  1. Are LR Cartos hard on 3.7 volt 650mAh batteries?

They hit harder and warmer. I didn't really like it. Perhaps it was just the brand I used. I prefer taste and hit over vapor if I had to choose. Regular cartos are ok with me. I can get clouds of vapor if I want or the best bad *** hit ever if I hold the vapor in longer. I vape at 36mg.

For example, try holding in the inhaled vapor longer. You get way less vapor but man a much better hit :)

For flavor inhale exhale faster, also produces more vapor.

  2. Right back to the same stuff, them making decision for US about what we as ADULTS in the USA can do. Makes me mad! :veryangry:

But this is what most Americans wanted when they voted for Obama, a nanny state.

Any REAL change will not come from a Democrat or Republican.

The Food and Drug Administration has warned three companies that market mouth-rinse products to stop making unsupported claims that they remove plaque and promote healthy gums.

The letters are the latest in a stream of warnings issued to food and drug producers by the FDA and the Federal Trade Commission since President Obama took office dealing with unsubstantiated health benefits on labels and in advertising. source

    Enjoying the change yet? :)

  3. I think we can see why they might view the electronic cigarette as a threat. Marketed by companies as a cession device or not.

    http://www.ohio.com/business/103505939.html

I fail to see the problem if companies stop advertising ecigs as ways to quit smoking! Market them simply as ecigs, no other claims.

What hurt the industry was such claims. Clearly they did not think that one all the way thru. Other claims that hurt us was the smoke any where claims. Clearly we can't and this invites adding confusion in no smoking areas.

What's ironic is that the whole world has gone mad regarding ecigs and lost all sense of logic! Cigarettes which are 4000 more times more dangerous, and do not have child proof safty caps and and be picked up off the ground often already lit by children is not seen as a threat, yet they have focused on ecigs in a evil way!

    WTF is going on here!?

  4. They have LR cartos for about the same price as reg cartos if u shop around. They produce a lot of vapor and said to simulate 5v vaping.

Alternately you can also try a 80/20 ratio of PG/VG or 70/30. VG produces more vapor.

Also be sure you are putting in exactly the right amount not too little or too much. Finally drag slower and longer and try some direct inhales too. Over all I have not probs with my ego which looks very much like a Riva, even on a standard carto.

  5. I don't believe I am confused. Your summary was my point, people returning to the addiction do so because the mind says to. As I believe jeff pointed out in a more rambunctious area of the forum, there is a certain re-wiring of the brain that takes place with an addict, so the only confusing area of discussion might be what constitutes the physical aspect of the psychological addiction. My point is, in regards to most drugs, the physical aspects of the drug (heroin and nicotine have a short half-life) are usually out of the system within days, I consider that the "physical" addiction. The desire to do it again I consider the psychological addiction and is very strong indeed. I believe the brain is simply desiring to go back to that state it still remembers, its not withdrawal at that point in time, its a desire to return to that state. Is this the nature of the addictive mind, sure. But that is who we are talking about, right? I was a smoker for 30+ years and tried everything to quit. I think except for the weekend smokers, you would be hard pressed to find a full time smoker who is not an addict. Some may not like that, but if they aren't an addict prone to the mental aspects of the addiction then they really should try to get to 0 and be done with it all.

So simply put, I've seen many a smoker go back after weeks/months/years of being quit. This means the mind is playing a very important role in the addiction and shouldn't be dismissed as not able to be fooled by a placebo, its not as smart as you think!! ;-)

Placebos are only good for very short term, you can not continue to fool the mind and body with a placebo. And again, only a small percentage can be deceived by a placebo in the first place.

We are in agreement with the reason why people return to addictions.

  6. My having to have a cigarette every hour or more was in my opinion, not a drop in nicotine levels, just the brain remembering how good nic is. That is the nature of an addiction, that is why addicts finish what they have and even return to their addiction after years of sobriety. Nicotine is out of the system in 12 days max, we all know people that go back after years of quitting. If you had a 0 nic substitute that was convincing in regards to smoke, TH, etc., I am convinced many of them would be fooled enough to say, yeah, that's the good stuff, thanx. The problem in my mind is a good 0 nic substitute is not around, so they reach for a cigarette, then they really are getting juiced up all over again.

You are confusing two different types of addictions, psychological and physical. Smoking is both, however the physical portion of it is on the line of heroin.

Both heroin and nicotine produce a state of euphoria in the brain by forcing the brain to release more chemicals that produce that state.

There has been some success in manufacturing man made designer drugs that can fool the brain to thinking it is getting the same chemicals thereby producing even more euphoria. The most potent such drug is meth, hardly a placebo.

