  1. Why are modern musicianis looked down upon? Virtuosos like Mozart weren't looked at in this way...just because music has wires and electricity in it doesn't mean modern day virtuosos are any less than they were of yesteryear.
  2. My dog got a bit sick and I had to run outside to help him, as you know Comp he's not feeling well at all. Small price to pay for my best friend.
  3. The first one was ten minutes...and all was well. These were two of my minis that I wanted to clean as well, completely different from the ones you helped me clean.
  4. Hry there NCH, if enough stuff doesn't arrive to get me off the ground I may just hit you up on that...
  5. So do I, but it's a sad day when musical virtuosity is frowned upon because it's "too loud" or "too fast" as opposed to the days of Mozart, Bach, Haydn, George Frederick Handel and Rachmaninov...all extreme vrtuosos of all time and some of the most technically versatile players to have ever lived were never second-guessed in their in their capacity for musical composition...and were in fact embraced and nurtured and cheered along in their journey across pushing the boundaries of the days musical frontiers. I guess it's just because old people don't like instruments with that new newfangled electricity flowing through them. If you choose to let the colorful, groud-breaking master of today pass you by because, well "Danngit I'm just a good ol boy that likes it slow" it's really your loss... YMMVJMFHUTIFWIW
  6. If you don't mind me asking: how old are you? Are/were you into the older RC comic titles?
  7. http://www.bandsintown.com/LambOfGod?came_from=162 Any fans up for a trip to the MA area?
  8. What goes around comes around. I have made a promise that I will help Tugs any time he needs it.
  9. I understand that you guys are a bit apprehensive because of my comments about getting lost in the maths of the all this stuff...but I want to diversify my collection...I trust T-Bozel with helping me out and he made some great recommendations. Give that I've got some time on my hands I'm going to learn this stuff...as long as I manage to keep myself safe and give credit to this community.
  10. It was my fault, absolutely no fault of Comp's a all. The method worked perfectly before, but I got wrapped up in some stuff downstairs with the 'Rents and lost track of time. This is why I love this community. Tboat is the man right now.
  11. I had a really strong juice in the tanks and the flavor wouldn't seem to dissipate, someone mentioned to boilm them for a few minutes. I don't have any vodka in the house so I used the last bottle of water I had to try and clean out the taste. Now I'm down to two Protank 2s and one more Protank mini that has a crack in it.
  12. I put two minis in a pot of boiling water to set them up for new flavors and left the pot unttended. When I came back, all the ater was boiled and all the pieces were melted. This really, really sucks. It seems like I take 1 step forward and two steps back. Absolute bummer.
  13. Mike Porntnoy played a little stint with Avenged Sevenfold...
  14. Haven't seen it. But will surely check it out. I think I have an extra 10 bucks I might pick up netflix.
  15. To be honest, and I love her as much as the next guy...but given the source material the philosophical implications of an idea they put forth, it's her performance is the exact facet with which I take issue. Perhaps it's poor direction or a meandering, flat-on-its-face elivery of her problem that brings the movie from a 7 out of 10 to about a 5.8-6.1. Let me know what you think after you watch it, but separate yourself from your admiration of her...I had to.
  16. MSG in 1973. This is monstrous....one of the top 5 concerts I wish I was able to attend. Just watch it flow through James Patrick "Jimmy" Page, among his greatest improvisational guitar solos I think he ever laid down....
  17. The lyrics are so emotional and discuss things I think only a Father can relate to. Being divorced, this songs means a lot to me....
  18. Please take the 7 minutes and listen to these lyrics....Never mind the amazingly melodic guitar phrasing and composition of the guitar work gives me goose-bumps. Right now, these guys are one of my favorite bands. Please listen to the guitar work starting at about the 2:40 work and, again...the lyrics.
  19. Let me know what you think. I believe that it could have been a fantastic examination of the philosophical implications of brain evolution, but...no spoilers, ScarJo's performance lacked what I think could have been a great opportunity to talk about the amazing progression of evolution given environmental and psychological input. I simply think they copped out at the end. all just my opinion.
  20. Targetting groups on their political views is tyranny. We fought a blood soaked revolution on a tax on tea (an oversimplification but the fact remains)...yet the sheeple go along with it, so long as they can watch Honey Bo boo. And the upcoming tax on 529 college funds, money deposited into children's college funds is a REAL and DANGEROUS reality on our horizon per our Dear Leader King Hussein. Money that, when earned is taxed via an illegal income tax. He wants to tax it again when the monies are withdrawn come time for our children to attend college. The importance of college is a topic for another conversation, anyway....as I believe college is a waste of time and money. They are simply Socialist training camps for impressionable, rebellious (I'm angry at my mommy trustaraians.
  21. Click for one of the greatest books on these two men...
  22. A lot of German soldiers didn't know the atrocities done on behalf of their sacrifices. Many went AWOL, or even attempted to kill Hitler for it. Rommel, one of the greatest field Generals of warfare history, even disagreed with the high, high level of fascism and downright genocide.
