danpio1217 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 So i was cleaning my carto tanks last night, and when i was drying them i noticed that there is some gunk built up around the orings in the caps. It almost looks like sugar. I figured it was just juice condensation that had crystalized or something, i went ahead and pulled out the orings and rinsed it off, but i wanted to see if anyone else experiences this as well as i haven't really heard it mentioned much.
mse12 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I had two smoktech carto tanks that had the same thing. I now use carto tanks that don't use end caps but instead use grommets. I love them! Zero leaking and stronger than the cheap dct caps. I don't know what it is/was. On mine it seemed to be somewhat waxy. Maybe a byproduct of heating the rings up? I don't know.
