  1. No they have no legitimate course of action against the small resellers of these "knock-off's" they would need go go after the manufacturers and distributors who are supplying these resale sites.
  2. That would be a great video I know myself and many others who are interested in Janty products sadly there is not a whole lot of info about them floating around... and welcome to the forums parked you are a wealth of knowledge and a welcome addition to our forums here.
  3. Hey phillydes welcome, glad you found us here just starting up and still in the process of building the forum but spread the word.
  4. WOW looks like NJOY has found the ideal platform for cross-marketing their products... get in early and spread awareness before someone does have the time to enforce the smoking ban.
  5. Interesting I wasn't aware that a smoking ban had hit Nevada... good find on the law suit... I somehow managed to "misplace" acrobat on my laptop so I'll have to read through it later
  6. Yeah I'm a bit leary of the Chocolate as well... sadly most artificial chocolate flavoring is either amazing or absolutely terrible, if anyone does try it let us know what you think.

The cigarette and tobacco excise tax are completely separate from sales tax. The technology that surfaced in the 90's that you mentioned was a nicotine inhaler with a tobacco flavor but not nearly as close to an analog cig as our E-smokes do. With multi billion dollar companies like Philip Morris and RJ Renyolds out there there is that threat they will try and buy out these Chinese companies that are cutting into their profit margins. Thankfully there are a few being almost entirely made in the us and I know there are currently a few US patents pending on various E-cigs so the disappearance of the E-cig, in the US at least is unlikely.
  9. Excellent point... to my knowledge there are 2-3 big manufactures of E-cigs most are coming from China and being re-branded by resellers (with a few exceptions of course) but for the most part the minis and super minis seem to be the same thing re-branded and re-packaged Ill have to work on compiling a list of the E-cigs that are identical and re-branded so people can get the best bang for their buck.
  10. Well that really depends i believe that the Marlboro flavor on puresmoker as well as many other sites is modeled after a Marlboro red, before i started E smoking I smoked 27's and a few Camel blends. Personally I do not think puresmokers Marlboro tastes like the real thing I have ordered Camel flavored from wicked Eliquid's US site and will be sure to keep the forum informed on my likes and dislikes of my E smoke related purchases. That having been said I originally thought I would want my E cig to taste like an analog as well but after trying a few flavors Cash Cola = amazing and if you like apple jolly ranchers the green apple is good too, I know puresmoker is offering a sample pack right now 3-4 ml of each of the flavors they offer for 20 bucks I would recommend picking one up and giving the flavored juice/liquid for yourself.

Yeah the 14 million is just from the big tobacco companies purchasing those CA tax stamps on the bottom of the pack heres how tobacco tax works http://209.85.173.132/search?q=cache:4yFEQ...clnk&cd=3&gl=us Heres the rest of the revenue and a short breakdown of how its used General Fund Revenue Cigarette Tax: $122 Million The state imposes an excise tax of 87 cents per pack of 20 cigarettes on distributors selling cigarettes in California. An excise tax is also imposed on distribution of other tobacco products such as cigars, chewing tobacco, pipe tobacco, and snuff. The rate on other tobacco products is calculated annually by the Board of Equalization based on the wholesale price of cigarettes. Revenues from the tax on cigarettes and other tobacco products are distributed as follows: Ten cents of the per-pack tax is allocated to the state General Fund. Fifty cents of the per-pack tax, and an equivalent rate levied on non-cigarette tobacco products, goes to the California Children and Families First Trust Fund for distribution according to the provisions of Proposition 10 of 1998. Twenty-five cents of the per-pack tax, and an equivalent rate levied on non-cigarette tobacco products, is allocated to the Cigarette and Tobacco Products Surtax Fund for distribution as determined by Proposition 99 of 1988. Two cents of the per-pack tax is deposited into the Breast Cancer Fund.

Yeah you have to remember that is just the excise tax (tax paid to bring into respective state) there are more taxes placed on tobacco especially in CA... albeit a bit harder to find a breakdown of the "sin" tax ill see if I can't find it though.

The not being able to tax is part of it... I seem to remember reading somewhere that restricting underage persons from purchasing E smokes is an issue in some areas as there laws prohibit the sale of tobacco products to minors and as the E smokes contain nicotine but no tobacco this could potentially create a loophole and be "legally" sold to minors. **edit** http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/taxfacts/di...t.cfm?Docid=403 US yearly tobacco excise tax broken down by state
