  1. I agree that the draw seems a bit tighter and warmer with the cone on, and the cone does give the eGo a nice finished look. I also think the cone gives a bit of support and protection to the Battery Atty connections. That protection comes in handy with dummies like me who put the eGo in their pocket.
  2. LOL Who was that masked man? I dont but he left behind a great idea and excellent advice
  3. Here I was thinking that Dulcis was a caramel juice with flavor added to.Now that I have learned it is a tobbacco juice with flavor added I will have to give it a try. How will I explain another juice bill to the wife..... There must a way.... Must be some thinking to do..... Maybe if I cook her a nice fancy dinner..... Mmmmmmm
  4. If, as I was taught in school, the whole job of a marketing campaign is to get you to talk about the ads and the product then I have to say that these guys( or gals.. I guess I am sexist my first impluse was to say/write guys ) did their jobs masterfully.
  5. So far the best flavor I have tried is my go to bed vape 99Vapors Rising Sun. It is a Green Tea and Jasmine flavor. At First it is very very subtle almost like vaping nothing (the the vapor production is AMAZING), but then after two or three vapes the flavor starts building then you are tasting green tea ( BTW I love green tea maybe that's why I love this flavor)the jasmine its you as an after taste. I just love this stuff ( I am not a Throat Hit kinda guy so I cant tell if it has one, I dont pull directly into my lungs plus it is a "Go to Bed Vape" so I got it at low nic strength another notch against getting a Throat Hit)
  6. I dont think there is anything to apologize for, You were offering help to a fellow Vaper. There is nothing wrong with that..And I thought the hand crank charger was a riot. The wife thought is was a great idea(she saw the price and was all happy) until I told her that you were most likely joking. So please feel free to post ideas and suggestions all you wish, That's what VT is for isn't it?
  7. "Great story - but please don't tell us you still only have one charger?"-FTJoe At this time yes, but as someone here posted 'If I am not waiting on something in the mail then it doesn't feel right' ( not a direct quote but close enough I think)soon I will be ordering another charger and some more attys and a passthrough the VP/PT is the one I have my eye on, but I'll wait until they get the green LED ones back in stock( and as soon as I can convince the wife that it's ok to spend the money) "So what's your favorite niquid (I like that word) thus far and from where? "-noXious Right now I have four 'Niquids' I use daily. The first is my morning Vape 99Vapors Coffee(Med Nic). After my morning 'coffee' I switch over to 99vapors Whirling Dervish(Med Nic) (that is 99Vapors Camel flavor, What can I say after smoking Camel Wides for 20 years the flavor satisfies that analog urge) Then after lunch I switch over to Rath Mt. Dewey(18mg Nic)(not my favorite flavor. It doesn't have a good Mt. Dew flavor I have some other MT Dew flavors on order, what can I say I am addicted to that soda so I got to try and find a juice, guess I am just insane ) After work is when I jump around on flavors a few direct drips of this and that, a cart of another. But before I go to bed I load up a cart of 99Vapors Rising Sun (Low Nic) and vape that until I go to bed. So I dont a favorite niquid but I do have four standards that I use everyday. I dont think those four will stay the daily niquids. I think as time goes by some will be replaced by others ( like a good Mt.Dew). I dont think I will find "The One True Juice" but the journey will be a pleasant one with a nice vapor trail behind me
  8. Everyone here has been so very helpful and supportive I thought you would all like to know how the first 30 ( or so ) days as a vaper has gone. On April 20th I got my first Electronic Cigarette. A nice looking KR808 from a company called SmokeTip. I was very happy with the everything about vaping except the vapor production. On to the web I go to do research, after looking up SmokeTips competitors a ran across this forum. After a long night, and much of the early morning hours, of reading the posts here and making a few posts myself I decided to purchase a Totally Wicked Tornado. While waiting for my nifty new toy to arrive I order a bunch ( And I mean a whole lot) of E Liquids. Well for the next couple of days I bounced back and forth from analogs to my E Cig ( a one hour battery life was like a tease of what Vaping could be). Then not only my Tornado arrived but a bunch of juices as well. I was like a kid in a candy store. If I was awake and not working I was Vaping. Trying this flavor, trying Direct Dripping, Trying 100% PG, Trying 100% VG, a 50/50 mix, Pyramid Tea Bag Mods, Straw Mods ( Face it if someone here posted something a noob could do then I was trying it).My obsession ( well ok maybe obsession is a tad strong of a word.. Let's say Hobby that way profession help isn't needed ) was so bad that at work they took to calling my