Also, make sure your magnets are facing opposite... they should repel each other, not pull towards each other.
3600mAh? I'll assume that is a Panasonic button-top battery? If so, gag8tor is correct... your mod will work better with a flat-top battery, and I'll suggest the 20A Samsung 25r...or the purple Efest 35A. Samsung batteries are my go-to, for their reliability (and cost).
Also, just out of curiosity... what is the Ohms of your coil build?
