  1. Haha I have VG coming out of my ears now I bought some from the pharmacy but not knowing if it was vegetable I bought stuff from ebay too 500ml for £6 inc postage, but I had emailed the producer of he stuff I got fae the chemist, they replied telling me it is vegetable I pad £2 for 100ml, plus I have the 38ml of cake baking stuff too! so NIC liquid is all I need now.. lol your opinions are still important tho, so check out my other and leave a post. Thanks for your help. Keith
  2. lol, that is a fair point on the price, I am about I suppose 50-60pl per ml, but I think controlling the NIC contnet myself will give me more control, and help me reduce the ammount of nicotine, hopefully. Vaping is not a permenant replacement for smoking, it is just another attempt after a succession of failed NRT and cold turkey attempts to give up smoking. there is still an argument for cost cutting since all NRT in Scotland is completly free, my wife who gave up succesfully cold turkey when she realized she was pregnant, wonders why I pay for e-cigs. She doesnt complain though, she is just happy I don't stink of tobbaco now when I come home, I'm pretty sure my baby boy prefers me not stinking of fags too!
  3. Hello again Vapors. Can somebody help clarify for me the actuall meanings of Nic strengths in e-juice? My understanding is if it is 24mg juice, the that means there is 24mg nicotine per 1ml of e-juice, so a 30ml bottle of e-juice would actually contain 720mg of nictotine. is this correct?, and if it is can anyone explain to me how this is translated into a percentage? Thanks in advance Keith
  4. Hi all. I am asking what your opinions are on which e-juice base you guys prefer. I am looking to DIY all my juices from now on, main reason is because, most sites seem to price thier juices per the ml regardles of strength. So I don't see the point in paying for 30ml of juice with less NIC for the same price as one I can dilute and get extra juice for the little extra cost of some VG/PG and maybe some flavour. I hear VG gives better vapor, but reduces throat hit, I want better vapor but I still want a decent throat hit. My 1st juice purchase was 24mg Tobbaco flavoured VG juice, which was deffinatly too strong (flavor & nic), So i diluted a small amount to 14mg with Glycerine (the baking stuff, didnt say if it was VG), but it was too week and too sweet, so i tried some more at 16mg, this seems to be a good nic strength, but still just a little bit sweet. Also with the thick Glycerine sometimes doesn't wick quite quick enough to keep up with heavy vaping. So this has me thinking, maybe I should buy PG based NIC then cut it with VG, so a little best of both worlds.. maybe. Also I was wandering if there is issues with wicking could a little distilled water added to the mix, help with that? hope to hear from you all Keith
  5. sorry you said cartos! thats cartomizers not cartridges... sorry I'm still a noob!
  6. That is the same e-cig I started with the same model goes by several model nos, I bought it from digismoke refills are here, I would say though, I bought the cig from here and it came with 10carts, but they were not sealed and were all dried up, and i did not get a satisfactory response from the site regarding this (just a warning). After figuring out this was the problem, I managed to source some carts locally they were intended for the intellismoke e-cig, but even tho they were a little loose on occasion, they still worked well enough to get a good vape, and if they were too loose I stuck them with a a peice of rizla, not ideal but it kept me going untill my riva and e juice arrived. the same cig on mostbuying.com and here is your one on the same site, and the same carts.
  7. yes I got my starter kit and first ejuice from LF, they do not give much info away about there flavours tho ie: oil/ water based. UK site doesnt have as much choice as US site either, especially with e-cigs, they don't seem to have any joye stuff at all, thats why i chose the riva 510 (750mAh) because it is compatible with most if the joye ego parts, so it's upgardable! K
  8. I found a pharma supplier on ebay 500ml PG for £4.99 +postage and VG £2.99 free postage, I bought a small bottle of the cake making stuff (DrOetker Glycerine, says suitable for vegetarians) and tried it last night works a treat using the calc suggested on Kitsunes and diluted to 14mg, flavour was fine but had some vanilla extract just incase it was too bland, although I did find 14mg a little too week but i did only mix 1ml to try it. BTW one pharmacy did have Glycerol, it was bottled as a throat syrup, pharmacist thought there may have been other stuff added, and she had never heard of PG! I think I'll get some of the ebay stuff cheers keith
  9. Thanks guys that helped! cheers Keith
  10. Can somebody tell me the differance between Vegetable glycerine, and Glycerine? I have been to every shop in my town and i have found Glycerine in most of them, but no VG. I am hoping it's the same thing, as I need to dilute my e juice. I have a 30ml bottle 24mg juice, and was hoping to dilute to it to about 18, because a few times I've vaped just a wee bit to much and on one occasion actually felt quite a bit sick.
  11. I've decided to go with the riva 510 se 750mAh. I have been using medium carts, and they are fine for me but since all the E juice nic strengths are the same price, I may as well by the extra strong and dilute it with VG and Distiled water (I think).
  12. Yep Mine too, especially last night when she found me in the kitchen trying to get juice from one cartridge and put it in a differant one!
  13. ok I tried a cheapy 708 e-cig from ebay (got payment through before they removed the item), and aside from a little problem with unsealed dried up carts that came with, I managed to get some reasonably close fitting alternative, and I got to do some vaping! And Well I liked it. I vaped in my taxi, I vaped in my works van and my bosses pickup, I even vaped on the ferry, and after that I went home to my wife and baby.. not stinking of stale tobbaco.. and without my wife complaining "you've been smoking!" one of the attys seems to have died, and one of the batts is not holding charge very well ( probably on acount of my impatience in wanting to try it, and not charging for 8 hours), however I still managed to get nearly all of my working day out of one cart and the two batts. So after my "trial" having been a reasonable success, I am ready to take a bit of a plunge, and try something "proper"!, and I am looking at the eGo, just trying to iron out a few dilemas on which one to pick from especially since L-F have one that doesn't appear to be a Joye or atleast is not compatible with Joye bits. Then I'll need to choose some juice which looks like it's gonna cause some questions too.. I might have to read some more of this forum before i come to a decision! thanks Keith
  14. incidentally.. which eGo are you all vaping? there is the 510, ego-t types a & c?
