  1. First what batteries are people having success with, mine absolutely won't accept button top Efest IMR's. Flat tops are fine. I've never run into this before with 18650 batteries (I'm a flashlightaholic.)

Second how do you get it to display ohms of the coil?

The manual says to hold + & minus but on mine that just flashes amps then watts. I know I can calculate ohms from this but it should display ohms somehow?.

I Also have the svd i use the batteries that came with mine Samsung 18650 with no troubles, they are flat tops..

To get coil ohm hold top and bottum buttons at the same time for like 2 seconds it will show ohms 1st then your vlotage or watts setting..

  2. Just a little tip with this tank and coil... I have found through frustration and wasted money that if yoou want the best performance add couple flavor wicks aka silica right on top of the top coil. I then drip a couple drops directly into the wick on top of the coils and on the side walls where the "heat shield" is. The key is to get that heat shield saturated so that it doesn't burn; much like prepping a carto. I then let it sit on a papper towel for about 30 minutes to absorb and then put in tank and prime. The problem with these coils is that heat shield takes way to long to absorb enough juice before it burns and then your srewed. Atleast this is my theory.. So far, sooooooo gooood... I have found I have to replace the flavor wick every other day, I drip a drop of juice on it before putting it on top of the coil with tweazers so it doesn't burn out to fast.

  3. I have the MVP 2..I also vape cotton candy , its my favorite flavor and can be tricky when it comes to burning coils and flavor loss after a certain time vaping.. what tank are you using on it? With that flavor I tended to stick around a 2.2-2.5 ohm wick and 5-7 watts or 4.2 volts.. I found that a 70/30 60/40 vg/pg works best with that flavor, but this all depends on what tank you use and coil (dual coil-single coil and other types of tanks/attys. I actualy experienced vape hit/time problems with mine.. After about 4 months of vaping it the over time vape went from 10 seconds to like 3-5 seconds and it got passed on to my buddy who is just atarting to vape.. If you realy want a preview check out pbusardo's video review of the mvp2.. he is very well know and does the best reviews on Utube.

  4. I'll give this a shot since it can't hurt anything. The flavors do get muted after about 3-4 days imo.

I'm testing out now, I really need juice on my coils as I run both the 3rd and 4th air holes open together.

I used 3 strands of 1mm silica I unrelated and made a U shape and layed it on the top coil, that will hold it in place on the side walls of the coil.

LOL...I did the exact same thing so they silica doesn't fall and stays on the coil..works like a charm.. also, my chimney/drip tip would heat up when chain vaping; not no more... I also boil them in water for like 30 minutes then dry burn after it drys from boiling; this works to clean the coil heads.

  5. I just purchased a nautilist tank 4 days ago and have had nothing but a bad experience; loose draw, burnt coils; no throat hit and very lacking on the flavor. I decided to put a piece of silica on top of the coil head right on top of the coil last night...problem solved.. II get a great throat hit now, flavor and performance has improved drastically... The coil head has not burnt out yet.. I believe there are some huge quality control issues going on with these heads; they obviously can't keep up with demand because I have talked to at least 5 or 6 brick and mortar stores in my area and they all say that the coil heads are in high demand and short supply so to me that leads to quality control issues.. I am wondering if anybody else is experiencing the same problems that I am? Because from what I'm reading these tanks are getting rave reviews and up until my fix I did not get what the hell people were talking about

  6. Pt2 leaked bad forever, before i figured out it was bad o-rings, now it works fine; but still to tight on the draw..any top loaded coil tank used suked.. I just purchased a Nautilus and so far i'm disapointed with the draw and over all performance has not been good.. The 2 large holes seem to be to large and i get a wide open draw, the 2 small holes are two small...I have somewhat solved that problem by closing the largest air flow hole half way..Both of the coils have burnt out in 2 days on 3.7V -5W.. it hits like **** on Watt setting, but does somewhat better on volts i have no clue why..The flavor seems to be lacking and throat hit..The B&M i bought it at gave me a replacement coil and i found some info that the coils may perform better on 50/50 juice? If anyone could give some advice that woul be great.. FYI, I use an SVD now, used to use Mvp2 until that broke.

  7. This is the 4th time that I have ordered Kanger coils from sweet vapes.com because they are a good price fast shipping and I hardly ever get a bad coil. The only problem is all 4 times my orders have been duplicated. I always make sure and am very careful to only click the order confirmation button once.once I order then go to my email and every time i see duplicate emails come through with two different order numbers then I go back to the website and of course there is two orders of the same item at the same time. I have emailed sweet vapes about this problem. they seem to think that I am hitting the order confirmation button twice when in reality I am only hitting it once.. I am obviously only ordering one pack of 5 coils why would I possibly order twice and pay for shipping twice. I have tried to get this corrected through emails to no avail. the last time this happened they did reverse the charges to my bank and I have yet to be actually double charged. But this is only because I have been vigilant in looking at my orders. I am wondering if anybody else has had this problem when ordering through this website. I am thinking that maybe the fact that I'm using a tablet to order may have something to do with it. I do not know how their website software is written but there is obviously something going on with their order button. They have yet to admit it nore address it...its really not that big of a deal when I'm ordering $9 worth of coils, but what happens if I order a large ticket item from them and get double charged for it?

