  1. I guess I was pretty lucky with my experiences with the Ego. I couldn't make the switch w/ other e-cigs I tried. Point is, don't give up. Sometimes it takes some time and sometimes a little bit of investment of money to find what works best for you. I know I have shelled out a lot trying different things (e-cig wise) and now I found what gets me through day to day analog free. It's great and the cost factor is just starting to work in my favor now. Also I feel so much better...and to me that is priceless.

I rarely crave an analog now. I would say never but I had an incredibly strong craving the other day and instead of buying a pack of my Marb Menthols, I grabbed my Ego and vaped away. It passed within a minute. I just worry about when I go to visit my bf's relatives who smoke heavy. Personally, I prefer not to be around it. It's a love/hate relationship w/ those analogs. The smell bothers me and I don't want to get pulled back into smoking analogs. I would just vape in the house, but they make everyone go out in the garage to "smoke".

  2. I have bought stuff from Revolver and I never had any problems. I've ordered e-juice and also my Elite from there. I do not use my Elite anymore since getting my Ego(The Elite was too weak battery wise for me but got me very curious about e-cigs)

A VGo is similar to an Ego so if I had the choice, I would give that a try. As for the infiniti Ion, I have not heard much about it. Those Vgo's are always sold out though on the website. Maybe try an Ego?

  3. Yeah this makes no sense. The whole point of vaping is to stay away from analog cig smoke! That is why I don't even bother vaping in public here. I just vape away in my house and my car. Saves me money from not sitting in a bar or restaurant and oh well, they lose my business. Plus saves me all the dirty looks...rolls eyes. All I keep hearing from non-smokers is their fear of second hand vape. Dumb!

  4. So glad they are finally doing more research to prove that these are much safer then analogs! But any ex analog smoker and current e-cig smoker can tell you that they are much safer. I mean in just 3 weeks, I already feel better and have no desire for a regular cig. I feel like I have the best of both worlds...as a non smoker(smelling good, being able to taste food, feeling better) and a smoker(satisfying my cravings for cigs.) :animier:

  5. I just got Midnight from VT and let me just say... AWESOME! I was vaping so much, I nearly got a headache now! oops! :wallbash:

Tried the cappuccino also. Very tasty! Just a hint of sweetness to the coffee flavor. Perfect!

Sweet Dawn....wow, very good! For some reason it reminds me of a jolly rancher. Apple and pear mixed. Really like this!

I will try Apple Dapple tomorrow. It's pretty late here. But so far I'm impressed. I have ordered from a few different places and so far I am very happy with VT's E-juice.

It may be slightly more expensive then some places, but I can tell it is worth every penny!

  6. I love my Menthol from Revolver and from Awesome Vapor. I vape that on a regular basis. I will eventually try VT's Mentha.

I also got to try a new flavor today as a free sample from the vapor room: Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Tasted pretty darn good! I wanted chocolate!

They have an e-liquid sale going on at the vapor room right now. Very tasty stuff so far! Got a sample pack w/ apple, apple pie, vanilla cupcake, ry-4, and Menthol. I'm having wayyy too much fun with this!

  7. For me I got my Joye Ego kit on 11-24-10. I loved it. I still had a pack of analogs left and I smoked 5. They tasted nasty compared to my new vaping toy. The next day(Thanksgiving) I had one cig. Tasted even worse. So after that I hid that pack of analogs and continued to vape. Found myself feeling better within days.....(other then feeling slightly fatigued.) Then I started to notice myself noticing my sense of smell returning and my lungs no longer hurt when I woke up. NO more coughing fits.

When I really knew I was over analogs was when I gave the rest of my(almost full) pack of analogs away a few days ago. Now I don't even miss them. I used to go crazy if I was without a pack and this device makes me not even miss them! How crazy is that? No, it's not crazy, it's awesome! I also find myself vaping less at times I normally would have vaped a lot. This device has made me less dependent. Eventually I would like to vape for fun occasionally w/ little to no nicotine. I just want to say this has been a lifesaver for me. I enjoy it, I don't smell like smoke anymore. I am just so happy to have found something I can enjoy without feeling as guilty as I did before.

