Royce Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 pretty cool, wouldnt call it Perpetual Energy though eventually the magnets will fail or flip polarity and then it wont work, cool though but a lot of effort just to light up a single led since those things require almost no power to be on.
Genet1c Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Just imagine if som1 put enough money into a BIG one of those, prolly impractical, but a ferris wheel size device to power a microwave or some **** would be sweet.
Christopher Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 Well we do have alternators that work the same way.

Christopher Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 Royce's link should tell you everything you know. But in a nut shell it keeps your car going. (among other uses) Most people don't realize their car doesn't run off the battery once it's turned on. They think the battery actually last 3 years doing all the work. That's why if you ever turn your car on, and it's turn right back off again, you need to change your alternator. (Or fill it with gas lol)
