That's true. You really do notice how bad other people smell. Just walking past a smoker in a store and you can tell in a second. That's something I never knew, or never thought about, when I was a smoker. I've smelled smoke outside a store as I was walking in and was surprised. I didn't know the odor hung around like that either.
