem to break in about 5-10x faster to me.
  19. I have a buddy out in Jersey I recently talked into giving it a go. He decided to jump right in with both feet and purchase a VP1 from DietSmokes after I told him about my great experiences with the VP line. I think his unit should arrive either Thursday or Friday and I'm hoping he'll start dropping into the forum from time to time. Unfortunately I think many of the lower quality units have put some people off on the product all together, I'm really hoping he loves his VP1 so much that quitting smoking will be that much easier for him. Keep up the good work of spreading the word gang!
  20. Not bad, I think I may have seen that before when browsing mods but never really checked it out. The price isn't too bad. My real question here is why does it specifically not work with the BE112 atomizers? I know Chris has had issues getting them to work with his 801 units as well, but I never have. I use the BE112s with my VP1 and VP-PT with absolutely no issues. In fact I think they work as well as any penstyle I've tried so far. Seems like people are a little more into the BE112s on the e-cig forum board, and not so many people have experience with them here. Can anyone tell me why the BE112s are incompatible with various 801 mods (I ask because I have ordered quite a few and they all work like champs for me)?
  21. You want more throat hit... step up your nicotine content or possibly get a new unit. What model are you currently using? As to the Glycerol, I've used USP grade Vegetable Glycerin, has a slight sweetness to it, but I don't think that is what you're referring to.
  22. Yep I agree completely. I'm also weening myself off credit at the moment. Cars are all paid off, so here's hoping they hold out long enough for me to set aside more money for another one so I don't have to finance it in a few years.
