  1. My two cents is as long as its zero, I doubt the addiction will present itself. I believe when we smoke, we get nicotine and it presents all sorts of queues and physical changes to the brain. Brain says that's good and associates the act of smoking to the hand and mouth. Having said that, I am very comfortable in my choice of vaping over smoking, but no one can promise the juices are 100 percent what you think they are, even if they are, no one can promise vaporizing PG is okay long term, nor the hardware is top notch. I say get some tranqs for her (from a doctor). ;-)
  2. I have the indulgence I was playing with for a while, I only used HV attys when configured for 6V so my thought process was, why bother upping the voltage if I'm upping the resistance. LR attys and cartos for my on an ego...I'm good. Funny as I have a spreadsheet set up with all the combos of batteries and attys/cartos, was going to do a compare of each combination and then, as is typical for me... squirrel!!
  3. Whatever floats your boat! Only issue with VG and cartos is making sure it gets absorbed.
  4. Wordupecig has every flavor. I don't use but people I "lend" stuff to likey.
  5. No idea but I thought they ran a forum that was monitored by some staff.
  6. Just make sure there's nothing toxic in the can, cause canned air definitely ain't air.
  7. You like menthols? I can not tell you how many menthols I have, if you'd like, PM me and I can get a sample pack out to you. If you look at the "I need to vent" thread in the lounge, my mission in life is to find something like a newport for my wife to vape. I have TONS from all over. All 0mg, but it should give you an idea of taste. And if you actually like something, you can get a 24 or 36 and cut it down with the 0 so you don't lose any flavor. I do have a couple of big bottles of V4L Nuport 0mg sitting around gathering dust. I also have some traditional tobacco and RY4 variants I have sitting around with nic I keep for any friends to try. I can't recommend the juices here at the store enough and I do have the tobacco, Dulcis and other flavors including Mentha sitting around as well if you would like to try. But if I were you I would just order some from the store. Apologies for jacking the thread.
  8. LOL. Not sure about the not wasting money part, but I hear ya. ;-)
  9. Okay - I am resurrecting this thread. Today, at the "BIG GAME", Rutgers (wife's school not mine) and I have both of our egos. Wife declares she like my mix. 40% Mentha, 40% JC arctic and 20% dulcis. Of course, I have 11 bottles of new juice from various places for her to try, but she won't. grrrrrrrrr
  10. For starters, try some dulcis and traditional from the VT store right here, exotics as well. http://www.vaportalkstore.com/categories/e-Liquid/ The juices her are fantastic. Wordupecig has some good traditional juices as well. Others will chime in I'm sure. Welcome!!!
  11. A couple weeks into vaping I tried an analogue at a football tailgate. About a year ago. 10 secs after I grabbed a water and started rinsing my mouth out. I now knew what licking an ashtray meant. Then I did it again 20 minutes later (yes alcohol was involved) and I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.
  12. neither should hurt, the 2A will charge things quicker. Things like ipods etc are fine at 500ma.
  13. Yes - fast charger will work with anything. Will not be fast with netbook as it will not have a lot of ma to drive the charger, will just charge a little slower, a couple to three hours instead of the 1.5 or so. I would guess most laptops won't drive the fast charger very well either, maybe a desktop will. USB wall charger will drive it great as will the car charger I pointed to. Point is you need more ma to drive the bigger chargers, less will work, but will take longer. You could probably charge a 510 off the EGO fast charger if connected to the netbook because its basically what is termed a trickle charge. Don't do it though just in case I'm wrong.
  14. Okay - I'm not the best person to be answering, but in my understanding. Any USB charger should work off of any USB source, netbook, wall USB plug, USB car charger, etc. The ma it puts out will dictate how long it will take to charge your device. If you have a fast USB charger for an ego, the 2A or even 1A should probably charge it quickly. A netbook will charge it very slowly even with the USB fast charger. The beauty of the 2A besides helping with a fast charge, is to make sure a straight passthru (no battery) will perform as you vape while plugged in. Something like the USB ego will not really benefit from a larger ma charger as it has a battery. And like a battery passthru, the charger is not driving the atty while vaping, but charging the battery while the battery drives the atty.
  15. Doing good, again, do not worry about "sneaking" one here or there... Very nice
  16. Excellent - and if you do have one that's okay as well. I have to agree not sure I would have gone with those flavors. Maybe try some traditional and dulcis from the VT store?
  17. I would go with a 2A (2000ma) instead of the 1000 or 500. http://www.electronicstix.com/5-Volt-2-Amp-USB-Car-Adapter-5vcarAdapter.htm?categoryId=-1 You should be able to run anything off that.
  18. Funny as its one of the main reasons I didn't try a variable device after seeing you post that. I'm in just a fine place right now with low res cartos and attys. Don't need to go and get spoiled. Though I have to admit still thinking about it...
  19. All knowing google...translates http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=es&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.vapeando.com%2Fforo%2Fviewtopic.php%3Ff%3D9%26t%3D6343
  20. You sir - are correct. If folks need to have the "feel" of smoking to start down this road, then so be it. And yes, most give it up after a short while. But using 510 equipment means not too much will go to waste if they go ego or something else and the batteries are a nice backup.
  21. Should be a very nice unit. Having said that, Bob brings up a point that while we all respect the desire many have to have it "feel" like an analogue, many outgrow that very quickly. The good thing about a 510 unit is the atomizers, carts, cartos, etc. are all 510 threads/sizes. So it makes moving from something that seems like an analogue to an ego or other 510 mod pretty simple, the accessories won't go to waste and the 510 batteries will be a backup in case the new unit go thud.
  22. I think I posted to you in the other thread you have. The strength really does vary from the perspective of what we call throat hit (TH). Many of the light smokers I helped couldn't take 18, they needed 11 or even 6, I was a menthol light and started with 24. That's not to say your addiction might require a higher level but I don't think I've really seen someone who complained about withdrawal symptoms but had just the right TH. In the other post I suggested you might want to stop with the pre-filled carts and try some bottles of juice with the carts (you can reuse them) or cartomizers or direct dripping. There are countless places to get juice including the store here, finding a nice juice is sometimes a struggle. Many tobacco folks are happy with some tobacco flavors (like traditional tobacco here at the VT store), and some go off the reservation and do an all day vape with something totally different (like grape soda or cappuccino right here at the VT store). What kind of cigarettes did/do you smoke? I also suggested this not be an all or nothing thing, if you can't take the 18, get some juices and smoke in the meantime if need be. Having analogues is not a "failure", if something's not working we'll figure it out and push on. Nice thing about all of this is for most folks, once you have it working its effortless. You see us all talking about all our little toys but I don't think any one of us would go back to smoking even if we didn't have all the cute little playthings we get involved with, low resistance cartos, drips tips, variable voltage units, etc. They just make it even easier.
