  1. Agreed. Cartos are the thing to use if you want big flavor. And since you use a 510 anyway it's just the $10 for 5 to try them out. Been using the same 5 for about 20 or so days. 3 of them have dropped of in vapor production too much to use and my last two will be done in the next few days. They don't last as long for sure but flavor is great. They are meant to be disposable.
  2. Get said card from walmart and buy from an online vendor. DONT GO TO THE MALL! As I'm sure others have said the 510 is a good bet. A starter kit for around $50 is all you need to start. Pick up some juice that sounds appealing and you're good to go. Don't start with high nicotine. Start with the lowest possible. Something like 6 or 9mg. You don't seem to have been smoking long so you really may want to consider getting some 0 nic juice. It has all the benefits without kepping you addicted to nicotine. Maybe get some low nic juice and some no nic and only use the nic when you have a particularly heavy craving. Just think using nicotine as little as possible will help you get away from the addiction. Get out while you can. The people here on the forum have for the most part smoked for a long time. You can't really understand how much you will regret continuing to use nicotine when you wake up 5 years or more from now and wish you quit. You are at a point that may be easy to quit using the e-cig to help. Well enough parental guidance... Good luck.
  3. I would love a vp pt but too expensive for now. I use one of the $15 ones and it works quite well. Some say they break but i'm on month 2 without problems. I like the ones without a battery box in line. I also use a power pack that lets me vape all day on the go with it.
  4. I used my first one for 5 days before I felt like I should break out a new one. I'm still using it until it stops producing further. I'd say I could get a solid week which is what I was hoping for. After 5 days I feel like a cleaning would be a good idea as juice starts to break down and sit in the filler. Good luck with them.
  5. Well starting day 5 on my first carto and it has met my goal of 5 days. Very happy with the performance. The vapor production and taste did drop off a bit on day 4 which I expected. I think it's burning a little lower temp as the atty ages. Seems like the performance will just slowly drop off until I start a new one. Very easy to use. Have not seen any blue foam, pulled out scissors, dripped every vape, or had carts vapor locked. This is the bees knees! Cartos are everything I wanted in a cart!
  6. Hey welcome to VT! Glad to hear you have had good luck with the vaping. Everyone seems to have you all helped out so just a hello. Amazing how quickly you realize you don't care about looking and tasting like analogs. Be careful, soon you will have flashlights with attys and boxes and passthroughs! Have fun!
  7. Hehe ya the smoking inside was one of the original selling points for me. No more smokey clothes either. Didn't realize how bad I smelled until my sense of smell returned. Just remember that e cigs are still not very well known by most people. Be prepared if vaping in bars or other businesses to be treated as a smoker. Sometimes other patrons have not been keen on me vaping and I am asked to stop. Most of the time it's from smokers that can't smoke so they don't want me to be allowed. Haha! Just remember to be respectful and stop if asked. Good luck you'll love that 510!
  8. From a price standpoint that is a very good deal. I don't have any experience with this vendor, nor do I know the quality of the products. That pcc is a design I haven't seen before. Actually looks pretty cool. Something that you may want to ask vaporlites is do they use joye 510 atomizers or knock offs. $5 for a spare atty almost has to be a knock of atty. $8 battery... I am leaning towards pass on this deal. That is a lot of gear for the price but could bite you later. I am all about deals as my wallet is rather lonely but I wouldn't buy it. I could be full of it though I'll let some others weigh in.
  9. Glad to hear you're having luck switching to vaping. I agree that awesomevapor is a good way to go. I get a lot of juice from them and they have a great deal. When you buy a 16ml bottle you also can pick a diff flavor to try at 3ml. Can't beat the juice for money on that. I found that after a while trying some flavors tobacco took a back seat to some of the others like vanilla, coca-cola, cappuccino, RY4 and such. Once your brain disassociates tobacco taste with nicotine I found that the tobacco flavor was no longer needed to keep me away from analogs. Good luck with the 901. Like others I'll say I prefer the 510. If you grab an adapter you can try out a 510 atomizer and see if it works for you. One of the best investments for me was a usb pass through. Saves a lot of battery usage. Vaping is all about testing different things out and finding whats best for you. Good luck quitting analogs!
