i built a 5v mod using parts from madvapes. it was about 15 dollars for the parts, and another 15 for the 14500 batteries and chargers. overall, couldn't be happier. i don't even touch my 510 anymore. it is possible to use 4 AA batteries instead of 14500's. since my batteries are not in yet, i went to radio shack and bought a 4 AA box, and attached it to the bottom of the mod, teporarily. batteries lasted a day and a half, and i like knowing that in a pinch, i can get some AA's from a convience store and use them if needed.

you wouldn't even be interested in a variable constant power battery source that would make each atty perform identically at the power level you choose??? screw adjustable voltage and current, power is what really matters. just an idea i have been kicking around

im prety sure i just need to lower my nic to 12 to 16. i finished my 5v box mod, only took about 30 mins. don't have the 14500's yet so i'm using 4xAA in a box taped to the bottom of the mod box....ghetto rigged to all .... but it gets the job done. i might integrate some type of mini connector to the mod so i can easily attach the AA box if the li-ions die and i don't have spares. AA's are far easier to find. how many friends do i gain if i mention i am in school for electrical engineering as well?

im an electronics technician, ive hooked my pasthrough up to a variable dc power supply and experimented from 3.5 to 6+ volts. i like 5.5 the best, but 5v regulators are easy to use. i was thinking that pg had more to do with th than nic. i have some plain, 0 nic vg on the way, ill try cutting some of my juices down to see if it helps, not concerned about flavor, just trying to figure out the throat hit dilemma. used to smoke about a pack a day of camel menthols.

Does nicotine affect throat hit that much? I get killed with 18 mg, but the vaporbomb I ordered was 12 mg. I'm using cartomizers on my 510, and in the process of building a 5v battery mod. The parts arrived today, I'll probably build it tonight at work, better soldering irons and test equipment than I have at home flavors and vapor are much improved at 5v (10 watts or so with a cartomizer, 12 watts of power on a stock atty) over the stock voltage.

Like the title says, discovered I hate throat hit. Of all the juices I have tried, the only ones that I really enjoy are ones without throat hit. So far: 80/20 vg/pg juices from vapor bomb are the only ones I enjoy. Tried tasty vapor, ms t's, AVEjuice, vermont vapor, viking vapor, DAT's vapor (2nd place, tried their 50/50, have some 100% vg on order), freedomsmokeUSA (tied for 2nd, same as DAT's), etc. I love the flavor on a lot of them, but the throat hit turns me off completely. Any recommendations on different juices to try, that I haven't listed already?