  8. It's been a while and I finally decided it's time to start vaping again and leaving those nasty sticks alone. I still have my ProVari and the last good atty I used and loved was the HH 357.. and my favorite e juice vendors was VT, Pink Spot Vapors and Alien Visions Bobas Bounty was my absolute favorite.

Now I plan on getting a few flavors i like from those sites but just wanna see what new sites and flavors you guys are enjoying these days.. Any new Mods, atty's or tanks and where the best deals are.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I bought the portank 2 from some local shop and the bottom where you fill your juice won't screw back in properly, doubt they'll let me exchange it so was wondering if those were any good or should i go with a better tank.

    Thank you for your time

In regards to the protank, have you looked at all the O-rings to make sure they're seated properly? Also there maybe some fragments of metal from the milling process that are stuck in the groovesof that bottom cap. If you still have trouble I would definitely take it back and raise hell you definitely got a bad tank, it happens. Quality control. also you will notice over time that you will get gurgling and spitting overtime because the top and bottom o-rings get compressed and decompressed every time you fill; also they will break downand and have to be replaced. I would go to a local plumbing store and get a variety pack of o-ringsjust see what size you needand that solves the problem with gurgling when or if that problem does arise for you; it did for me obviously happen in my case ...sad to say I will never buy a pro tank again..I now own a G-50 5ml tank and I couldn't be happier. I have yet to have a problem with it. I get monster hits from it works flawlessly, blows away the pro tank.

  9. Yeah I'm gonna check out the SID I want a color one rather than stainless steel.. I quite like the look of the kamry k100 and k102 aswell but the k100 I want to look girly like this pic ygane2yv.jpg dunno if it's any good or not tho tbh just like the color people stare at me ATM when I'm in the street vaping like WTF is that thing in ur hand lol

    Lmao

  10. Maybe I could have sugar coated my title of this thread, but lets face facts; if your wife is pissed off at you for vaping in the house you ain't getting "any"sugar any time soon... 99% of married men are "somewhat" ***** whipped; the way i see it, if you don't admit it your a liar.. I've been married for 15 years and after a certain time in your marriage if you don't have a mutual understanding and respect you don't have a marriage. This ain't about being pusswhipped it's about respecting your spouses wishes; she respects mime and i respect hers. I hope people don't think I'm on my high horse here, thats not my intention; it was just to discuss what I thought to be an unbroached subject in this forum.

  11. I started vaping about 3 weeks ago but I have really researched this topic alot and I dont agree with the OP that the "jury is out". If there is any jury out its to prove its harmful. Since I started vaping, my wife has tried it a few times and actually likes it so i can vape anywhere in the house or cars and I do. My step-son likes the smell a lot, but he also likes the smell of my pipe. Certain odors and scents have a life long impression on someone's memory so i am pretty sure when my step son is my age, and I'm dead and gone, he'll think of me when/if he smells a pipe. That said, I do try to limit my pipe smoking around him but he comes into my man cave often to look at all my cool things in here (guitars, weights, computer stuff, model cars, etc).

Here is an excellent video that talks about the topic of vape safety. Check it out

I meant that I think the jury is still out on second hand vapor, not vaping in general. I would hope that the FDA persues until no evidents is found for everyones own good. Let me also state that I don't believe the FDA is the savior;/last word on the subject... l'am not gullable follower of that what the Federal government states is true; i'am not that stupid... money talks and bs walks

  12. Not sure if this topic has been broached yet in this forum. Do you vape while others who don't vape reside in your house; mainly children; this the point of me bringing this up since the jury is still out on health effects of second hand vapor is indeed safe for others... I personaly choose to stand at the door, go outside or if i'm on the 2nd floor of my house I will blow it out the bathroom window. I would personaly choose to do this whether my wife was apposed or not. Whats your take on this subject?

  13. I'm pretty new to the mod/vaping game. I use an MVP2 with a G-50 tank....tried KPt2 but hated it after only 2 good weeks of vaping started having head ache after head ache.. so now I only use my G-50 and it works great, seems to be perfectly suited for my needs..I, like many of us want good flavor and smoke/throat hit..I have tried every brand of wick there is and have come to the conclusion that Kanger makes the longest lasting wicks.. I would like to start rebuilding wicks. Does this rebuilding give the wicks greater longevity? Better overall performance amd flavor in general vs OEM wicks? If so, how, why, and also what is the reasoning for the twisting? Also whats with the cotton? I have heard many people state that cotton tastes nasty even sfter boiling or even getting hi grade cotton.