  10. I don't know why they wouldn't but do these fit in a normal 510 pcc atomizer slot? I don't have one but these cartos seem to work great on the 510 batts so I may get one and use the batts.
  11. Do all of the 510 cartos have the sticker wrapped around them with the rubbery texture? Is this to protect your lips from heat or something? Don't really mind it i guess but it's peeling a bit at the base. I guess bare metal would feel bad between the teeth too.
  12. Well just got my cartos in and first impressions are good. I was a little apprehensive to get them as I had some worries about performance and all of the condom filling sounded like too much work. Happy to get the soft end cap ones which are a snap to fill. The performance is great with nice easy draw and great airflow (best airflow i've had). If they last me 5 days per atty I will be a converted carto user! Thanks to all who posted about them helped me out.
  13. Yes I have the janty mini fogger and it is a 306 not 307. The 306 is the same thing. Janty just sells them with a logo and a little blue swoosh on it. After a few weeks I don't use it any more as the auto batteries and carts that don't work at all made me move to the 510. I got it for the size but quickly found that the 510 being 1 mm larger diameter and a 1/2" longer didn't matter at all as it works much better. That said the janty will be more expensive but if it's worth the logo and swoosh go for it.
  14. With cinnamon It takes a while for me to get rid of the flavor when I switch. Changes all other flavors for a while.
  15. Bummer I thought this thread would be about who would win in a free for all brawl. Oh well I guess this is good enough. Get in here guests!
  16. Cool was wondering if they would last that long. Mine are in the mail. Can't wait to try them out. If I can get a 5 pack to last roughly a month I may just switch to them.
  17. Still have a couple 306 attys from my first kit. Good backups. I agree they are great for dripping. Never got a cart to work at all with them. I have to say they produce more and thicker vapor than my 510. Mcquinn are you talking about a 306 cartomizer? Haven't heard anything about that.
  18. Thinking about getting some of these. One thing that is important for me is longevity. How long have these kept going for you guys. I can get 2 months on a regular atty easily. Don't want to have to replace after a few days. Thanks.
  19. I forgot about cartomizers. I may need to grab a few of those. Wonder what sort of life span the attys have? I assume less than a normal 510. Thanks.
  20. I wanted to see if anyone would like to see a long lasting refillable cart with no filler. I love to use carts but there is a lot of fussing around to get them to work right. Has anyone thought to make a more long lasting metal cart that you just fill with fluid (no filler) then at the base is just a mesh similar to that of the atomizer. No filler no problems with wicking just a metal tube with a liquid reservoir and some permanent mesh to transfer liquid to the atty. Something along the lines of the auto drip mod but designed specifically for it.
  21. I hear you. After I started using my PT I couldn't see using anything else. Got a usb power pack so I can use it at home and on the go. Batteries just got too tedious with this I just charge once at night. Keep us updated.
  22. I agree with slick the blue foam rite size U is the ticket. I was never able to get close to satisfied with the filler that came in carts. There would be tons of liquid just sitting in the cart but none getting to the atomizer. The foam has been great for me. I cut a spring from a pen and use it to keep a small cube of filler at the top. Fill the empty space behind it with liquid pop the filler on top and add a drop or two and enjoy 60+ 4 sec hits.
  23. I use a variation of the plug with the blue foam filler. I combined the pen spring auto drip mod and the blue foam plug. Instead of packing blue foam in to hold it in place the spring stops it so the foam isn't compressed making wicking easier. I get around 60 4 sec puffs.
  24. I have a green bic pen cap that would probably never have left the pen and been lost in a couch or behind a dresser that has found a new home in my vaping box as a gauge for blue foam length. More important now than it ever could have hoped to be.
  25. congrats you will love to have that pass through around. Vanilla is so far my fav flavor! only got it in a 3 ml trial size though You have this under control so good luck!