Kicking the psychological portion of addition is easy, on the line of stop biting your finger nails. But getting off the physical addiction is much harder because the body NOT THE MIND revolts against you for depriving it of the euphoria it was use to getting.

One other important fact about placebos, never mind that only 20-30% of the population may be subject to them, more importantly, the placebo is very short term and can not be used repeatedly as the body/mind catches on quick, no matter how weak the mind is. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! :)

The reason people return to smoking or other additions years after it has been completely cleared from the body is of course the mind remembers it very well, right down to the taste and smell even. That part is definitely pyschological and those people are by nature more open to additions of any kind.

  7. I think you hit on a big one Chris. I see that too. I work at a pretty big place, lots of employees, see them try ecigs and go back to analogs all the time. If you puff on a ecig like a cigarette your gonna be vaping air. It's more of a pipe hit and not many people ever smoked a pipe before so it's a new idea. Others direct inhale and cough their brains out. It's a slow inhale like you said. Once you get it down to second nature you can try variations. I like to occasionally start with a small direct inhale and end up with a slow drag. Some times I really don't care about the vapor amount and hold the inhale in longer which I find gives me more nic. I produce less vapor that way but get a really, really good hit! :)

  8. No commitments required. It's either gonna work or not work.

I was not looking to quit smoking at all. Had no intentions of quitting. I went to ecigarettes to save money. Plain and simple.

What tripped me was at first it did not do it for me. Too weak in the nic level, TH, and vapor production. I solved those points. Next it was just like smoking for me. I started on a cheap store bought rip off cigarette look alike kit and when the battery died on me and I bummed a cigarette and I was surprised it tasted like CRAP!!! And it stunk! I felt dirty, I wanted to take a shower lol. That was the rude awakening I needed. Now I vape like crazy. I like it BETTER then analogs.

  9. Placebo can be demonstrated to be effective with various drugs and medicines, it creates the illusion of drug consumption to the consumer, but weirdly enough with the same wanted effects. For example There are two groups of people, group A will receive normal 5% beer and group B will drink an alcohol free variant of the same beer. Non of the participants can distinguish between the two beers, which was a requirement for the experiment. After an hour the scientists had the two groups do the typical 'are you drunk' tests and remarkable results showing that the group consuming alcohol free beer acted as if they were drunk. In fact they felt drunk. The cool thing about this is that we can imply this on our smoking/nicotine addiction by setting up similar conditions:

two bottles not labelled, one with nicotine the other not. Both are identical in taste and throat hit, but one is zero nicotine the other is not.

Now simply give it to some person and ask him to keep the bottles for an hour in his pocket. pick up the two bottles and forget about them for a while. When you feel the urge to vape take out a bottle and vape away. I am hoping though the placebo effect one will not be able to tell the difference between the two bottles, if one does not concentrate too hard on it. The problem being that the throat hit and taste must be identical or the same.

It would be great if you could try this out and post your findings in this method. Thanks!

nicotine is as strong an addition as heroin, that is medical! You really think a placebo would work on such addicting properties :)

Placebos works and not very well I might add on lesser addicting agents. The success rate on placebos is very low even on asprin.

  10. Tasty Puff's has been around for a long time, it is not made for eliquids, it is sold to add flavoring to your "tobacco" by adding some drops on the tobacco or on the rolling paper. It is a highly concentrated strong flavor and they have dozens of flavors. I tried their opium flavor. It can be found online and in most head shops.

My first attempt was a bomb! It is just so strong it will over power you easily and tasted like vaping perfume. I finally got a good mix and ratio, well enough to review and share!

I added about 3 drops to a premixed 8ml bottle of juice I mixed. This was a very good ratio! My premixed was simply about 7ml of Marlboro/USA and 1ml of Clove. All I added was 3 drops of Tasty Puff's Opium to this mix and bingo!

The result was very pleasing and one of my favorite juices to vape now. The smell is strong enough for you to still smell, but now the taste is subdued a lot but still present. I got a very smooth sweet opium tasting mix with ever so light background of smooth light tobacco. I'm actually very proud of myself lol.

So how close is it to real opium? Closer then tobacco juices are to tobacco that's for sure! Whats it taste like? Well it's kind of sweet and tarty at the same time, but what really adds to the experience here is the slight aroma you will get from the cloud of vapor too. It is rather unique and many have said just the taste alone is addicting! This mix produced a very enjoyable vaping experience, not harsh or rough at all, full of flavor. This is the ratio I recommend starting with if you want to try making your own. I will try mixing to non flavor nic next but honestly, this is good enough for me!

