  1. I ran across this site trying to find out more info on my states possible ecig ban. Please sign if you have the time, they cant ban ecigs in my state or any other for that matter, I cant go back to real cigs!!! JamBone http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/e-cigarette-support
  2. wow, hats off to ya Brandon, thats a very nice mod and I like it a lot!! I have seen one other huge mod out there that had two attys but in a small box thats not a bad idea. Good work man!!!
  3. lol, I have a pretty high SAF in my house, she dont tell me no very often, I guess i got lucky! Most mods should be pretty SAF friendly as long as you dont do it mod in there area you should be fine. Oh and most important of all, keep as little of a mess around you as possible, it makes the mod build a little longer but it keeps them at bay...
  4. Thanks everyone, Im glad y'all like it and Im glad I actually got it to work. The idea isnt original but has been a blast working on and cant wait to make another. Here is a run down of how I made it if you have any questions feel free to ask. JamBone Well grab what material you want to us and plan out what you want out of it and picture how everything will fit and rip out what needs to come out to make room. The wiring was pretty easy, just run your red wire(positive ) from the positive battery lead to one of the button/switch terminals, then from the other terminal of the button to the inside center of the battery connecter(make sure you don’t cover the little hole inside the battery connecter). Then run the neg. wire from the neg. terminal to the inner wall making sure not to touch the bottom or the positive wire. The placement of the battery is up to the modder and the materials they are using, after my first box mod I realize you want the battery as close to the atty as possible and if your going for a juicebox have your bottle on the side of the box and not in the center, makes for easy pumping with a small notch cut out(going to try it out on my next build). When you get your bottles, get a few different sizes so your not stuck with a bottle that’s to small. I used fish tank hose for the tube and all I had to seal it with super glue(I know I know not the greatest idea but it works for now). I just found a drill bit the size of the tube and drilled out holes in the box and the cart, try for a slight up angel drilling into the cart towards the mouth piece. The tube was to big for the atomizer pumps neck so I had to take the spray nozzle cap that shoot the stream out when pressed and cut out the outer part so all that was left was the part that snaps onto the atomizer pump neck and work that into the tube and snapped it on(NOTE DRILL A HOLE THROUGH THE CENTER BEFORE CUTTING). To hole the battery connecter in place I used a little epoxy putty and it seems to be hold up very well! The spare atty holder is a life saver and almost the best part about the mod, it comes in very handy! Battery size is pretty much determined on the size of the box or material you are using, so before you start buying batteries, boxes and bottles find out dimensions of the three.
  5. sorry it has taken so long for me to post back, I just got my bottles in the mail a few days ago and had to get it setup and what not. Well it seems the bottles I order were a little smaller then I thought they were going to be, so needless to say I had to just work with what I had, it works but doesn't look the greatest. But over all for my first mod I am very happy with the out come and the way it vapes, its also great not having to fill the carts or change them out. I have been using it for almost 2 days now and only had 2 flood problems because I didn't have enough filler in the cart to act as a buffer and I was pumping the crap out of it because it didn't look like anything was pumping into the cart. I will give some details on this one if you guys really want them, if the bottle was bigger then it would work the way I want it to but as for now I have to open the box to pump. JamBone EDIT: Now that I know what i did wrong in this mod I can only hope my next one will be better, I will post them as I start/finish them and any ideas on what can be done better would be great.
  6. this is a quick review of this plug. I had no luck with my first two which came out of the same mold, so needless to say I made my first mold wrong. My second mold on the other hand using the small tube running through the air hole you make works great, words cant say how well it works. I didnt see the point in using the wore mesh(if you read that far into the thread) sense after you bake it at 350 for 20 minutes to cure its pretty much good to go, after that just find the right straw length for your cart and your in business with no leaks or flooding. I have been using the same mold with the tube inserted for a few hours now and it sitting up to see if it would flood and it vapes like a king, no flooding. Just my $0.02 and hope this helps out. I will post back more in the next day or so with more results. JamBone EDIT: when making your plug use a #9 star instead of 10 if using a 510 and dont run it all the way through it will make the hole to big, just run it up to right before it starts to bow out. and pull your hose out as well when baking, have heard you can keep it in but not going to try it.
  7. I am by no means taking credit for this mod, I am simply sharing my findings with you guys in hopes it this may work for you like it has for others. Im always trying to find something new other then the blue foam and even if this isnt it, it sure has been fun messing around with it. It does seem you have to play with it a little but once you make one that works keep it with that atty sense no atty is really made the same. Good luck and hope you have as much fun with it as I have been! JamBone http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartridge-mods/60406-sfy-plug-inspired-zfm.html
  8. yep just seen that thread, thanks for the heads up.
  9. mcquinn, if you dont mind my asking, how did you go about making the usb passthru and are yours 3.7v or 5v
  10. lmao, no kidding, once you get everything you need to make it, it is pretty cheap. If you dont have soldering iron, epoxy putty, solder and a few other things then your first build can get a little high but very well worth the money spent and each build after cost pennys. i also got a charger that will charge a wide variety of batterys so no matter what I use I can charge within reason.
  11. a homemade passthru huh very nice, how did you make it and is it a 5v or 3.7?
  12. Yeah, I would be more then happy to keep y'all updated on things, its not going to be just like the carlos JB but something close to it and nothing original on my part but the atty holder. I can also take another pic with the battery out so you can see how it is wired, very basic. Once it is all together it should be pretty easy to see how it operates, but I will also give some details for those who want to try it out as well.
  13. stubear62, I agree, they do have a lot of parts and boxes to choose from. I need to get a bigger box for my next one so i can use the bigger battery, but I love the juicebox concept because I hate refilling and changing carts all the time. Glad y'all like it!
  14. yeah I got most all my parts at madvapes and my first box, but when it got the box I noticed it was to small for what i wanted to do with it, so I went with this box. Once the bottles get in the mail I will add that in and post the pics of it and I love the atty holder as i dont have to carry an extra case of some sort for my spare! But yes my next box with be bigger and more power!!
  15. nice work man and you arent kidding about it being very addicting, I'm almost dont with my first one and want to start on another already!
