  1. i have an eGo, and i started out with standard resistance cartomizers and got almost nothing out of them, then i got a pack of lr boge's and it was much better. if you want a hard hitting, but hotter vapor cartomizer, try a dual-coil lr one, i use those and boge's for different juices with different nic levels, but they both work quite well.

  2. i'm right there with you, i'm at week 2, and the dfwvapor wild cherry is less and less flavorful the more i vape it, but other juices that i didn't like at first are becoming far more appealing. kona cream from sweet-vapes (probably similar to yours), was great 3 months ago when i was smoking and vaping, and it's still great now that i've quit. dfwvapor's chocolate hazlenut used to be kinda gross to me, but now it's excellent. the point is, your tastebuds will continue changing, so keep giving them new flavors and eventually it'll even out and you'll have a couple that you can use all the time. if you want a super flavorful juice, try puresmoker.com's bananaca.

  3. i got my ego kit from puresmoker.com, goodprophets.com sells the ego maniac kit which is an awesome deal. if you go with the ego-t, you'll probably want to order some regular atomizers and cartomizers to try out as well. the vapor talk store and forever vapor are good stores, but perpetually out of stock on everything.

  4. my understanding is that the higher the voltage, or lower the resistance, the quicker you go through the juice. the blu is a low-voltage device, so juice lasts longer. keep in mind that the blu uses cartomizers, which are far more efficient than the atomizer/cartridge combo at using all the juice. pick up a 5-pack of cartomizers and give them a shot as well. anything that says it's for the 510 will work with the eGo, btw

  5. a friend of mine got one of those, vapes it constantly, then goes out for a cigarette. most of the entry-level ecigs are like that, low vapor, low battery life. but hey, if it got you off the analogs, then great!! look into buying some different juices and refilling the cartridges yourself, that could save you some $ plus you'd get to try new flavors. if you do decide to upgrade, the eGo is a box full of excellentness, but the 510 or KR808D are also a good upgrade (i'd probably favor the 510 out of those 2). do a bit of research, ask a lot of questions, watch some videos, there are a lot of ways to vape, a crap-ton of devices to do it with, and a near-infinite number of juice flavors to try.

  6. the conspiracy theorist in me says he probably got paid off by the makers of nicoderm or something to do a bogus study.. but the realist in me says.. if the only negative claim he's going to make towards the electronic cigarette is that it doesn't deliver nicotine, then i just can't see that doing too much damage. even if it is a big fat placebo, and it turns out that the lungs can't absorb nicotine from vapor the way they can from smoke..... who gives a :censored: ? the fact is that they work, i've only been smoke free for 6-ish days, but even if i'm not getting nicotine, my cravings are taken care of, and in the end, that's the whole point.

the gum and the patch have a 95% failure rate because they don't address the behavioral aspect of the addiction, which i would argue is by far the strongest part of it. so while ridiculous studies conducted in a matter that skirts the scientific process in favor of generating a desired result may be insidious, as long as they're not aimed at an outright ban, i'm not particularly worried about them. But i do agree that a real study should be done, it's just hard for such a young industry to commission one.

  7. also, your habits will change, since you won't be lighting something up and feeling like you gotta smoke the whole thing anymore, since you can just pick it up and puff whenever then set it back down. i applaud your vigilance, but i've been vaping for 3 months and would have a hell of a time telling you how many ml i vape per day. i just buy big bottles of juice, and order new ones when they get low, lol.

  8. dont know if dropping names is banned but they where e health cigs and a knock off if that :p

nope, drop away, it seems like most of the entry-level ecigs are old models of joyetech or other manufacturer ecigs that are underpowered and outdated. for example, i'm pretty sure the blu is essentially a joye 302 with some paint on it, lol.