I'm sorry for going overboard. I am just so happy! :D

I was a two pack a day smoker. My life revolved around analog cigs for almost 12 yrs. I never want to go back.

  8. I always thought analogs tasted nasty when I first started smoking. I just got hooked on the calming feeling. Then the taste didn't matter because my taste buds were being burnt to a crisp and after awhile you just don't notice it anymore. I even noticed this after quitting and then starting up again. I kept on thinking "why do I even do this?" It's that relaxing calming feeling that goes along with it.

That feeling is what I now get with Vaping. But I have noticed that sometimes my e-juice tastes better then at other times. Other times I'm like eh. That is why I am in the process of switching it up and trying different flavors. I'm just glad I reach for my Ego and not a analog. For that alone, I am very happy!

  9. You will love the midnight !! Its currently one of my all time favorites. the cappuccino is also very good--nice blend of flavors, no bitter.

have you tried mixing a bit of your menthol with any other flavors?? Just a bit of menthol to any flavor is really, really good. enhances flavors and add a nice cool throat hit.

I find I change flavors frequently--the flavors die off if I vape the same flavor for too long.

Good point. I will have to switch up more often. I have already tried the flavor mixed only because I didn't change carts between flavors. Some were actually pretty tasty. I find my first vape of the day to be awesome and then later on, not so great. Good thing I ordered a variety of flavors to try. :)

  10. I haven't tried the VT cappuccino but I have a bottle from Vaperite. It's pretty good. I also have Dulcis from VT and it is really good. I'm partial to the coffee flavors myself... that's what I usually order but I want to know about the VT Midnight. Heard some good reports. Can anyone give me a general opinion of what it tastes like? I understand that taste is objective but I just want a general opinion.

    Thanks.

I've heard Midnight described as a strawberry wine. At least that is what the reviews are saying on the e-juice review page. So I decided to give it a try.

I'm so tempted to try Dulcis... Maybe next time I place an order I will be brave enough to....if they have it in stock. I hear it's pretty popular!

Also, anyone know of a good place to get a spearamint flavored ejuice? For some reason I have a craving for that. The two menthols I have are different. One is more of a cig menthol and the other tastes more like a peppermint stick. I prefer something a little sweeter.

  11. I really hope they don't ban it. I mean I just started and I'm loving it! I also feel better. So many people claim the same thing..

But of course, leave it up to the government to take away something we all love and enjoy and replace it with analogs...which are PROVEN to kill people. Oh yeah and while they are at it, they would probably hike up the tax on cigs another buck or two. :rolleyes2:

  12. Ok, I ordered the VT Midnight, Cappuccino, Morning Dawn, and Apple Dapple. Now I'm just anxiously awaiting my order. Got lots of menthol left and that is my primary vape, but I would like to switch it up a little bit.

The crazy thing to me is that sometimes my menthol tastes really good and sometimes not so good....like almost too strong or not as satisfying. Ever have that where a flavor tastes really good one day and then the next not that good at all? But it will get better again. Just sometimes it seems more tart and other days more sweet.

I was going to get Dulcis and may eventually....but I had a tobacco flavor tonight(a prefilled cart that came with my kit last week) and it seriously made me want to throw up. So the idea of anything tobacco flavored is a turnoff at the moment. I wish I could sample it first.

  13. Hi,

So far this forum has been very helpful so I have a question about e-juice. I am interested in ordering some e-juice from the VT store(because the service is excellent and VERY FAST!) and was curious as to how the cappuccino flavor is? I have only tried menthol, Apple, and Grape so far from another vender. I also tried a hawaian punch flavor and was disappointed. The grape I tried was only so-so. Not an all day vape for me. But I would like to try something in the coffee family. I just don't want it to taste ONLY like coffee and have a bitter taste. I like some sweetness to it. Is the cappuccino sweet?? Also what does the Morning Dawn and Midnight flavors taste like? Any opinions or advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Also, how many ml is in a regular bottle? The one that costs 7.99?

