  1. Congratulations! I also remember the 1st day, 2nd day, 3rd day, now it's almost 6 months. Just take it one day at a time. If you fall off the wagon, just brush yourself off and climb right back on. The longer you go without smoking, the better it feels knowing that you CAN live without smoking. (never thought I would have said that just a few months ago).

  2. I did it again today. Went to my local vape shop for my regular liquid and got a bottle of Orange Dream Ice Cream juice.

I love orange. Got home, put a little of the orange in a tank, vaped it and then gave the bottle to my daughter.

I did the same thing with a 30ml ($27.50) bottle of 5 Pawns, except that I actually got to taste it at the vape shop. Got it home and didn't like it. Now I have a whole bottle that won't get used. I'm not gonna waste any more money experimenting.

I have 2 flavors that I've settled on:

Trailhand Tobacco from Smokecignals (my all day vape)

Sinthol from NiQuid (my dessert flavor)

  3. They come with tanks because the MVP kit is a "starter-kit" (battery/tank/charging-cable), and well... because they can... if they can start you off with their tanks, you'll likely stick with them for a while, rather than invest your money with Kanger or Aspire, etc. for their tanks. The iClear tanks are okay, but I did not prefer them over my Kanger tanks, although some people like them...

My MVP 2.0 came with 2 dual coil iclear16 tanks. I love these tanks because they are top fill. I hated having to unscrew my other tanks from the battery, and turn them upside down to fill them.

  4. Thanks so much I didn't get the 24 bc she said I didn't need it an well I am new so I believed her an stuck with the 18 but find myself wanting to vape more or wanting a real cig

Well, until you maybe get the 24 mg nic, go ahead and vape more. Do whatever it takes to stay off the analogs.

  5. Besides all the improved smell, tastes, etc. I find that the first week I quit smoking was the worst. Not just the cravings but the extra time I had on my hands. I never realized how time consuming smoking 2 packs a day was! I had to find things to do because I was bored. Previously I was either busy doing something with a cigarette in my mouth, or just sitting around with a cigarette in my mouth, but I wasn't bored. After quitting I had a lot of spare time. I washed dishes, swept, mopped, and anything else I could find to do. My wife loved it! :animier:

  6. I was a 2 pack a day smoker for many years. I started with Chantix April 4th of this year. Started vaping at the same time. Went from 2 packs a day to just 3 or 4 cigarettes a day in like 3 days. Quit cigs completely April 24th. I only cheated 2 or 3 times after that by taking a puff and immediately put it out because it tasted nasty. Havent even tasted a cigarette in about 3 months. I still have half a pack in my motorcycle saddlebag which I need to throw away.

  7. I started vaping to quit smoking and it worked. But there's still that "hand to mouth" motion of smoking that I cant seem to shake, and vaping takes care of that. Last night I tried a juice that was really close to actual analogs and it reminded me why I don't smoke anymore....It was nasty and choked me. I think it was from NiQuid and was called Midnight?

  8. We may be trading one habit for another, but in the 5 months since I quit smoking 2 packs a day, I no longer have the cough, no longer have the wheezing sound every time I try to breathe. I can smell things now that I couldn't smell for years, and food tastes better now (gained a little weight because of this LOL). I would say that vaping is the better habit.... cheaper too, for me anyway.

  9. I never smoked menthol analogs however I like menthol ejuice. I use a tobacco flavored juice named Captain EJuice along with a few drops of menthol. I also frequently add a few drops of grape to it. The grape doesn't taste good alone, but a few drops mixed in is good.

  10. Hi,

    My name is Kevin

Earlier this year, my mom died from COPD. I decided that it was time to quit.

I have been a smoker for many years and have been smoking 2 packs a day. My doctor made me aware of a Smoking Cessation program in Louisiana that is being paid for by a lawsuit that the tobacco companies lost. If you're a resident of Louisiana and started smoking prior to i believe October 1988, you qualify. All doctor visits and meds are 100% paid.

Well the doctor put me on Chantix. After the 3rd day, I was down to only 3-4 cigarettes a day. I quit completely within about 2 weeks, and 4 months later I'm smoke free. Of course at the time I started, I was also starting to vape. I believe this made the difference. While Chantix does work, you still have to want to quit.

It's amazing how much money I was spending on smoking! I can smell things now that I hadn't smelled in years. Food tastes better etc.

I presently use the Innoken itaste MVP 2.0 at home, and while I'm out and about, the Ego-c Twist fits my pocket.

If it helps anybody, here is the link to the website for the Smoking Cessation