  9. you might want to look at going with the regular eGo first, and then later getting a tank atomizer and some cartridges, reason being, you can try direct dripping and cartridges, see how you like that method. I tend to dissuade people from tank systems, as my personal luck with them has been pretty bad. no leaking issues, but for me the taste was absolutely unacceptable and gave me a massive headache. from the videos i've watched, it seems like people who use menthol flavors like the tanks, and people who don't, dislike them. perhaps the menthol affect masks the burning plastic taste. hell, if you want, i'll send you my eGo-T LR tank atomizer (i can't bring myself to say atty either) and blank cartridges as i don't use them, then you can get a regular eGo kit, and try dripping, cartridges, and tanks (picking up some cartomizers wouldn't be a bad idea either). I don't wanna sound like a commercial, but puresmoker.com sells the regular eGo kit for $50 (it's the kit i started with), I've had very good luck with them, and their prices are generally a bit less than most on cartomizers and atomizers. just my $.02

  10. i think the fact that your sense of smell, sense of taste, and lung capacity come back are strong indicators that it's certainly better for you than smoking, but without the aid of long-term testing, it's hard to say exactly how safe vaping is for you. but when you look at things like fast food and car exhaust, it sorta becomes relative. the dangers of smoking are well known, and the obvious benefits of vaping are reason enough for me to continue, regardless of any unforseen dangers.

  11. yeah, juice is the hard part for me, i've gone with 4 or so different vendors, tried about 80 differend juices, and i've only come accross 5 or 6 that i like, and they're completely different in cartomizers than they are in atomizers.

  12. Thanks all. I'm going to have to do some experimenting when I get home. I'm hitting it the same way I've been hitting it for the past year, with the regular juices I ordered from my original supplier. Literally no vapor comes out at all. I can taste the hit, and it's very very strong, one would expect a massive cloud.

It's got to be something with atomizer I'm using.. it's probably a good month old if not older at this point.

    Thanks again!

come to think of it, i recently had that same basic issue, but it was because an atomizer was dying.

  13. to answer your question, yes, all your 510 stuff, and ego stuff will work with an eGo-T battery, the only 2 differences are the click protection (which is awesome), and it has eGo-T written on it. i have 2 regular eGo batteries that came with my kit, and 2 1000mah eGo-T mega batteries, they all do the same thing, and work with the same stuff, the mega's just last longer.

  14. no vapor at all sounds wierd, even at 100% pg. i guess if you're holding it in for a REALLY long time, it might all be dissipating into your lungs.... who knows. There's certainly less vapor with pg, but not a ridiculous amount. from what i've discovered so far, the difference in mix of pg and vg has a greater effect on the end result of taste than it does on vapor production. certain flavors lend themselves better to different mixes, for me personally, anything fruity needs to be lots of pg, very little vg, or it tastes chalky or a bit like tree bark, with coffee flavors, it's kinda the opposite, depending. i've only had one 100%vg juice that i liked, and it's a coffee flavor. 100%vg will make more vapor than a high-pg juice, but it feels about the same, which to me is what matters. sure i could get my cherry and watermelon flavors in 100% vg versions for more vapor, but they'd taste awful (and yes, i've tried). both of those flavors are just right at 80 pg / 20 vg, and the low vg content doesn't impact throat hit or vapor production in any really significant way.

Try different mixes, find what works best for you

  15. i'm gonna throw in another option, the smoktech dual coil cartomizers, they're 1.5 ohm resistence, so they hit a bit harder than the boge's, and they do change the flavor somewhat dramatically, but with certain flavors, it's a good change, and they're big and hold a lot of juice, i've gone a full day with one full carto. some people don't like these, but i've had good luck so far, just avoid the clear ones, you have to be super careful or they'll crack. I use dual-coil's for coffee flavors mostly, the vapor is too hot for fruit flavors imo, i stick to boge's for fruit flavors.

  16. at this point it doesn't even take the whole song, just the intro and in my head i hear "we're no strangers to loooooove, you know the rules and so.... do i, a full commitment's what i'm thinking of, you wouldn't get this from any other guy, iiiiiiiiiiiii just wanna tell you how i'm feeling....." and on it goes.

  17. i think my favorite thing about goodprophets is all the information they give on every product, most other retailers seem to expect you to already know what everything is and what it'll work with, I've ordered from GP several times after looking elsewhere simply because they explained the products so well
