  1. I'm currently using Boge 2.0's and want to try another. I've heard the Smoktech 1.7 Resurrector is decent. I have been wanting to try either a dual coil or LR with this device. I am not happy w/t flavor I'm getting w/t Boge...I have tried at least 15 different juice flavors and I get no real distinct taste. I boil for cleaning and it hits the same...time for a change. Anyone w/a 3.7v device got any suggestions?
  2. "There are some top players in the business who understand bottling standards and property packaging, but a lot of the USA juice that is hand bottled and packaged is not sanitary and that can be the next big problem...to all vapers out there, if a bottle shows up and the label was printed on a ink jet printer, don't vape it...packaging tells us everything!" This was from the owner of a US vendor on a radio program last night. I've received some juice that makes me agree with this statement. Slapped together quickly, poor quality. He also said, "There are people in this industry that need to get the H*#* out of here!...when they [FDA] comes after us, take the [power] away from them [by being upfront about everything]." "In the long run, the companies who are in this because they love it will be around while the others [fade away looking for a quick buck]." This guy seemed like the real deal. Passionate about his product. Upset that there are others in his business that are not as committed to quality and shipping ethics pertaining to USA juice vendors.
  3. This will give a little steep time as well. TVR has that great 1st time buyer deal and the free 3ml w/every purchase so about to go there next. Looking forward to the review.
  4. WOW...that switch looks small! Good job.
  5. Keep us posted! This is serious. Happen in one state, happen is fifty.
  6. The only reason why I passed on TVR was 100% VG based. I didn't read well, because they also have a PG/VG blend, so I will try them. Good cust service...I am always impressed w/someone that can ans email, unlike Madvapes who might have the worst juice around. They need to stick w/selling stuff and let the experts make stuff. jmo thus far after trying 7 assorted flavors...only licorice was decent. The rest, like blowing air.
  7. Can't have this much fun w/t stinkies now can ya! Nice job Mega...see what happens when you're snowed in? I dig your little lab set-up...Dr. Mega. If this vape thing takes off, I'm seeing a reality show in the works! VAPE MODS on FX
  8. Can u elaborate more mega? I haven't soldered an electrical box since doing an R2D2 in high school electronics class. When I was soldering this, the connections to the horn switch were the red wire coming from the + end of the battery and the LED/resistor seen here; As I put the hot end of the gun on the legs, I waited for the solder to melt, but it took a few attempts. I did wonder if the resistor heated up too much in the process. I did not use flux, but should have read this before to increase success the first time. The real issue for me was the size of the box...very small and I have large hands making it a challenge to get my fingers in there to manipulate fittings, especially the step of wrapping the LED wire around the 510 connector...that seemed impossible to me once the connector was inserted. See pics for these steps if interested. $8 box kit...it is the little box that could...hits hard, looks cool, and with some creativity you can paint it up like a Van Halen guitar!
  9. yeah it's twice as expensive as the bio-engineered crap, but the taste makes it worth it I am tending to agree... Try the EC Blend Blueberry cream...I would definitely order that again. I miss it. That's a good sign right. Thanks for the mentions...that is what I am sticking with now, forum member reviews. Taste is subjective, but good is good in most cases. tvr 555...from who? link?
  10. I've actually thought about this if the government cracks down and starts taxing us like the stinkies. What if the big tobacco co's found a loophole and vaping had to go black market? DIY folks are in the game!
  11. Summary on the "cheap" juices thus far...ya gets what ya pays for. What's the point of 10 5ml samples that are like blowing hot air? Flavor so far tucked away it just ain't worth it. That's how I feel about most of the juice I've ordered. Exception being Vermillion Kentuckywood Blend...that's the real deal if you like the "wood" flavor and the Elite Vaporworks Blueberry Cream. The dog tank; EC Blend Madvapes BlueMist Give me my Mistic traditional flavor please! Best tobacco I've tried. I'm done with the cheap juice...movin' on to the higher rated vendors based on forum reviews.
  12. Now that would be good news! This morning it was very moody, this afternoon it feels more broken in and works consistently. I was about to undo the hot glue (that was some fun reading...anyone got a hot drier). I will say, this little box packs a punch...900mAh battery...has to be one of the best deals out there for $32 if you build it yourself w/2 batt's, charger, 5 carts Boge 2.0. Hoping the Madvapes juice gets better, thus far, only the licorice and root beer have any real personality.
