Nicotine absorption rates are affected by heat... lower ohm coils provide more heat, thus more rapid absorption of nicotine.  As you go down in Ohms, you lower your Nicotine.  Those of us who drip and run 0.5 Ohms or lower, MUST lower the nicotine levels.

At 1.5 Ohms and 18mg, that is about right for someone who is starting out, and smoked about a pack a day.

If you drop to sub-ohming, you'll want to cut that nicotine level in half or a third (6mg), because you'll get the same volume of nicotine (that you're use to) through absorption because of the higher heat.

Economics and convenience... I do like exactly the same as Tam, and just carry a different flavor in each tank.

To me, it's a whole lot easier to swap tanks than it is to deal with a gimmick (and possibly temperamental) tank.

BTW, Efest has a hard-side, 3-battery pouch, which is designed to hold three 18650 batteries, but it also holds a 22mm tank (KPT2 size) and a Cloupor mini (iStick size), with room at the top for a spare coil.  I frequently carry my back-up Cloupor and back-up tank this way... and since the pouches were 99-cents, I bought six of them... oddly enough, I rarely use them to just carry three batteries
  3. Earthling789's post in Advise needed Eleaf 30w and Protank3 2.2 ohm coil was marked as the answer
Well, it could... some coils just go bad within a tank or two.  I assumed you had tried a fresh coil, fresh juice, and cleaned the tank, but that is what I get for making assumptions, lol.

Dump the juice, clean the tank, and use a fresh coil... this will eliminate any issues with residual burnt juice.  If a clean tank and fresh coil solves the issue, then you're golden.  If it doesn't, then the iStick may be the cause (producing more power than indicated on the screen, like the 20W models do).  The iSticks are warranted for a year by Eleaf, IIRC, so if it is defective, Eleaf should repair/replace it, but you'll have to ship it to them.

    ^^ This ^^

I'm assuming many of them treat a space on the forum as "billboard advertising space" rental.

I would suggest for faster responses (or any response) to use the "contact us" links on their main web-site.
  5. Earthling789's post in Suggestions for better taste and vapor? was marked as the answer
    Welcome to VT!

I never cared much for the iClear tanks... some people love them, but the flavor (for me) was just not there.

I would suggest a different tank, perhaps a bottom-coil design with a Pyrex tank, such as an Aspire Nautilus, Nautilus-mini, or one of the Kanger tanks such as a ProTank2, ProTank3, AeroTank, or one of the mini versions of these (if you prefer a smaller form-factor tank).

Another issue with flavor may be your juice... not all juices are created equal, and different manufacturers will all have a different tasting/strength of blueberry (for example)... so you really have to try a lot of different juices. The PG/VG ratio of the juice will affect flavor as well... PG is the flavor carrier, so higher PG will usually have more flavor (but less vapor, because VG produces vapor), and more throat-hit. 50/50 ratio juices are the median compromise between flavor and vapor, but you may find you prefer 70/30 or 60/40... or something completely different.
  6. Earthling789's post in Got this vape from a friend... was marked as the answer
Yep, I'd say the low vapor production was just a factor of low-charge. Those 650mAh batteries just won't last all day for me... When I had a pair of them, I would blow through both in a day, so one was always on the charger I gave them away to a friend as a starter-kit to help her get off analogs.

The 1100mAh batteries I currently use as back-ups will last all day, give or take, so any batteries I buy now have to be 1100mAh at a minimum. There's nothing wrong with the smaller batteries, and I do appreciate the size (nice and compact), but I prefer to carry 1 or 2 larger mAh batteries, rather than 3 or 4 smaller ones, when I'm going to be away from home all day or on an overnight trip.
  7. Earthling789's post in E Juice problem. Need help! was marked as the answer
Yes, dehydration will change urine darker, as well as some flavorings, especially if they have artificial colors added. It NEVER hurts to have extra water during the day... not only to flush your body properly, but also to compensate for the drying effects of PG (and to a lesser extent, VG) on the body. I use to gag at having to drink even one small glass of water in a day, but since I started vaping, I've found that water is the only beverage to truly satisfy the dryness. I drink a minimum of three, 1-liter Nalgene bottles of ice-water each day, and have cut my coffee and cola intake in half (or more)!
  8. Earthling789's post in Looking for help on buying my first mec-mod was marked as the answer
I did a lot of digging before buying my first MODs too... I purchased an HCigar Copper Penny clone and an HCigar WindRose clone. I really loved the feel and all copper body (and contacts) of the Penny! I had never touched the WindRose before ordering one, but understand they are very similar to the Cartel in the weight and thickness of the smooth brass tubes. It should arrive tomorrow or Friday (depending on local PO), so I'll find out very soon if it was worth it!

I also considered a Hammer, Cartel, Stingray, Turtle Ship V2, and Overdose... but the Penny was a must-have for me, and the WindRose was "something different" with a really eye-catching Compass-Rose design
  9. Earthling789's post in EVOD Glass starter kit was marked as the answer
EVOD is plastic tank, plastic tip, and single-coil (cheaper)
EVOD2 is plastic tank, removable metal tip and dual-coil
EVOD2 Glass is glass tank, removable metal tip and dual-coil

Dual-coils burn a tiny bit more juice per "hit", and produce a tiny bit more vapor... they're also a bit more expensive (50% to 100% more cost).

The EVOD2 Glass are basically the same as a ProTank3 mini, with the difference of a metal shield around the tank on the EVOD version, and the PT3 mini is capable of full disassembly
