  1. Glad to help. As I will not be available Monday and have no access to a fax machine I fired off an email. I fondly wish they listen to us all! Dear Sirs and Madams of the Assembly, It has come to my attention that you are yet again trying to ban the e-cigarette, in keeping with the State New York's policy to tax, spend and oppress its residents. As a resident of New Jersey I am keenly aware of the mass exodus of the best and the brightest of our taxpaying residents to more Libertarian locales. I am a e-cigarette user as are many of my friends and family members. I grew sick and tired of the smell and expense of smoking for 20 years. Don't get me wrong- I liked smoking and had no desire to quit, I just wanted options that didn't involve nicotine infused duct tape or a vile tasting gum. I have saved quite a bit of money and no longer smell of despair and cigarette butts. I cannot wrap my head around why New York State would want to ban the e-cigarette after imposing draconian measures to tax tobacco out of existence yet revel in the cash cow it represents. In this day and age the people have grown weary of politician's promises, while pontificating in front of the nearest camera 'it's for the common good.' We don't all need nannying. Legislation keeping tobacco, e-cigarettes and other adults only consumables is fine with me. Children don't know what is best for them, whereas adults do. As it stands now, New York have more pressing matters to attend to, like the fiscal apocalypse of public employee pensions and the potential municipal bond disaster that awaits both our states. Why not use this time with your brand new Governor to fix whats really broken before attending to what is not? In that vein, I respectfully request you all toss out this unnecessary and Liberty infringing legislation. With kind regards, Shannon [last name omitted]
  2. I cannot say that I am the least bit surprised...the cesspool of governmental tyranny known as New York has or is in the process of banning anything they can't make serious tax dollars off of. The state is rapidly heading toward insolvency. A pack of cigarettes is about $10 in Manhattan, there is a ban on trans-fats and a table salt ban is in the works. Joyfully- the good people of NY also have the ability to ignore these types of legislation since they have voted in these clods and supported the accompanying bureaucracy that comes with it; they can be as anonymous as they please since it will take eons to find them. My dearest wish is that the good folks of New York state finally stand up to these bullies and vote them out, demand better of their public servants. In the meantime NJ, CT, PA, MA and VT are a short trip away, we welcome your patronage and your money. /caffeine fueled rant
  3. Do you also have a diy ry4 recipe using Capellas?
  4. I was wondering where the thread went! Thank you Moderator for putting it in the right place. Do have your friends and family send their comments to the FDA- even and especially the non-vapers who were witness to the benefits we experience from this nifty product. Every comment of support keeps us vapin happy!
  5. I received this from the good folks from ECigExpress, and am passing this along: As you may or may not be aware, electronic cigarettes are at risk of becoming banned. The FDA is accepting your comments for consideration in some pending legislation. If you have issues with the electronic cigarette being banned, we encourage you to visit http://www.regulations.gov and voice your opinion on the matter. The FDA will accept comments up until December 28th, 2009. Let the FDA hear your voice, and together we can keep our beloved e-cigs!
  6. The 510 mega battery is great. Buy 2 and its likely you won't need a pcc. 2 batt's and I'm good for 12 hrs of semi heavy vaping.
  7. I have gotten to the point I started asking the suppliers I frequent/trust to send lots of extra business cards then hand them out to the curious.
  8. Happy Vaper in Ontario sells e-cigs, DIY flavorings, parts and supplies...but no nic in their juices.
  9. I'm about average I guess. A 3ml bottle of 24 mg lasts 5-7 days depending on the flavor. When I start to chain vape, I switch to a flavor that tastes crappy- that seems to keep me in check. I did notice I don't eat as much and lost 10 lbs since I started vaping.
  10. Don't give up! I started getting discouraged too, but then I realized they only have the power we lend them. Vote the bums out, replace with new bums, vote them out too. Until the charlatans realize we mean business and they work for us- not the other way around. Its not about left, right, republican or Democrat...its about us. You aren't alone, many of us feel the same way.
  11. I laughed...then realised I live in the Peoples Republic of New Jersey :sad face:
  12. One thing you should keep in mind when going for the traditional look and feel is that you may get hassled more for smoking, since it looks so much like an analog. That being said I use a black w/purple LED Joye306 from electronicstix, but I am getting a shiny red 901 next week. The 306 is just about the size of a "100", it does require frequent recharges, so have at least 2 batteries, and 2 atty's and a bottle of 'niquid' since prefilled carts don't last very long. The better vapeshops sell the starter kits with 2 batts & 2 attys [along with other various goodies] for $50-70. Basically a little research goes a long way to making a happy vaper.
  13. I started vaping last weekend and I really like the sweet aftertaste, so much so I got Cotton Candy niquid from electronicstix . The sugary sweet is so much better compared to the hobo's bunghole funk caused by analog smoking. I just spent the last 5 days cleaning all manner of tobacco riddled despair from every surface in my apartment.
  14. Damn, now I have O Canada stuck in my head. So long Henry Repeating Arms jingle stuck in my head for 2 weeks, you've been replaced!
  15. I just got mine today (I saw the Lad's review on the Joye306 from electonicstix.) Not only was the buying experience awe inspiring, but their video review also showed me how to use the darn thing. I am going hell for leather on this quit smoking thing, without the actual 'quitting'...so far so good. On a separate note...is it normal that the vapor tastes like candy? I didn't order candy, I ordered camel-like stuff. [Not that its a bad thing, tasted pretty good]