  13. I have a ohm meter...not sure the benefit at this point. After an evening with this kit, the real problem lies in the horn switch connection. I have to push hard upward on it to get a solid connection. The solder joints were in tact before gluing. Good advicemcquinn...one down more to g. It was only $8 and when it works, really bangs out hard, so I recommend it highly. Anyone with the skills would crank this out. They do need to update their instructions on the LED ends...they make it look like any end will work with the resistor...not the case...must be the longer end which is hard to discern because it was cut at the same length. I have the battery (2) 900mAh and charger with 5 new Boge 2.0 carts...and some juice (steeping better add flavor because they are very average right now). Being stubborn, I might order another and try again. I hate a little black box to defeat me! If I do order another, anyone want the one I built? I'm sure one w/skills can fix it quick...that is if the hot glue can be removed.
  14. Thanks...got it to work, just can't screw carto all the way down. It was the LED...flipped it around and worked. The light changes color...red to green...quickly before I am done w/t drag. If I keep dragging it works OK. I wonder if it is getting full power. The battery lead did not fit well into the slot...and the spring came loose... sort of dangled. Can't figure how to fasten it back on...tried soldering it to stabilize but didn't hold. Due to my stellar hot gluing, the unit is solid rick now so no trying to fix and I fear if I mess w/t battery wire it might break. Better left alone...it does work pretty good...and I have a bad habit of playing w/things until they break.
  15. UPDATE: Thanks to a member, it is fixed. The instructions did NOT say their is a polarity with the LED light...I switched this connection and am in business! Was SUPER pumped I got my Madvapes 3.7v box mod kit in the mail today. Here is a pic of the box mod; Mrs. P's Math Zone!: Box Mod Stumped as to why no power...charged the battery and all solder joints seem in tact. Now, SUPER frustrated... lil help?
  16. MadVapes 510 box mod kit (unassembled) w/a load of juices. Kit was only around $32 w/everything Mtbakervapor.com has 236 ml unflavored for $35 and flavoring (wide selection) for $3...should save $ and get the perfect blend.
  17. I would like to give this away to someone who has just gotten into vaping and has never experienced using a mod before. Amen...how about out of work as well...
  18. Good advice...newbi myself as of two plus months and off stinkies. I started on the Mistic e-cig...read a lot in forums...and graduated to a 3.7v box mod I am making from MadVapes. Cost about $35 with shipping. Can't beat this price. http://www.madvapes.com/510-Box-Mod-Kit_p_2608.html It is true, pay me now or later. Go for quality...or you will pay more for *** and tat items that add up quickly when you should spend $ on JUICE! PM people for ideas.
  19. Great news Jeddy...I just got back from the UAE...lots of Pakistan folks I met there.
  20. Build your own...madvapes 3.7v...costs under $30 for everything but you probably have the extras. 3.7v "fog machine" for under $20...then you can go into the juice review biz...whatever you don't like give away, trade or start your own contest! Here's the contest question... Who has the best 60's TV avatar?
  21. At 100% VG, for all those who usually get a blend of 50/50 or 70/30, are you satisfied? They have the best introductory offer...free 3ml and 15ml for first purchase. Good cust service as well.
  22. Cherrywood & Applewood Forgot about this thread. Bottom line with these liquids is a like for the "wood" flavor...that is a predominate. If you like this wood flavor, you will enjoy both the cherry and applewoods. There is not a strong fruit flavor in either of these, it is subtle. Neither of these are what I would call sweet as well. This is more an adult vape...all three of these blends are very nice and smooth for me. Recommended.
  23. So what exactly is the difference between the REO 3.7 and the madvapes mod kit? As mega said, "all box mods look pretty much the same inside"... Curious.
  24. Rock on...see what happens when you get some sleep! Enjoy and keep us posted on how she performs...what juice ya givin' her as well.
  25. I am thinking about making the 3.7v kit. Just need to find a soldering gun. Curious...evidently you are not fully satisfied w/your 5v box or why look elsewhere. I hear the REO is excellent if you like the bottle type boxes.
