  1. Plus, they saw that every juice - and every vaper - has a "sweet spot" where everything just seems to come together. Flavor, throat hit, vapor production. I would really like a variable voltage mod, and for me that would be a Provari, but for now, like you, I am tickled pink with LR cartos. Question about mod batteries, though. I use the 14500 and a cheap charger I got somewhere. I see the Pila charger discussed, and when I went to look at it, it says it should only be used with Pila batteries. Does anyone else use that charger and is that true? And do you use the high drain batteries?
  2. We REALLY need to have a vapefest in IOWA, people!
  3. Good for you! My kids are all grown now and I can tell you that the things I remember most are the crazy, giggly, funny times - NOT how clean the house was. Yes, we have to keep the public health inspectors away from the door, but giggling is worth a million bucks anywday. Especially when it's followed by some quiet Mommy time with a sweet, relaxing vape session. You are an amazing and talented woman, chica.
  4. I don't know but seeing that makes me want to get a "plain" undecorated Old Goat mod and pimp it out myself. This one is amazing. Then again, when would I find the time. (shakes my head at myself)
  5. Sweet-vapes.com is also on the vendor list here, relatively new here but people really seem to like her stuff. Also, she just announced a crazy new price on sampler packs, which is a good way to try new flavors. I am a fan of Tasty Vapors and their Atomic Cinnacide and Geoff's Blend but he doesn't do sampler packs.
  6. Gorgeous!!! I have a wetbox that I dearly love, with a 3.7 14500 battery, and I use LR cartos on it. Wondering why you couldn't on that one. I know you can't on a 5 volt.
  7. way to go! It's a great feeling, huh? Coming on to 3 months for me.
  8. Good Lord, I just looked and I'm only a little over halfway there. Sigh. Always the bridesmaid....
  9. Spankings! That's it! THAT'S what they do in the Private Forum! I knew it!!!
  10. Hey what do you use on your OG mod? I got a 306 LR but I let my husband use it and he burnt up my one and only drip tip. Which makes me laugh. Since then I have been using Boge LR cartomizers. I know it sounds funny cuz there's no need for a carto really, but it is goooooooood.
  11. I think the yucky taste might be the primer they are sent with? That, and the tank attys generally have to sit with a tank on them for a little bit to get wicking. Check the Tips and Tricks section for a good thread on the Tank. Also I have one on Weekly Maintenance that might help. Once you get the hang of them, I think you will like them a lot.
  12. Gosh I hadn't thought of that. They sure will eventually.
  13. The Old Goat mod I just got has a tube in the bottle that feeds up through the needle into the atty. I use a LR carto on mine, actually. I don't know why - I just like it better. But Aimee, honestly, it is the most hassle free thing ever. It's little enough to fit in my hand. I drive a LOT these days. First to one clinical site (20 miles), then 40 miles to work, then 30 miles back home at night, and I keep my little Old Goat mod on a lanyard when I drive. It's the most hassle free thing you can imagine. And cheap enough to make it an easy try out.
  14. Pfft. I'm a nurse. The syringes I use are just like insulin ones.
  15. Tasty Vapor's Atomic Cinnacide is my all time favorite vape, but I wanted to create it myself. The following tastes JUST like it - and it's a DIY: 1.5 ml 36 mg nicotine juice - 100% PG 0.6 ml PG/VG 50/50 no nic dilutant 0.54 ml Loranns Cinnamon 0.36 mL Sweetener I'm thinking that this works out to be about 90/10 PG/VG which is less than I usually buy (I buy 70/30) and it comes out to 18 mg strength. Someone tell me if my math is wrong? It's 30% flavor which some might find too strong but it really is good!!
  16. :thumbsup:Hey, wanted to let you know I whipped this up today but in 3 mL, just to try it out. Very good. Love the tang mixed with the creaminess of the cheesecake.
  17. I knew SOMEONE Would pick up on that. Mine do fine now that I am not dumping every Tom-****-and-Harry juice in it bvut when I was trying out thicker stuff - not so much. I really think a lot of the problem as well was when I would get leaks, the sticky juice was in the little threads and crevices of the battery. That, and my husband CAN NOT learn to take slow, soft drags. He sucks like he's trying to suck a golf ball through a garden hose!
