  1. Just to confuse the issue, I too smoked a pack and a half a day as well (Menthol lights) and have been in the 12 to 18 range on juice since starting vaping. It kind of also depends on the vendors offerings but I have been happy in that 12 to 18 range. Its going to be a bit trial and error to find the right spot for you.
  2. Within the first two weeks of starting vaping I made the mistake of going to the casino over on the west coast of Fl. A normal night at the casino would have easily been a pack of analogs over several hours. I really wanted an analog very badly when I was there - I made it out without having one but did buy a pack the next day and had one - and it was not very tasty at all. That was it, now I find with each day that passes my tolerance for the smell and the smoke of an analog grows less and less - I don't want to be that ex-smoker but frankly it stinks and its tough to not react.
  3. Must be a fast computer - sorry couldn't resist!
  4. Nope the button area is not sealed (I do not think) so it is possible some juice could have found its way in that way an is messing with the activation switch associated with the button. I guess when I get back home tomorrow I will see if its still flashing away. Thats two batteries down in as many weeks - BOOOO Good think my Ali'i shipped today!
  5. I know - right ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Why yes I am for the most part - why do you ask?
  7. I was thinking of adding that to my next order (next month). I guess that's a done deal now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Check that it's flashing again now, I think this battery stays home when I held out of town tomorrow! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Well hooking it up to the charger seemed to do the trick for a reset, for now its working normally again so for now I am good.
  10. Well good on you! Please don't be so hard on yourself, the entire process is, well a process. 4 packs given the years of pack is really nothing, what matters is you never gave up, you hit a road bump. I am sure you are not the first, and will certainly will not be the last.
  11. So after dinner I went for the eGo for an after dinner vape and saw something odd. As I approached it sitting on the counter I noticed it was "flashing" one flash, then three seconds, then one flash etc. The metal drip tip was not hot so it didn't seem that it was on or activated. I pushed the button and the atty fired normal enough, but then when I released the button it returned to the one flash, three seconds, flash. I have disconnected the atty and plugged it into the charger, and the that has stopped the flashing - at least for now, not sure what will happen when I remove it. Anyone seen this before?
  12. I couldn't agree more - right now my biggest challenge is to use up a bunch of the other juices I have in stock right now before going through all my Sweet Vapes!
  13. So now tapa talk is also in the iPad ! It works very well on the large screen I might add!
  14. Of course none of us are trained medical professionals who have conducted detailed clinical studies so much of the feedback you have so far and will continue to get is anecdotal of course. Like those who have replied before me I feel better, although I am a bit spend crazy, but even that feels good. So far several months in, based on what my body is telling me I feel better, I breathe better, my snoring has decreased (or so I am told) and my friends ask me to blow my vape exhale IN their direction. I also am more social as I am constantly asked about what it is I have there in my hand and what is that "smoke" I am exhaling that smells so good. I have done some reading and there is only limited studies and materials available but based on research done decades ago on PG inhalation I am comfortable that this primary ingredient is well understood and considered largely safe since it is so common in other products. I am curious why your message has such a sense of urgency?
  15. My all day is all things vanilla, so right now I have a french vanilla, very vanilla and vanilla bean ice cream that I find myself with during the day - mornings some coffees and mints and nighttimes I switch towards mentha and grapes
  16. Ah the 100 thousand dollar question indeed. This is a very common question and one that will get you very different answers. Ask what a starter e-cig is and you will hear a chorus of people singing the eGo, ask what blend and or what juice vendor to use and you will get a wide range of answers. Put simply which blend and which vendor are highly subjective matters of taste and you will get a wide range of answers. I have tried 100% PG, 80/20 PG/VG, 70/30, 50/50 and 100% VG in my couple of months vaping, all in an effort to find my correct blend. I am settling in at 70/30 as my preferred blend, liking the balance between throat hit (higher PG) and more vapor (VG). I suggest you read through some of the threads in the e-liquid reviews section of the forum. It will give you a wide range of thoughts about various vendors for juice, but remember taste is so subjective and you will see one person loves one, while someone else - not so much. Sometimes you have to take the plunge and give somethings a go. Just realize one thing - you might well find yourself liking flavors you wouldn't have thought - as a long time menthol smoker I find myself to be a vanilla flavors fan?!? Surprised me, I can tell you that.
  17. It only gets better too as you stay of analogs and your taste buds come back to life.
  18. I took a look at the flavor waves site, and clearly they make flavorings intended for human consumption without processing, if their coffee favors are safe ?? I seems like you could contact them directly and ask - I would think they would answer you!
  19. WOW Reality <<----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> vendor My simple way of saying that vendor is not in touch with reality!
  20. It seems like some pictures would help this thread I couldn't resist using that! Sorry!
  21. Oh five posts isn't a big burden, besides it lets us get to know you some. Besides most of the big dogs here don't bite. Welcome and enjoy the VT space. Personally, I love my nico and have no plan to ween myself!
  22. Congrats, thats a big milestone and every day that clicks off is just as important.
  23. Welcome to the VT forum. As Brian has already made the case for the eGo I will simply chime in and tell you I really enjoy my eGo and find the battery life outstanding for all day vaping! Good luck with the journey!
  24. That's a shame your girl got burned with a knock-off. Hopefully you get get it returned and refunded without too much hassle. In this budding industry it's so important to choose your vendors carefully. I have made a point of trying to stay with vendors with supply sub-forums here or of course the VT store itself. Good luck with the return and let us know how it turns out.
  25. Sorry I can not help with the carto filling, one of the carto folks will be along fairly quickly here to help there. Pulling juice into your mouth - thats a common thing when you first start out, I speak from experience here. As smokers you are used to taking a pretty good draw, with some meaningful inhale power. Vaping doesn't require such an inhale and you are likely, well - sucking too hard! Its a lesson I learned pretty quick! YOu basically just need a very light inhale, bearly more then a typical breath to pull the vapor into your mouth. Now if you are sucking the juice up into your mouth, that could also contribute to getting fewer pulls. You might also want to remove the wick from the atty, it tends to allow for a better cleaner hit. I am providing a link to a You Tube channel that has some great novice videos on it Phee303 has done some great videos and I believe seeing is worth a thousand words. One is even on how to remove the wick. Check them out http://www.youtube.com/user/phee303