Tornado my "Crack Pipe".I was also on line just about every night looking over the VT forum and checking out every supplier that google could show me. I bought more Juices,A multi pack of batteries, and atomizers ( after all you have to have spares right?). Then four days ago a tragic accident, while screwing one of my batteries into the charger I tighten it a bit too much and I broke the charger.Well I had four batteries fully charged and one hat was half charged so I rationed my vaping ( no more just sitting in front of the computer vaping away the night away just when I needed that nic hit)and placed an order for a multi charger from Totally Wicked. Well my rationing worked until today with all my batteries dead ( including the KR808) I had to break down and buy a pack of analogs I wasn't happy about it but I had to . Then this afternoon my new charger arrived and I put five batteries onto charge ( Yes five Tornado Batteries will fit on the multi charger). I then did something that I could not do the twenty years I was a pack a day smoker I threw away a half a pack of analogs. The amazing part was I didn't even flinch when I did it, just tossed them in the trash with out a second thought. Now I sit vaping away the night and letting you know how it has been going. If my charger hadn't died I would have never pick up another analog. Now that I have a charger back (barring another major crisis) I will not be picking up another analog. Now I have to get a back up charger.....and maybe a Pass Through....and maybe a wetbox..... Somehow I dont think I am ever gonna stop buying PVs <shrug> I could think of worse fates.... Thanks everyone.
  9. Aside from working this weekend ( I am a cook and the resturant makes lots o' money this week-end) I will be going out and about Memorial day morning to place the flags along the center of town and to the four local cemetaries placing flags on the Veteran's graves and doing a small Memorial Services ( After all it is what the American Legion does on Memorial Day) So fire up those BBQ's, Swim in those newly opened pools and have a wonderful safe and fun weekend everyone. If you want to you could thank a veteran, I am sure they would appreciate it.
  10. I guess I am in the minority, I only do 100% VG I dont mind the sweet aftertaste and in some fruit or other sweet flavors I think it adds a little something extra ( heck you cant even taste the after taste when Vaping Bubblegum). But hey maybe I am just way out in right field
  11. I realize that I am in the minority because I only vape 100% VG, most people (as far as I can tell by reading this forum) vape a 50/50 mix of PG/VG. I have tried PG liguids and 50/50 liquids I find that VG produces alot more vapor than PG ot the 50/50 mix. The reason people vape PG or the mix is that VG tends to have a sweet aftertaste that can overpower subtle flavors ( although a nice mixmaster can componsate for this). As for the drying out your mouth and sinuses VG still does that, I dont think to the extent that PG does. I am not a scientist nor a doctor, the only reason I think that VG doesn't dry you out as much as PG is based soley on my experiences ( your mileage may vary). I find a good blended VG juice tastes (again a purely subjective conclusion) as good as a well blended PG or 50/50 mix (if you want to know a good mixmaster/company for 100% VG Juices see the Nose Bleeds thread (Sorry I am not computer savvy enough to do those fancy link things)). The VG I buy is USP Food Grade Organic and I buy it at my local Healthfood store. It is produces by a company called NOW FOODS and is sold as a skin softener and moisturizer(why it dries out your mouth/sinus when you vape it when it is sold as a moisturizer is beyond me but once again I am not a chemist nor a doctor) I hope this helps
  12. I started with a KR808 called SmokeTip, and the only good thing about that model was it showed me what vaping was all about. After doing research, well ok it wasn't research it was talking to people on this forum, I bought the Tornado from TW and I love it. nice compact size, long battery life and excellent vapor production. If anyone asks me to recommend a PV to start with I tell them to go with a 510. I dont tell them to get a Ego/Tornado but I do gently nudge them that way
  13. Congrats to you, your wife and the new boy in the family
  14. Dehydration is a vapers worse enemy.Glad to hear you are feeling better, and that your lungs ( after all the abuse of analogs) sound good. As for you juice may I suggest 99Vapors.com. All of their juices are 100% VG ( get away from the PG just in case that is causing any problems)and thier customer service is beyond excellent. Their shipping is very reasonable, their response time is excellent ( from Houston Texas to New Hampshire in 3 days). The flavors are excellent from single flavors (Coffee, Pomegranate, Watermelon) to complex flavors ( Bayou Blend, Shivas Tea, Raspberry Espresso Truffle). Sorry I seem to have rambled on about them, I almost sound like a salesman.... In short great flavors, great company.