  14. I highly recommend Vapor Renu(www.vaporrenu.com). Their 30ml bottles are only $7.00, and they have tons of flavors and options to choose from. I've never gotten a bottle of juice from them that I just downright didn't like.

Wow, that is a good price! Also good selections. I'll have to check it out!

  15. I got my start up Ego kit from Awesome Vapor and it is great! (They also give you a full bottle of e-juice of your choice.) I have also gotten a few things(attys and cartomizers) from the Vapor Talk store(shipping is so fast, Thanks Chris!) The pack of 3 attys for 25.99 is a pretty good deal. I got some backups. Thevaporroom.net is also a cool place to check out. I saw some of their prices were pretty reasonable. They also have a different variety of E-juice. All of the places I have mentioned so far are really good. Plus make sure you use a discount code they give you. You get money off your orders.

As for strength, I was a 2 pack a day smoker of Marb Ultra Light Menthol 100s(for me it wasn't like smoking air). I vape 18mg or 16mg strength and love it! It doesn't feel that strong at all to me. It seems just perfect. Eventually I want to go lower, but it seems with vaping you should start off a little higher and then work your way down to a lower strength of nicotine.

And yes, it can be pricey to start vaping. But, I have already paid for my kit and then some for what I have spent for vaping supplies in the 9 days since I had my last analog cig. Plus I feel better.

Good luck and I just want to say this forum is awesome for helping people who are new to vaping. The "how to" videos are great also.

  16. That happened to me yesterday when I started direct dripping. Got a little headache like when I used to smoke too many analogs. That is when I knew to set down the e-cig and go in the other room to do something else. It was gone within an hr.

  17. Derstadtschultz---I agree. The insurance companies especially! That is why the healthcare system is messed up and we are paying more and more out of pocket and getting less coverage. Now I believe most Doctors are all for preventative care, but most are not informed about e-cigs. I think it is mainly because they don't want to push something that is not approved by the FDA.

If it were to get approved, I can say for sure my Dr. would suggest it. When I went to see her a week ago and I mentioned wanting to quit analogs, she told me all the basic Options....and even mentioned Chantix, but I could tell she was not thrilled with it because of the negative side effects.....depression and suicidal thoughts. So for them an e-cig is something they would not advise, but kinda like they would let you try at your own risk.

Yes, I also think the FDA, Government, and Tobacco companies are working together. Why the heck would they approve cigerettes which is proven to kill you and give you life crippling diseases and yet not really seriously look into e-cigs more closely... A habit that only contains maybe one or two chemicals that may or may not harm you long term? It does all come down to MONEY. AND THIS CHICK RIGHT HERE IS NOT PAYING THE GOVERNMENT ANYMORE EXTRA MONEY OUT OF POCKET THEN I NEED TO!!

  18. I know I breathe better when vaping vs smoking. I can say that I got my mom into vaping last year just to try to help her cut down on her 4 PAD habit. She took to e-cigs right off the bat and pretty much quit smoking entirely. Now here's the kicker. My mother has some health problems, ranging from a brain tumor to bone spurs in her neck/back. Prior to vaping, the doctors told her that surgery was probably not even going to be considered because her respiratory system was in too bad of shape. Fast forward to about 6 months on e-cigs, and her doctor was floored when he saw her, asked her if she quit smoking, and told her her respiratory system was in excellent shape, almost as if she had never smoked! Of course she told him about the e-cig, showed it to him, and he was excited. She's probably schooled about 10 doctors about e-cigs and every one of them have been excited about them and said they would recommend them to smoking patients.

In my book, thats a huge win for e-cigs!

