I took out my bridge and my threads, so now all I see is the coil. Everytime I take a hit, I cough my brains out. Does this have to do with taking the bridge and threads out?

Could be that it's just working better? Normally when you remove the threads it either works better or doesn't work at all. So I'm guessing it's working lol.

I guess your right. Maybe im just taking too big of a hit.

I would think that stuff holds more liquid in reserve and you could drip more drips less often without having leakage.There is only so much room in the pot and two or four holes in it.The element is going to get just as hot either way.