If any one else has experimented with mixing Tasty Puff's Opium flavor please share your results!

  11. I been vaping Caramel Tobacco from Blue Mist for the past two days, can't put it down! No burnt taste! Great blend of tobacco and caramel. I bought the 150ml/32mg bottle for $25.00 with extra flavor added for .50 and it ROCKS! This is American Made juice, it's thick not watery, good aroma and flavor! I have yet to have any juice this good! Highly recommend it. My full review is Here.

The only negative thing is I fell a little guilty for getting such quality/quantity for such a insanely low price :)

  12. How's it going guys. Im new to filling my own cartridges so I want to do it right the first time haha. Im looking for a good tasting vanilla and apple e-liquid in a high mg bottle. 24mg at least, 36mg is a positive. Wanting good vapor and good throat hit of course. Ill be using the very own Revolution battery and carotmizers from our very own vaportalk store. Please and thank you for your help.

(P.S. cheap liquid would be great :P)

if you can find juice cheaper then $25 for 150ml let me know! Until then that is exactly what Blue Mist offers and it is American Made too! It only goes up to 32mg but I was vaping 36mg and I swear I can not tell the difference between Blue Mist's 32mg and others at 36mg!

    There is also these too..

    Madvapes

    My Freedom Smokes

and our very own VT juices here!

  13. Stick with tobacco flavors (they are flavors too) until you get your sense of smell and taste back, then try some other flavors in small sample bottles. Most ill NOT be all day vape juice for you but you may find some you like as in between or spacer juice. Don't be surprised by then if you find some flavors you prefer over tobacco one's! This idea will seem impossible at this time however :)

I'm vaping Caramel Tobacco right now from Blue Mist Vaporing, with extra flavor added. The tobacco flavor at this mix is the least and the caramel is greater there by making it different then normal tobacco flavors, yet I happen to like it a lot right now. I also tried Belgian Waffles and was totally surprised I like it!

As for the nic level, there lies a great divide with many members here. I am of the opinion you should not start with any thing less then 24mg coming from analogs. From there you will know if you need to bump it up or if you can go down. If you can vape 24mg and not miss analogs, if no analog cravings your good to go and might even be able to drop down right away! No I am not a Doctor and this is not medical advice, but I have seen many smokers try electronic cigarettes for any where from a few days to a few weeks and give up and go back to smoking. The main reason always given? "It was like smoking air" or "it did not satisfy my cravings"

18mg juice is NOT equal to 18mg analog! Due to the fact we can not really be certain what the nic variation is from bottle to bottle but more importantly 1 cigarette from a pack of 18mg which is a Light IMHO, one cig will give you 1 mg of nic from burning tobacco and also 3000+ other additives. The nic transported in this manor and inhaled will get in to your blood a lot faster verses from a few drops from a bottle of juice or a cart labeled 18mgs. When you vape you are not inhaling smoke but a water mist, the concentration of nic won't be as high and also it will take longer for the nic to get in to the blood. It's more of a slower process, no immediate nic high. Make sense?

The good news is it is possible to not only get the exact amount of nic your body and mind is use to getting by bumping it up a few notches. I would suggest starting at 24mg. You may need to go up to 36mg like I had to before every thing was right. My starter kit came with 8mg and I was ready to go back to analogs the second day lol. I found some 16mg tried them and still no better. 18mg actually saved me as I found if I vape them non stop for hours I did manage to satisfy my nic craving. 24mg is ok, but 36mg, oh yes, thats what I miss! I'm vaping 32 mgs at this moment and it's ok too!

Just keep this in mind if you find vaping is not working for you. It is prolly the nic level. Once you find the right level your home free because if you do go back to analogs you will think they taste terrible and stink :)

    Good luck!

  14. Ego shirt pocket unless it using a 1000mha batt then pants pocket.

Vaportight: how does the Mako compare to your silver bullet in performance?

Lily: I think I will pass on the clear plastic make up bag.

I like the holster idea but would prefer a belt clip resembling a cell phone case or may be a flashlight case, still looking.

  15. As a tobacco flavor person I rarely sample any thing other then tobacco flavors. I just purchased 150ml bottle of Carmel Tobacco 32mg from Blue Mist. I ordered it "extra flavor" which emphasizes the carmel flavor and the tobacco flavor lighter. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with this mix. I never thought I would like it. It is a quality mix, and the price, $25.50. American made! I was also surprised that they also included a small 10ml 32mg bottle of Belgian Waffle for me to try. I like this a lot too and will definitely be ordering more of it. If you think it's impossible to get quality juice, service and dirt cheap prices for American made juices, think again! I highly recommend Blue Mist!!!