Awesome!! I wonder if she had a chest x-ray to prove this? I am an x-ray tech and I am curious if your lungs actually DO improve?? If they did a comparison to her prior Chest x-rays, that right there could be proof that e-cigs are better for you then smoking! Maybe the FDA ought to take a look at that?

Only thing that makes me curious is if your more prone to Pneumonia. Only reason I ask is because you inhale vapor. As long as you change your carts and keep everything clean, then at least your not introducing bacteria into your lungs.

They seriously need to get trials going on this. Take smokers and convert them. Do before and after studies with all vitals, Chest x-rays etc. I for one would be one that would LOVE to participate in this! Even if the outcome wouldn't be as great as I expected, still worth it. Love all the money I am saving so far. My unit has almost paid for itself and it's been almost a week. Yes I bought extra stuff, but by the end of the month I still will be saving so much money! Even with ordering extra attys and e-juice.

  19. I live in Milwaukee and the smoking ban is what keeps me from going to bars...especially in winter. It sucks because I know the owners of this one bar and they smoke themselves. It just sucks. In summer it wasn't so bad to go outside, but now with winter, forget it.

Milwaukee does need more exposure to E-cigs. Since getting my Ego earlier this week, I have been analog free. I love it! I already feel better. I don't reek of smoke and it satisfies my cravings for a smoke. I just don't see how a product that is found in most stuff we use in our daily lives is bad if it's used in an E-cig. There is a chemical in Deodorant that has been found in tumors in breast cancer, but yet they don't pull it off the market. :rolleyes2: Then, Don't even get me started with the fact that analog cigs are horrible for you and yet they continue to sell them, but figure its ok because they tax the heck out of them! They figure people will quit that way because of the cost. Yeah right, they know how addicted we are and a lot of people are going broke from their habit while making the government richer.

I love e-cigs and even if it may not be 100% healthy for me, it's a Heck of a lot better then smoking analogs! No one can convince me otherwise. I would be outraged if they banned E-cigs. They just seriously need to look into E-cigs a little closer and start to do trials and actually test them out. Not just on two brands, but several! Tests the juices...whatever needs to be done, but I'm almost 100% sure they would find it is much better then smoking analogs!

As for marketing them for non-smokers or kids, yeah right. I grew up with Camel ads and cig ads everywhere. Is that what made me smoke to begin with? Heck no!

Plus, Smoking is a choice, you either do it or you don't. Once you are over 18 that is your choice. Plus 18, makes you an adult. Of course if I had to do it over again, I would have never started. But at least now, I'm not hacking in the middle of the night and my taste is returning.

  20. ya i will say i do realize this because in Ney York City i believe a pack of cigs is near $8 - $10 dollars which is outrageous.

Since i live in a small town in WV a pack of cigs is only $4 (also given that Camel menthol usually has a $1 off cupon as you buy the pack) but also i live on the border of VA which VA has lower taxes so it's cheaper to buy there as well.

I'm only 21 atm so i hope not to run by the health risks of analogs but i do realize down the road (although i hope it never happens) that the cost of medical bills due to cigs will heavily out way the cost of vaping.

It's just given my current budget although i make decent for someone my age it's just that cost analysis is always something to subject to.

So i decided to keep a log of how much cigs would cost me a week and compare that to how much my e cig and liquid has cost and i will update you guys if you want on this matter in a month or so.

Honestly, If I only smoked a 1/2 a pack a day, I would try to quit completely or just invest in some very low e-juice for the occasional vape instead of grabbing cigs. I started out with a small analog cig habit, and it just got bigger over the years. Save yourself now before you get older and lose time off your health.

I seriously think this e-cig is one of the best inventions ever and for once I finally feel like I have control over my habit. THe only thing I fear is that the FDA will ban it. If they do, I will be very upset. The idea to approve regular analogs which kill and ban something that has only one thing that may or may not be harmful to your health but is not proven would make No sense whatsoever. Maybe that is why they are stalling??