  14. I'am in the exact boat as you except I prefer bottum/drip fed wick tanks...I found the top coil style wicks to be way to problematic.. I tried kpt2 but had problems spitting and leaking onto the battery. I found a resolution to that by swapping both the top and bottum O-rings that meet the glass part of the tank with O-rings I got from a local plumbimg store. I got an assortment pack and had to find the right size; but once I did that no more problems. I found that the kpt2 did not produce as strong enough vape for me . also, always make sure you don't buy knock off wicks, this is a huge part of the problem with leaking, burnt coils, etc etc..I buy nothing buy genuine Kanger wicks from Sweet Vaps (they advertise on here) I get 5 packs for like 9$ with shipping and try to stay away from lower ohm wicks; they burn out very fast. I use 2.3-2.5 and almost never have problems now.. If your looking for a deep lung hit you can set your voltage and watts higher with higher ohm wicks and get that deep hit without sacrificing wicks. I have my 2.5 wick set at 4.1-4.2 /6.5-7..

In respect to tanks I spotted a tank at a local store that looked very cool and performs like a champ. The name is "G-50". This is the best tank Ive used in my short vaping time span. This tank holds 5ml and hits like a monster. To tell you the truth I bought it for it's looks and was blown away with it's performance. They offer differents colors/looks, mine is chrome. If you google it you will be able to see some pics. I personaly think this tanks blows any pro tank out of the water. I believe this is a lesser known tank, but it"s rep will grow as more people try it.

  15. I have finaly solved my nightmare issues with all 3 of my tanks (KPT1and 2 and my G-50... I narrowed the issues down to the wick o-ring and changing to cotton for juice absorbtion .I just use a tiny rolled up piece. I went to a couple hardware stores and bought alot of different O-rings; tried them all to no avail... My focus with the o-rings was at the bottom of the wick that screws into the bottom plate of the tank. I figured a different ring would work, that wasn't it... I was almost ready to throw in the towel when I decided to double up the OEM O-rings and it works perfectly. I use Smoke and Kanger wicks for this, but would think any kind would work with just doubling them up. Keep in mind you have to use a tad bit more force when first screwing down the wick into the bottom plate the first time, but after that your good to go.

I have put this method to the test by blowing into the mouthpiece of the tank and no juice comes out the wick end at all.. I also put it to the hot/cold test..put it in my pockect while shoveling the driveway and hit it in 10 degree temps, then went back in doors and hit with no problem; where is before I would have a spitting leaking mess on my hands. My hits are alot better with the cotton...I'm not certain if using cotton helped or not but I'm pretty sure it plays a roll..

FYI,I'm posting this info because I known of alot of people who have this issue in hopes this helps people save time, money and frustration.

  16. cool looking now. also at the nitecore intelligent charger and batteries. this will be awhile as I have jeep repairs and a new computer to build for photo editing *SIGH*

Have you looked at considered the VTR? If I was going to spend 100$ thats the direction I would take; have heard nothing but good things about it and I have read alot of reviews.

  17. I recntly asked my local vape shop if they had the T3 in stock and he told me they were having problems with them and he wouldn't order them till he was sure the probldms were resolved; he did not mention what the problems were... If I were you I would contact the vendor and Kanger, get a refund and wait till they iron out the issues.

I should add that just recently I have been using 100% Kosher VG+ 50/50 extra strong on the juice (Cotton Candy)..What I do is apox 80% of the Kosher and 20% of of the 50/50 with heavy flavor.. the reason I do this is becaue I found that the 100% vg don"t give me the flavor i"m looking for and it has, lets say, an aquired taste. This ratio along with a Voltage between 3.9-4.4 and 2.2 wick gets me the flavor punch, at the same time not the sharp back of the throat harshness if I chain Vape. I also haven"t even experienced the slightest gurgl

I have been experiencing the same issues you spoke of, but like I said mime was with the kpt2 with the MVP. I took my tank completely apart, checked all seals/gaskets, I have also messed around with adding more flavor wicks a little at a time to no avail. It wasn't until I switched juices that my problem was corrected. If you think about it; it all makes perfect sense. If you pour a thick liquid into a cup it"s going to be alot harder to suck up vs a thinner liquid. Also a thicker juice is less likely to evaporate vs a thinner; this should also hold true as far as wicks burning out quiker...

  18. Just thought I would pass on a lesson I learned today. It is the first time it has happened and I have been soaking my coils in alcohol and then washing with Dawn dish liquid when changing flavors. Today after I had put a coil through that process and it was dry I put it in my tank and filled it with my Unicorn Blood. It tasted just like Dawn. I kept vaping thinking that the taste would eventually go away but it did not and when I thought it is only a dollar and through it in the garbage and put a new coil in It did not taste the Dawn anymore. ( I had wondered if Unicorn Blood had this taste since it is the first time I have tried it ). So from now on when changing flavors it's just a soak in alcohol over night, rinse with very hot water, dry then reuse. I think I can still taste the Dawn and it is not a good taste. The alcohol does not leave a taste on the coil.

    Denatured alcohol?

  19. There are 2 threads with this issue, but with the KPT2, I have found a 2.2 wick and 100% Vg juice fixed my problem I was having for a very long frustrating period... May I ask what ratio your juices are? Also, keep in mind that a high to modsrate acidic juice will compromise your seals/gaskets.. I think the Kpt2/3 are having the same related symptoms.