  18. So, bearing in mind that I have only been vaping a little over 2 months, like most people I spent a lot and tried a lot - hardware, attys, new toys, juices. My very first PV, thank God, was a Joye eGo, which I still use all the time. At least parts of it. I next got an eGo tank because the whole dripping/filling thing got to be cumbersome with driving, working, classes, etc. Awesome idea, by the way, and I adored it. Until the attys started getting gunked up from the bajillion different kinds of juices I tried. Then, not so much. Hard draws, crappy performance, leaks, and finally, pretty much dead. Then I got a Stu's Illuminated Bottomfeeder Box Mod, aka Old Goat mod. I tried a 306 LR atty on it, which was OK, but the very best best best on it is a Boge LR cartomizer. And truly, this is the Nirvana of vaping for me. No hassle, no refilling throughout the day. Just have to remember to bring an extra battery (I am out of the house for 14 hours every day). But I still like my Tank. More importantly, my HUSBAND still loves his tank best of all. So I was talking to Vicki at Cignot.com (who is a treasure, a smart smart woman, and the very best at customer service in the whole world). She also loves her Tank but agrees that they can be a little high maintenance, so she helped me with some tips. So. I take all of my eGo batteries and wipes them down with an alcohol prep pad. I am a nurse so I always come home with some in my pocket, and I wiped down the end, the threads, anywhere that juice might have gotten into stuff. Then I took a page from Erika's post about the "Coke cleaning method". I did it because I knew those attys were truly gunked up and Coke really does eat away about anything. I soaked them for an hour or so, and then I came back, poured some Everclear in a bowl, and soaked them in there to get the Coke out. Attys, cartomizers, empty tanks - anything that had juice in them went through all of this. I took a booger sucker and blew the Everclear through the attys and cartos, and then I set them in front of the fan overnight to dry. This morning, I did a dry burn a couple of times on the tank attys, stuck a clean, filled tank on, let it sit for about 30 minutes to let the wicking soak up the juice, and voila! Flavor, vapor production and draw like new. Only drawback was that I had to get up at 5 am to put it all back together for my hubby - he goes on duty at 6. I know it sounds like a lot, but if using the tank is easy for him and has helped him kick a 35 year smoking habit just like that, and it saves me from having to buy new attys all the time, for me it's worth it. Oh, and I'm also sticking now to juices I know don't clog things up as well - Tasty Vapors Atomic Cinnacide, Geoff's Blend, and Blue Bulls (lol). I get them 70/30 and the flavor is VERY strong and good every time. Hope this helps!
  19. I use 70/30 or 80/20. More PG than that and it irritates my throat. More VG than that, and I don't get the flavor I want. 80/20 or 70/30 seems to be perfect for me in terms of lots of vapor, great flavor and doesn't mess up my atomizers and cartomizers.
  20. I'm so proud of you for getting into DIY again!!! Good girl! And this sounds amazing!!!
  21. So many choices. I think when I started smoking analogs, I just gritted my way through the nasty taste. I wasn't tempted by everyone else's tales of THIS yummy flavor and that one. Or the BEST vaping experience that we all chase relentlessly. I thnk, when you're new at it, you can easily get overwhelmed and meander down a few paths. BUT, on the other hand, I never had as supportive a community as we do here to help me, either. THIS is one of my FAVORITE aspects of vaping!!
  22. Darling, it IS a never ending learning thing. And remember, if we step back, you and I have been doing this for a VERY short time. Trying juices, trying different set ups. It's OK. It would be the same way if you were trying to change your eating habits, or any other major change. I have been thinking all week about settling in on ONE delivery method (waffling now between my Tank and my juice box with LR cartos on it) and ONE or two juices instead of the army of bottles I have all over the place.
  23. Kiddo, get back to just enjoying vaping, and don't be so hard on yourself. I think sometimes we get so wound up in following everyone's new discoveries in new flavors and toys that we forget to just settle back, learn how to make the device we have work for us and our lifestyles, and vape. Every analog NOT smoked is a victory.
  24. Mine is absolutely Tasty Vapor's Atomic Cinnacide. I've flirted with so many others but I do love that stuff!