  15. I started with a junky two piece E-cig (Smoketip)almost four weeks ago. I like vaping, I just wasn't happy with the performance of it.After a week and a half I went looking for a replacement. Then I got the Tornado(same thing as a ego just an UK Company) I really like it, I mean I really really like it. The battery life span on one charge is amazing, I get 24 hours on one charge, and I was a 1 pack a day smoker for 20 years. The vapor production is just as amazing as it's battery life. Not to mention it's sleek looking and lightwieght. The carts are easy to fill. All in all it is a excellent unit. But that's just my two cents. Sean
  16. I maybe wrong here but I think the DHO was meant to be D'OH I phrase mad famous by Homer Simpson and you will find that in the Oxford English Dictionary
  17. As some o you know I am new to this forum and to vaping. About two weeks ago I got an Ecig (http://www.smoketip.com) I have since moved onto a 510 Tornado but I would like to keep using this PV set up I have but I would like to know what type of PV this is (801? 901?) if anyone out there could look over this web sight and make your best guess. The reason I want to know is that although I have seen Videos of peope refilling the cartomizers after I tried it a couple of times I found that eiher I overfilled or something and I ruined two cartomizers. If I know what type this PV is I could just buy the cartomizers in the flavors/strengths I want. Thanks for reading all this, and for those who try Thanks for all your help Sean
  18. I found this forum about a week ago and all I can say is Thank you very much. I came here just to get some basic information about vaporizors and try to figure out if I wantted to stay with the Vaporizors or go back to cigarettes ( saying analogs doesn't feel right...yet ). Intead I found a forum that can give me all the info i could possible want. Also great people who not only have that information ( or the locations to get the information wanted) But they also are willing to share that info and thier own personal stories. I think it is all those personal stories that help us, the noobs, realize that we too can become cigarette free and become happy vapors. So I will add my Thank you to you Chris and to every other member of this Forum.
  19. Rob, I think you have found an excellent forum to ask questions and get info. About a week ago I found this forum and have had a wealth of infomation at my fingertips and the people here are very helpful and friendly. I am two weeks into vaping. I started with a two part vaporizer ( SmokeTip brand) and was happy to lose the cigarettes but I was not happy with the peformance of the vaporizer. I found this forum and after asking questions here and reading product reviews I bought a 510 Tornado from Totally Wicked. It may not be the best of the best, although you would have to work long and hard to convince me that it not. The vapor production is very very good, the battery life is excellent. The Tornado is versitile ( you can use the cartridges or direct drip). So from one noob to another I recommend the 510 Tornado. As for Liquids I have dealt with 99vapors,Totally Wicked, and Viking Vapors. All three have good Liquids and excellent customer service. As for which Liquid is better than the other. That is personal prefrence so if anyone tells you that Brand X Flavor Y is the ONE TRUE JUICE dont believe them, experiment and find what pleases you. I started off thinking that all I wanted was Tobacco Flavors becase I was replacing my nasty smoking habit but after a week or so I found that there was a slight sweet aftertaste that I liked. That was the beginning of my trying, and enjoying, other flavors other than Tobacco. I hope this was helpful. I thought I would share my lessons learned. I am not saying that I am some sort of expert just another noob who is just a week or so ahead of you. Your mileage may vary.
  20. You are absolutely correct about ther customer service, I spoke with Joe this evening and he was very helful. If thier juice is half as good as thier customer service I think I will be happy.
  21. I am just getting into Vaping and I was thinking on ordering from 99Vapors.com. I was wondering if anyone on this forum had dealt with them and if so how was the service?
