  1. I want to know what an insurance sompany would say if you told them you vape, assuming you haven't smoked for a while. Would they give you the non-smoker or smoker rates? Only problem I see with vaping 0 nic to fool the insurance company is that if you later have another blood test that shows nicotine in your blood, the insurance company could drop you leaving you with a huge hospital bill.
  2. Ok, got a new battery. it's a 1000 mAh eGo-T passthrough. If I can find a video on disassembling and reassembling a battery, I'd like to try to fix my broken one. Gives me an extra battery to work with/loan to friends who want to quit smoking. Can somebody link a video of how to pull an eGo battery apart? I looked on Youtube and couldn't find one.
  3. I'm not sure on your second question, but the eGo can use the same attys as your 510 without a problem. I've got 2 eGo 1000 mAh passthroughs and have been using 510 attys with them for quite a while with no problems
  4. seems to me that it's a bad connection at the atty. will probably order a new batt and then try pulling it apart. pullin apart a "dead" batt can't really hurt anything, I'm out a batt either way
  5. Wiggling it didn't seem to help, but thanks for the suggestion. Really seems like a short. I have no idea how to take the battery apart though, any help would be appreciated
  6. Chris, I said at the bottom of my first post about 2 months. These are the batteries I quit smoking with. would the button light still come on if it was a short? I have a second battery, so I'm ok for now, but I'll probably need to order new ones soon. Any idea where I can get a walkthrough or something for pullin apart the bat Tektronik? I know how to solder etc, so if it's just a disconnected wire or something, I can hopefully fix it at least long enough to hold out till I can get new batteryes or a mod
  7. I have 2 1000mAh ego passthroughs, unfortunately one basically quit working. If I plug it into a usb it sometimes hits, but only once in a while. It acts like it's not getting power to the atty, the light under the button lights up normally, and when on the usb the charging light comes on normally (when the button is pressed). Any ideas????? Neither of my batts has the 5-click protection on them, and the 10 click reset doesn't seem to work. This batt quit working on me once before, but started working again fine shortly after. The usb in the end seems to be a bit loose, it can spin a very short ways in the end (about 10-15 degrees, which shouldn't be enough to cause a problem). Probably gonna be ordering new batts soon, but I've only had my current batts for about 2 months.
  8. Tried the Pyramid mod on one of my carts, likin it so far. probably try out the fluval eventually too. where's the best place to get juice? Lookin to get a bunch of samples and try them out
  9. Thanks guys. I ordered extra carts and attys, been readin the forum and saw that was a good idea, also upgraded both batts to 1000 mAh PTs so if they're both dead I can still use while they charge. I'm never far from a usb port. Got a usb lighter adapter in my car, my comp (obviously) and a solar charged battery in the side window on my car JIC. Took me about 2 days of vaping to drain 1 batt from full charge though so I'm pretty sure I'm covered. Only problem now is makin sure I've got enough juice. Can't stand the taste of coffee, but I love green/black/oolong tea. Not impressed with the cignot black tea flavor, but I've only been analog free for a day or so, so I'll wait to pass judgement. Could be that it's VG juice, not PG or mix. Definitely gonna do either the pyramid or fluval mod on my carts, probably try both then decide.
  10. I finally got my ego on Friday, May 13, so far I'm lovin it. Ordered a starter kit from cignot.com and replaced the batts with higher capacity PTs. My current setup: 2 eGo 1000 mAh Passthrough batteries eGo fast charger and 2 usb cables Drip tip, 5 510 attys (2 included and 3 bought), and 10 extra carts 2 20ml bottles of juice (vg, 26 mg nic), black tea and cherry flavor Wondering where the best place to get juice from. Not really gettin too much flavor with mine currently, but taste buds do take a while to heal any suggestions on mods etc? Anybody know of any ecig shops in NW Ohio?
  11. Damn, not seein any codes for Cignot. While they may not be the cheapest, esp if there's places sellin starters for $49, you can upgrade your bats to 1000 mAh for $4 or upgrade the second bat to a 650 pt for $2, though you do get free shipping. might be worth the extra couple bucks to get a pair of 1000mAh bats or get a pt for when you're settin at your comp
  12. with 1000 mah bat and 650 mah pt, it's all of $2 more than the Inferno shipped. definitely worth the $2 if the ego's as good as everybody says it is. Will probably order in the next few days to a week. want to save the money to get attys, carts, the whole nine yards so I don't have to screw around goin back to analogs while I'm waitin for parts to show up.
  13. Looks like cignot is down for a couple hours doin site maintenance or something. I'll have to check back in a bit. I know the pt is like a $2 upgrade. if there's a $4 upgrade to the 1000 bat, I'm definitely gettin it
  14. So I think I'm gonna go with the Ego. Found a starter kit of a 650 ego bat and a 650 pt ego bat, with the usual charger etc on cignot for about the same price as the Inferno. Only downside is the Inferno is a 1000 bat and a 650 pt. My main concern is battery life. How long do the 650 bats usually last? When you say the bat will last 8-9 hours is that 8 hours of constant use, or 8 hours of vape till your nic craving is gone, set it down for a while and come back when another craving hits? I just want to make sure that 2 charged bats will last through a concert, night at the bar, etc. I don't want to have to run to the car to get my nic fix in the middle of a concert, and miss a lot of the show.
  15. So I've been searching around online for a good quality e-cig, and I stumbled on VT. Figured I might as well get the veteran's opinions on a good PV. Looked through some of the noob posts for a while and saw that a lot of people are sayin "eGo is the way to go". A friend of mine recommended Volcano e-cigs, and from searching online I found a lot of good reviews for the VaporTokers Fatty. I'm kinda liking the Volcano Inferno because one of the batteries is a usb passthrough, and I'm near my computer most of the time. Hell, I've got a usb lighter adapter in my car to charge my mp3 player while I'm driving, and it'd be nothing to unplug my player while I'm takin a few drags off the e-cig. I'd really like to know if anybody's tried either the VaporTokers Fatty or the Volcano Infreno, and what they thought of it. My main concern with an e-cig is I don't want it diein on me when I'm away from my charger. Most of the time I smoke about half a pack a day, though sometimes, especially if I'm out drinking, I'll smoke a lot more. I want something that isn't gonna crap out on me when I need a smoke (or vape). The Volcano inferno sounds just about perfect to me, but I'd like to hear some other opinions before I shell out the money to get one. Was also wondering if anybody has an opinion on these: http://www.volcanoecigs.com/cartomizers.html or http://www.volcanoecigs.com/mega-cartomizers.html They're apparently cartomizers that use ceramic instead of cotton to hold ejuice. So what do the VTrans have to say? Joye eGo, VaporTokers Fatty, or Volcano Inferno?
