  1. Message sent. This hits very close to home as I will be moving back to New Jersey shortly and it seems that Jersey seems to always follow NY with these types of things. I hope that the response to this is quite large.
  2. So about 3 weeks ago I purchased three bottles of liquid from tastyvapors.us All of them were 12mg and 10% VG without any added sweetener. Geoff's Blend - Cinnamon and Banana with some other flavors mixed. Simply wonderful. When you first vape it you almost feel like you are sucking the liquid out of a straw. There is just a ton of flavor. Vapor production is good. I would have gone with 20% VG if I was ordering again for that extra cloud. There is a nice throat hit to it as well which lasts for a little while, I suspect it is the cinnamon flavor that is responsible for that. This definitely will be a staple in my liquid supply. Not an all day vape for me but a couple times a week for sure. TastyFinger - This one is just ok for me. It really does taste like a butter finger, I just don't care for the peanut butter like chocolate taste. Definitely not a bad liquid, just not my kind of thing. Vapor production on this one is very good at 10% VG. The throat hit is decent on this one but not quite as strong as Geoff's. Mojito - This one really took some time to mellow. When I first got it, I thought that there was a very artificial lime taste to it. I had read that TV juices get better after they sit for a few days to steep. After about a week I tried this one again and I am loving it. Nice subtle minty flavor and the lime tastes more natural. Really does taste like a Mojito. This one has the best vapor production of the three and a decent throat hit but once again not as intense as Geoff's. Overall I am very please with this liquid. The tastyfinger is not really my cup of tea but I think I will just give it to a friend of mine that liked it a lot more than I do. I would highly recommend Mojito and Geoff's Blend and I plan to try some more of the flavors that TV offers.
  3. Thanks for the info. I think I may give an LR atty a go down the road but pass on the others. I really do appreciate the knowledge.
  4. So I have been happily vaping for about a month now and I am really enjoying it. The gadgetry has caught me a bit and I have been trying to learn some more about a few products that have caught my eye. My limited understanding of LR attys is that they turn your standard voltage unit into something that hits more like a high voltage unit. Is that a correct assumption? If so, does it burn through juice faster? Do you just get a stronger hit? Is it more vapor, more throat hit or just warmer vapor? What is the actual difference comparing a LR and standard voltage side by side? Is it a correct assumption that the LR would drain your battery quicker? Onto the mega atomizers.... I have seen this in the VT store but not too much information about what it does. It is bigger, for sure, but what does that actually mean for usage? Does it hold more liquid without leaking (from a dripping prospective?) Last but not least, a USB passthrough. What voltage do they run at? Is there any other benefit than just having something that hits like a fresh battery consistently? Sorry for all the questions but I am getting curious about what to try next. I am going to have to work this into my budget since I am buying new things to try every week with this new hobby :P
  5. I actually had almost the same exact thing happen on Tuesday. I did watch the video once before giving it a try; however, when I was done I didn't think that my atty was hitting any harder. It was just warmer vapor which I don't mind. It just didn't seem to hit with as much vapor as it once did.
  6. I had the same problem when I first got my 510 as well with knowing when to drip. I get more than 5-7 hits for 3 drips, on the last good rip it will have a bit of metallic taste to it, if I try to push it further I don't really taste the liquid just the metallic taste. Since then I have gotten pretty good with knowing when to drip. I think it is something that you just get accustomed to doing.
  7. I purchased my first starter kit from myvaporstore.com a few weeks ago. At first when my Joye 510 arrived I was stoked. I busted it out of the box and put it on the charger right away. After about an hour the charger was showing green so I prepared for my first vape. I tried the carts that came with the unit and it was wonderful. I loved it and it gave me the feeling of smoking like I had hoped. After the cart was done, I pulled apart the tip to make a drip tip and dropped 2 drops on the atty. I was using the Menthol liquid I had purchased. It began leaking down the side, so I wiped off the liquid with a paper towel and didn't think much of it. The hits were ok but I was a little underwhelmed after everything I had heard and read online. There was not much throat hit or vapor production. Just in case, I tried out the second battery that was now fully charged and got similar results. Now 3 weeks out, I have ordered some new atomizers from VT and some Dulcis (delicious btw.) I through on one of the new atomizers and I was blown away by the monstrous vapor and throat hit I was getting with the dulcis. I tried the Menthol liquid for comparison and once again, much much better. Also, no more leaking after dripping. The new atty made a world of difference. Just the other day, a new problem surfaced with my 510. One of the batteries only lasts about 20 minutes. The one battery is about 2-3 hours like I had expected; however, the other is just disappointing. I suspected some of the initial problems could have been due to my inexperience vaping. I have since come to the conclusion that I just received a sub par product. I was rather pleased with the seller initially. They shipped my order the day after it was placed and I received it in just a few days. Everything was included as described and the device is rather clean looking. They put their MVS logo on the device which I actually found rather nice. I am not sure if I actually received a genuine product. Overall, I was pleased with the service; however, the device leaves a lot to be desired. I must say though, I do enjoy the menthol juice that they sent. I have since ordered an Ego from VT and I am anxiously waiting the arrival later this week. I regret that I did not find VT until after I had already placed my order of the 510 as I was very impressed with the service I received from VT. I did not get the e-mail with my tracking number so I contacted their support and had a response within a few hours providing me with my tracking number. The package arrived in 2 days to my house on the east coast with everything as described.
  8. Does the voltage or resistance make a difference with the type of eliquid used? I guess what I mean is, does VG vape better with a higher voltage battery or lower resistance atomizer? Just curious if that really has any effect.
  9. I just used my new 510 for the first time. I tried one of the carts that it came with first and it was surprisingly nice. The taste leaves a bit to be desired but it isn't bad, a bit of a synthetic flavor to it. After 10 drags or so it began to taste a bit burnt. The fabric in the cart was damp at the top, but the bottom near the atomizer was pretty dry. I don't see anything burnt on it, so I am not sure if I was just jumping the gun on thinking the cart was kicked. I tried out the drip mod that Brian posted above after I pulled out the fabric and it was quite easy to follow. Really a nice guide Brian, I appreciate it. The pics made it quite idiot proof. I got a small bottle of some menthol eliquid to try out and it is rather weak. I am guessing that it is just some relatively poor liquid, but I have some dulcis and clove on the way from vapor talk that I look forward to next week. Hitting the 510 reminds me of smoking a hookah back when I was in college at this hookah bar in town. It doesn't produce as much smoke and it isn't as thick but the sensation is similar and the taste is similar. I look forward to the new hobby. The gadgetry alone has already sucked me in. One last question for right now though, how long will dripping 3 drops of ejuice last? About how many drags? I guess it varies depending on how big your drags are, but it seems like it is going much further than I expected.
  10. Thanks for all the info guys, I really appreciate it.
  11. I have been reading around and from the looks of things, it appears that dripping is the way to go with ecigs. I have a 510 that should be arriving later this week and I was curious how dripping actually works. I have seen several videos where it looks as if people are just dripping straight onto the atomizer. I am a bit confused about whether or not a drip tip is necessary. I have seen in 510 videos that you can pull the cotton/polyester out of a cart and drip onto the atomizer. That leads me to believe that my 510 will be ready to drip out of the box. I should just be able to pull the fabric out of a cart, correct? If not, what is a drip tip actually doing? Is either of those assumptions correct? If a drip tip is not needed for dripping, then what is the benefit of using one? Just to prevent inhaling straight ejuice?
